Eagles | Ja'Quinden Jackson released from hospital Sun Aug 23, 11:31 AM
Updating previous reports, Philadelphia Eagles RB Ja'Quinden Jackson (head) was released from a Baltimore-area hospital Saturday, Aug. 22, and joined his teammates for their return trip to Philadelphia, after a CT scan on his head came back negative. Jackson was injured after colliding with the leg of Baltimore Ravens RB Lan Larison on the opening kickoff of Saturday's preseason game. He was carted off the field and taken to the hospital for further evaluation but had strength and movement in all extremities.

Philadelphia Eagles WR Makai Lemon (hamstring) returned to practice Thursday, Aug. 20.
Footballguys view: It's good to see the first-round pick out there for the Eagles. He's missed most of the offseason and training camp with this hamstring problem. Earlier reports suggested the team would be committed to getting Lemon the ball in a number of ways. Lemon has a current ADP of WR57 (10.08) in 12-team PPR leagues. We'll see if he can stay healthy and get ramped up before Week 1.
Philadelphia Eagles LB Jonathan Greenard (pectoral) could miss the season opener as defensive coordinator Vic Fangio admitted there's concern for it.

Philadelphia Eagles WR DeVonta Smith (hamstring) participated in practice Monday, Aug. 17.
Footballguys view: Smith missed the last couple of weeks with his hamstring injury, so his return is obviously good news. The Eagles' pre-practice injury report said that Smith will be a limited participant. Smith's return means that the Eagles are now only waiting for Makai Lemon to fill out their receiver group. Lemon is also dealing with a hamstring injury and has been out since early August.

Philadelphia Eagles LB Jihaad Campbell played in the preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday, Aug. 15, and he was the only starter to participate. He was on the field for 14 snaps, or 18 percent of the defensive plays. Head coach Nick Sirianni said he was the only starter to play because 'he did not have a lot of reps last year.'

Philadelphia Eagles QB Andy Dalton made the start in the preseason game Saturday, Aug. 15, against the Baltimore Ravens, completing 3-of-6 passes for 20 yards, while QB Tanner McKee completed 6-of-10 passes for 35 yards, and he was sacked once. 'I'll let the coaches decide (the backup job winner),' McKee said. 'My job is to go out and play when I'm put on the field, so how that's going, I'm going to put in the work, I'm going to do the extra stuff. I'm going to do everything to have my case of why I believe I should be the backup.'

Philadelphia Eagles RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) left practice early Thursday, Aug. 13, and had his ankle checked out by a trainer.
Footballguys view: Barkley never went to the medical tent, but removed his cleat. Sounds like it's a minor issue, but we will be monitoring closely. Tank Bigsby has a high ceiling if Barkley misses any time this season.

Philadelphia Eagles WR Elijah Moore has been one of the 'primary players' to take advantage of the continued absence of WRs DeVonta Smith (hamstring) and Makai Lemon (hamstring), according to ESPN's Tim McManus.
Footballguys view: Let's keep an eye on Moore in the preseason. He's a veteran player who can make plays in practice, but he's essentially the no.5 receiver for the Eagles on their depth chart. It's good he's making plays, and with Smith/Lemon banged up guys like Moore will get more looks in the preseason.

Philadelphia Eagles WR DeVonta Smith (hamstring) missed practice on Monday, Aug. 10. It was the fifth practice in a row that Smith has missed due to a hamstring injury.
Footballguys view: Fellow wideouts Makai Lemon and Britain Covey have also been absent due to hamstring injuries, leaving Dontayvion Wicks and Hollywood Brown as the team's top healthy wideouts. Elijah Moore and Darius Cooper should also see more first-team snaps as a result. We'll continue monitoring, but as CBSSports.com notes, Smith's hamstring injury is seemingly minor, and the lengthy absence is a precaution.

Philadelphia Eagles WR Makai Lemon (hamstring) did not practice on Monday, Aug. 10, marking the fifth consecutive practice he's missed due a hamstring injury.
Footballguys view: The team is not expressing any long-term concern, but these are meaningful reps -- especially for a rookie. Lemon missed minicamp as well with a hamstring injury. He has served primarily as the starting slot receiver when healthy, but hasn't produced many splash moments to date. It's important that Jalen Hurts gets as many snaps as possible with his skill players as the offense breaks in a new system in the post A.J. Brown era. We'll continue to monitor.

