Former Washington Commanders OC Kliff Kingsbury is joining the Los Angeles Rams coaching staff in an undetermined role.
| Footballguys view: Who knows what the role is going to be, but this is great for Kingsbury's career. He's got a chance to learn from Sean McVay, and if you look around the league you see a ton of McVay (Shanahan tree) coaches. It may not be long before Kingsbury gets another shot to be a head coach in this league. |

He missed some time with a hamstring injury, but caught 11 passes for 185 yards with a touchdown in three postseason games. Adams was also a boon for fantasy investors. Despite being limited to 14 regular-season games, the veteran finished as WR9 in total points. He was also WR9 on a points-per-game basis. Assuming all the pieces remain in place, fantasy managers find the Rams' offense a target-rich environment this summer. |

Los Angeles Rams QB Matthew Stafford (back) will not need to undergo surgery this offseason to repair a herniated disc in his back, according to head coach Sean McVay.
| Footballguys view: Stafford entered the 2025 season with the back injury but started in all 20 games. He was also very productive. He led the NFL with 46 touchdown passes and 4,707 passing yards this year, at one point throwing a record 28 touchdown passes between interceptions. McVay told reporters during his end-of-season press conference Monday that while he hopes Stafford will return, he doesn't have an answer yet. Sean McVay's future with the Rams is secure after Monday's announcement that he's signed a multi-year contract extension with the team, but quarterback Matthew Stafford's plans are less certain. On Monday, McVay said the team will give Stafford that time while making it clear that the hope is that he's running the Rams' offense again this fall. "I'm keeping my fingers crossed like you guys that he still wants to go play," McVay said, via Greg Beachem of the Associated Press.
| Footballguys view: Stafford said after the Rams' loss to the Seahawks in the NFC Championship Game that there is a lot that goes into a decision to play an 18th NFL season and that he will "figure all that kind of stuff out with some time." As PFT notes, there's no timetable in place for Stafford to make his decision, but the sooner the Rams know whether they need to find a new quarterback, the better for their overall planning for next season. |

Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay and general manager Les Snead signed undisclosed extensions Monday, Feb. 2.
| Footballguys view: As ESPN.com notes, the pair previously signed contract extensions after winning Super Bowl LVI. Snead has been general manager of the Rams since 2012, while McVay was hired in 2017. Since 2017, the Rams have a 92-57 regular-season record, which is the fifth-best in the NFL. Since 2017, the Rams have made the playoffs seven times, playing in three NFC Championship Games and two Super Bowls. Last season, McVay became the winningest head coach in franchise history. While the Rams lost to the Seahawks in the NFC Championship to end their 2025 season, continuity here is great for fantasy investors. |
