Arizona Cardinals CB Garrett Williams (Achilles) is feared to have suffered a torn Achilles during the Week 16 game. He is scheduled to undergo an MRI to confirm the injury.
Footballguys view: Williams, 24, is in his third year with the Cardinals after he was selected at No. 72 overall in the 2023 draft. He's started 10 games this year, recording five passes defensed with one interception and a forced fumble. In all, Williams has played 35 games with 27 starts, recording 16 passes defensed with four interceptions.

Arizona Cardinals WR Marvin Harrison Jr. (heel) plans to play in Week 16's game versus the Atlanta Falcons after having missed the previous two contests due to a heel injury. However, he will not be at full strength and claimed that he will 'probably' be playing injured for the rest of the season.
Footballguys view: Harrison is going to give it a go and play through this heel injury. Against the Falcons on Sunday, we like Harrison as a WR2/flex play. With Harrison out there for the Cardinals, it does ding the potential number of targets for Michael Wilson (who is like a WR3/flex in Week 16).
Arizona Cardinals OG Evan Brown (non-injury), CB Darren Hall (concussion), OT Paris Johnson Jr. (knee), CB Max Melton (heel) and S Jalen Thompson (hamstring) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 19, and have been ruled out for Week 16. WR Marvin Harrison Jr. (heel), LB Cody Simon (ankle, knee), S Dadrion Taylor-Demerson (ankle) and WR Xavier Weaver (hamstring) were limited during practice and are listed as questionable. DE L.J. Collier (knee) fully participated in practice but is listed as questionable. DE Calais Campbell (non-injury) did not practice but is not on the injury report. OT Kelvin Beachum (non-injury) was limited during practice but is not on the injury report. Arizona Cardinals WR Marvin Harrison Jr. (heel) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 19, and is listed as questionable for Week 16.
Footballguys view: When asked about his expected return this week, Harrison responded, "We're going to see." Our rankings favor Harrison over Michael Wilson, but both sit on the WR2/WR3 fringe. If Harrison cannot play, Wilson would move into the top ten.
Arizona Cardinals RB Michael Carter will start at running back in Week 16.
Footballguys view: Emari Demercado has always been a change-of-pace option, so Carter was expected to handle the bulk of the work. Demercado will likely see some usage, especially on passing downs, but Carter remains the preferred fantasy option. Given the matchup against Atlanta, he profiles as a solid streaming play and a high-end RB3 in Week 16.

Arizona Cardinals WR Marvin Harrison Jr. (heel) will practice Wednesday, Dec. 17. The practice will just be a walkthrough.
Footballguys view: Let's see what Harrison looks like later in the week. If he returns to the field in Week 16, it dings the fantasy value for Michael Wilson. Harrison against the Falcons is a potentially juicy matchup, but we could only recommend him as a WR3/flex option if he plays.
Arizona Cardinals RB Bam Knight (ankle) was placed on season-ending injured reserve on Tuesday, Dec. 16.
Footballguys view: The team will now rely on Michael Carter, who had a decent game in place of Knight in Houston, rushing for 54 yards on 14 carries, while also assisting as a pass blocking back. Emari Demercado could also play a greater role in his second game back from a sprained ankle, but Carter will be front and center.
Arizona Cardinals WR Jalen Brooks and WR Trent Sherfield reverted back to the practice squad Monday, Dec. 15, after being on the active roster for Week 15.

Cardinals RB Bam Knight, who was carted off Sunday with an ankle injury, suffered what is being described as "a bad sprain," but nothing is broken. Knight will undergo an MRI today to confirm the diagnosis. He is unlikely to play this week.
Footballguys view: As we noted immediately after this injury, Michael Carter got the vast majority of the work in the backfield after Knight went out. He was productive enough against an elite Texans defense to merit a waiver pickup with a more manageable matchup against the Falcons coming up in Week 16 -- although Emari Demercado could play a greater role in his second week back from his ankle injury.
Arizona Cardinals S Budda Baker and CB Garrett Williams each had eight total stops and five solo tackles in Week 15 against the Houston Texans. Williams was credited with a tackle for loss, too.

Arizona Cardinals TEs Pharaoh Brown and Elijah Higgins were each targeted twice in Week 15 against the Houston Texans. Higgins had a single 3-yard catch, while Brown had two grabs for one yard.