Philadelphia Eagles WR Makai Lemon (hamstring) did not participate in practice Saturday, Aug. 8.
Footballguys view: Lemon missed some time with a hamstring issue in OTAs but was reportedly 100% at the beginning of training camp. Since he's a rookie, missing this much time is a bad sign for his ability to be fantasy relevant, at least early in the season. Lemon's ADP should be dropping in redraft leagues, and Dontayvion Wicks should be on our early season waiver wire watch list as the likely #2 receiver to begin the season.

Philadelphia Eagles WR DeVonta Smith (hamstring) did not participate in practice Saturday, Aug. 8.
Footballguys view: Another day passes with no change to Smith's status. Hopefully he will return to practice soon and get a few sessions in without incident so we can feel safe drafting him at an elevated ADP that assumes he will be a high volume #1 receiver with AJ Brown traded to New England. If Smith's hamstring issues persist into the season, it will be a problem for the whole offense, not just Smith's fantasy stock.

Philadelphia Eagles C Cameron Jurgens (undisclosed) resumed practicing Saturday, Aug. 8, after making an early exit from practice for an undisclosed reason Friday, Aug. 7. Jurgens had spent time in the team's medical tent before heading indoors with trainers.

Link to storyPhiladelphia Eagles WR DeVonta Smith (hamstring) was held out of practice for a second straight day on Wednesday, Aug. 5, due to a sore hamstring.
Footballguys view: We're not worried about this yet, but if Smith doesn't return to practice in the next week or so, then we will have to at least consider downgrading him because of the possibility of recurrence during the season, especially early in the season. The Eagles offense can't afford to be without Smith, so expect the team to be conservative with his return to the field.

Philadelphia Eagles WR Makai Lemon (hamstring) missed practice for a second consecutive day on Wednesday, Aug. 5, due a sore hamstring.
Footballguys view: It's time to start moving Lemon down your redraft board. He missed time this spring, and now is missing practice during the important installation of a new offense. Lemon is also missing out on reps that would strengthen his chemistry with Jalen Hurts. As of now, we should pencil Dontayvion Wicks in as the #2 receiver in Philadelphia.

Philadelphia Eagles WR Makai Lemon (hamstring) is out of practice Tuesday, Aug. 4.
Footballguys view: Early reports suggest the injury isn't serious. NBCSports' Reuben Frank notes the Eagles are generally conservative with these sorts of soft-tissue injuries. For a rookie, missing training camp installation days can be a significant setback, and the sooner Lemon, who was watching Tuesday's session from the sideline, gets back, the easier it will be for him to acclimate to this offense.

Philadelphia Eagles WR DeVonta Smith (hamstring) is out of practice Tuesday, Aug. 4.
Footballguys view: According to local reports, the Eagles don't believe the injury is serious. There's no timetable for Smith's return, however. NBCSports' Reuben Frank notes the Eagles are generally conservative with these sorts of soft-tissue injuries. With Smith and rookie Makai Lemon (hamstring) both watching from the sidelines, the Eagles had offseason acquisitions Hollywood Brown, Elijah Moore, and Dontayvion Wicks at WR at practice Tuesday, along with incumbents Darius Cooper, Johnny Wilson, Danny Gray, and Quez Watkins. We'll continue to watch for more.

Philadelphia Eagles WR Dontayvion Wicks had 'another quality practice' on Saturday, Aug. 1, according to Tim McManus of ESPN.com.
Footballguys view: Wicks should get first shot to replace AJ Brown at X receiver. He flashed earlier in his career with the Packers, but inconsistent hands and injuries slowed his development before the Eagles traded for him earlier in the offseason. He should be on our waiver wire watch list, although first round pick Makai Lemon should also have a sizeable role in the passing game and could steal Wicks opportunity if he shows he can hang with NFL corners outside of the slot.
