Footballguys view: Good news for Schultz and the Texans here. Against the Chargers on Saturday, we like Schultz as a low-end TE1.

Houston Texans RB Woody Marks (ankle) fully participated in practice Thursday, Dec. 25, and is not on the injury report for Week 17.
Footballguys view: It will be good for the Texans to have Marks out there against the Chargers on Saturday. In a tough matchup, Marks has flex appeal for Fantasy GMs playing in Week 17 championships.

Houston Texans RB Woody Marks (ankle) returned to practice on Tuesday, Dec. 23.
Footballguys view: Marks was injured in the Texans' Week 15 win over the Colts and was inactive for this past Sunday's win over the Raiders. As CBSSports.com noted, in Mark's absence, Jawhar Jordan out-snapped Nick Chubb 30 to 21, with Jordan rushing 15 times for 53 yards and adding five catches for 17 yards on five targets. Jordan would likely again be in line to lead the backfield if Marks misses Week 17 against the Chargers. We'll be watching for more on Mark's status in advance of Saturday's matchup.

Houston Texans RB Woody Marks was limited in practice on Friday, Dec. 19, and is listed as questionable for Week 16.
Footballguys view: Returning to practice after two DNPs to start the week is a step in the right direction, but Marks remains very questionable. We will look for more information before Sunday's games. The Texans kick off at 4:25 pm ET, which could put fantasy managers in a bind if he is a game-time decision. Nick Chubb or Jawhar Jordan should be picked up if available. If not, move Marks into your flex and consider Pat Bryant, Kayshon Boutte, Rashid Bateman, or Keaton Mitchell as potential late-game pivots. Check back with us Sunday morning for updates, when more information should hopefully be available.

Houston Texans RB Woody Marks (ankle) did not practice again on Thursday, Dec. 18.
Footballguys view: Two DNPs to begin the week of practice means Marks is on the wrong side of questionable. There's some optimism around his Friday status from reporters around the team. Let's see if the rookie can get out there and practice at least in a limited fashion then. Coming off a 100-yard game against the Cardinals in Week 15, Jawhar Jordan is a hot waiver wire addition who could get more work if Marks can't play against the Raiders.
Houston Texans RB Nick Chubb (rib) practiced for a second straight day on Thursday, Dec. 18.
Footballguys view: Good news for the Texans here with Woody Marks (ankle) missing both practices so far this week. Chubb and Jawhar Jordan could be carrying the load for the Texans as they play the Raiders in Week 16.

Houston Texans RB Jawhar Jordan was elevated from the practice squad to the active roster on Tuesday, Dec. 16.
Footballguys view: Jordan was elevated to the active roster for Sunday's game against the Cardinals and had 15 carries for 101 yards in his NFL debut. He became only the second player in team history to rush for 100 yards or higher in their NFL debut, joining Ben Tate, who had 101 yards in his debut 14 years ago. He will join Woody Marks, who has an ankle injury, Nick Chubb, who missed Sunday's game with a rib injury, and Dare Ogunbowale in the rotation at the position.
Houston Texans RB Jawhar Jordan reverted back to the practice squad Monday, Dec. 15, after being on the active roster for the Week 15 game.
Link to storyHouston Texans DT Mario Edwards Jr. (pectoral) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Monday, Dec. 15.

Houston Texans DT Mario Edwards Jr. (pectoral) will miss the rest of the season after suffering a ruptured pectoral muscle during the Week 15 game, according to head coach DeMeco Ryans.
Footballguys view: Edwards appeared in all 14 games that the Texans have played this season. He had 13 tackles and 1.5 sacks in those contests and is signed for the 2026 season. The Texans put defensive tackle Tim Settle on injured reserve earlier this month, so Edwards' injury leaves them with Tommy Togiai, Sheldon Rankins, and Naquan Jones on the interior of their defensive line.

Houston Texans RB Woody Marks (ankle) should be fine, according to head coach DeMeco Ryans. The team will monitor him through the week.
Footballguys view: Ryans decided to hold Marks, who left Sunday's win over the Cardinals in the second quarter, out for precautionary reasons. He also wanted to "keep rolling with those guys" -- Jawhar Jordan, who was called up from the practice squad over the weekend and ran for 101 yards, and Dare Ogunbowale. "Woody could have come back in the game," Ryans said. "For where he was, felt like Jawhar and Dare were doing a good job, so wanted to make sure Woody is good as we continue to go into the week." The Texans play the Raiders in Week 16.
Houston Texans WR Jayden Higgins ended up with a single 4-yard reception on his lone target in Week 15 against the Arizona Cardinals.