Arizona Cardinals WR Jalen Brooks had a 19-yard reception on his only touch with three targets in Week 15 against the Houston Texans, and he was also credited with a lost fumble.
Link to storyArizona Cardinals WR Michael Wilson registered five receptions for 54 yards and a touchdown on 11 targets in Week 15 against the Houston Texans.

Arizona Cardinals TE Trey McBride posted 12 receptions for 134 yards and two touchdowns on 13 targets in Week 15 against the Houston Texans.
Footballguys view: McBride reached the 100-catch mark and 1,000 yards for back-to-back seasons, something not even Travis Kelce has done. In addition to catching Arizona's first two TD passes of the game, 97 of McBride's 134 yards came after the catch, and he now has the longest streak of games with five or more receptions by a tight end in NFL history with 16, passing Kelce (15) on the all-time list. As NFL.com suggested, Arizona's offense figures to look different in multiple respects next season, but the one thing you can absolutely count on is McBride being a centerpiece.
Arizona Cardinals RB Emari Demercado rushed once for one yard in Week 15 against the Houston Texans, while adding two receptions for zero yards on three targets.
Link to storyArizona Cardinals RB Corey Kiner ran twice for 11 yards in Week 15 against the Houston Texans.
Link to storyArizona Cardinals RB Michael Carter rushed 14 times for 56 yards in Week 15 against the Houston Texans, while he had four receptions for 38 yards on four targets.

Arizona Cardinals QB Jacoby Brissett completed 27-of-40 passes for 249 yards, three touchdowns and one interception in Week 15 against the Houston Texans.
Footballguys view: As CBSSports.com notes, the three TDs -- two to Trey McBride and one to Michael Wilson -- were a season high for the veteran QB, but the success is only surprising because it came against a tough Houston defense. Brissett has tossed multiple scores in eight of the last nine games, posting an impressive 18:6 TD to INT ratio since taking over for Kyler Murray (foot) in Week 6. Brissett will look to establish a new career high in passing TDs on a season in Week 16 against the Falcons.

Arizona Cardinals RB Bam Knight (ankle) rushed once for minus-2 yards in Week 15 against the Houston Texans before leaving in the first quarter with an ankle injury. He was unable to return.
Footballguys view: Michael Carter got the vast majority of the work in the backfield after Knight went out. He was productive enough against an elite Texans defense to merit a waiver pickup with a more manageable matchup against the Falcons coming up in Week 16.
Updating a previous report, Arizona Cardinals WR Andre Baccellia (neck) suffered a neck injury in Week 15 against the Houston Texans on a kick return. He was immobilized and carted off, but he was alert with full movement in all of his extremities. He was taken to a Houston-area hospital for further evaluation. Head coach Jonathan Gannon said Sunday, Dec. 14 that he expects Baccellia will fly home with the team.
Footballguys view: Baccellia has played 18 career games since entering the NFL in 2020 as an undrafted free agent. He has mainly been a practice squad player for the Cardinals, who signed him in 2021. Injuries have earned him snaps on offense at times, but he's not a viable fantasy candidate.

Arizona Cardinals QB Jacoby Brissett ranks first in the NFL in passing yards, completions and pass attempts since taking over as the starter in Week 6.
Footballguys view: Things look so much different for the Cardinals' offense with Brissett running the show. Brissett completed 25-of-44 attempts for 271 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception in the Cardinals' Week 14 loss against the Rams. This week, he'll face another aggressive defense in the Houston Texans. Entering his age-34 season in 2026, Brissett is under contract through next season.

TE Elijah Higgins (illness) did not practice on Friday and is listed as questionable. DL L.J. Arizona Cardinals RB Emari Demercado (ankle) was limited in practice on Friday, Dec. 12, and is listed as questionable for Week 15.
Footballguys view: Demercado has been out since Week 11. In his absence, the Cardinals have split touches fairly evenly between Bam Knight and Michael Carter. If Demercado returns, he could take a solid share of the passing-down work, giving him some potential for future fantasy value. Still, most managers should take a wait-and-see approach this week and hope for more clarity heading into Week 16. If Demercado sits again, both Knight and Carter warrant RB3 consideration.
