Giants | Evan Engram held in check     Sun Sep 26, 05:18 PM

New York Giants TE Evan Engram caught two passes for 21 yards against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 3. He was targeted six times during the game.

Footballguys view: Engram also had a costly fumble. Even with two of the top three receivers hurt and the third not at 100%, Engram is not going to be a fantasy factor. He can be dropped if you were waiting on his return because of poor play from your other tight end options.

Giants | Kenny Golladay leads team in receiving    Sun Sep 26, 05:13 PM

New York Giants WR Kenny Golladay caught four passes for 64 yards against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 3. He was targeted five times during the game.

Footballguys view: Golladay might have gotten more work than the team planned on since Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton both went down with hamstring injuries in this one. He'll face a tough Saints secondary next week in hopefully better shape than he was this week as he nursed a hip injury.

Giants | Saquon Barkley plays well in Week 3    Sun Sep 26, 05:06 PM

New York Giants RB Saquon Barkley rushed for 51 yards and one touchdown on 16 carries against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 3. He also caught six passes for 43 yards during the game.

Footballguys view: Barkley was back to a bigger role in the passing game, which was helped by the multiple injuries in the wide receiver group. He was able to dive over the pile for a score, but might not get scoring opportunities next week against the Saints. He should still be in lineups, but lower expectations.

Giants | Daniel Jones throws for 266 yards    Sun Sep 26, 05:01 PM

New York Giants QB Daniel Jones went 24-for-35 for 266 yards, zero touchdowns and zero interceptions against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 3. He also rushed for 39 yards on eight carries during the game.

Footballguys view: Jones lost Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton during the game and Kenny Golladay isn't 100% so we can't put this completely on him. He'll face a much tougher Saints defense next week and will go back to the bench in 2QB/Superflex leagues.

Giants | Sterling Shepard leaves early    Sun Sep 26, 02:06 PM

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard (hamstring) suffered a hamstring injury during the Week 3 game and will not return.

Footballguys view: The Giants are down two starting receivers. Kenny Golladay is the healthiest starter right now, and the Giants also got Evan Engram back today at tight end.

Giants | Darius Slayton injured    Sun Sep 26, 01:42 PM

New York Giants WR Darius Slayton (hamstring) suffered a hamstring injury during the Week 3 game and has been ruled out.

Footballguys view: Slayton was set up for a big game against a weak Falcons pass defense. CJ Board and Kadarius Toney will get more work in his absence.

Giants | Blake Martinez will not return    Sun Sep 26, 01:40 PM

New York Giants LB Blake Martinez (knee) suffered a knee injury during the Week 3 game and has been ruled out.

  Giants | Kenny Golladay a game-time decision    Sun Sep 26, 08:53 AM

New York Giants WR Kenny Golladay (hip) is considered a game-time decision for Week 3's game. He must prove that he can run at full speed during pregame workouts before he is cleared to play.

Footballguys view: Golladay is a risky boom/bust play in typical leagues despite the great matchup against the Falcons. Darius Slayton and Sterling Shepard are better options from the Giants passing game.

Giants | Week 3 injury report for NY Giants    Fri Sep 24, 01:52 PM

New York Giants LB Cam Brown (hamstring) did not practice all week and has been ruled out for Week 3 versus the Atlanta Falcons. DB Nate Ebner (quad), TE Evan Engram (calf) and WR Kenny Golladay (hip) remained limited in practice Friday, Sept. 24, and are listed as questionable. RB Saquon Barkley (knee), DB Logan Ryan (hamstring), TE Kaden Smith (knee) and WR Kadarius Toney (ankle) also remained limited in practice Friday but no longer appear on the injury report. DL Austin Johnson (illness) was upgraded to a full practice Friday and has also been removed from the injury report.

Footballguys view: Engram and Golladay aren't sure to go, but Golladay is probably more likely to play than Engram. Golladay has a great matchup against Falcons, but since this is the hip that gave him problems last year, the Giants might be conservative about his usage.

Giants | Kenny Golladay limited Thursday    Thu Sep 23, 01:08 PM

New York Giants WR Kenny Golladay (hip) on Thursday, Sept. 23, was 'extremely limited' in the open portion of the team's practice.

Footballguys view: Being 'extremely' limited isn't great news. While Golladay has disappointed so far this year, Fantasy GMs can trust Sterling Shepard as he produces in 2021. We'll know more about Golladay's status on Friday.

Giants | Evan Engram on field for workout    Tue Sep 21, 01:45 AM

New York Giants TE Evan Engram (calf) was able to participate in an on-field practice Monday, Sept. 20 in shells, but no full pads.

Footballguys view: The tight end position is brutal in fantasy leagues unless you have Travis Kelce or Darren Waller. There might be Fantasy GMs in need of a return from Engram as he's missed the first two games of the season due to injury. He might be able to practice later in the week and make his regular season debut against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 3.

Giants | Kenny Golladay does little in primetime    Fri Sep 17, 01:09 AM

New York Giants WR Kenny Golladay caught three of eight targeted passes for 38 yards against the Washington Football Team in Week 2.

Footballguys view: Golladay is still having trouble getting on the same page with Daniel Jones and the two were seen getting testy with each other on the sideline during the game. We would still play Golladay next week against the Falcons, but if he doesn't come through against them, it could be time to bench him in fantasy leagues.

Giants | Darius Slayton scores in Week 2    Fri Sep 17, 12:56 AM

New York Giants WR Darius Slayton logged three receptions, 54 yards and a touchdown during the team's Week 2 loss to the Washington Football Team. Slayton was targeted six times.

Footballguys view: Slayton had a potential game-winning and fantasy week making touchdown go off of his outstretched hand. He still looks like a more viable deep threat in this offense than Kenny Golladay, and should be a what the heck flex against the Falcons next week.

Giants | Nine receptions for Sterling Shepard    Fri Sep 17, 12:41 AM

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard caught nine passes (on 10 targets) for 94 yards against the Washington Football Team on Thursday, Sept. 16.

Footballguys view: Shepard is settled in as Daniel Jones favorite target and definitely a steady WR3/Flex in PPR leagues.

Giants | Saquon Barkley runs for 57 yards on TNF    Fri Sep 17, 12:26 AM

New York Giants RB Saquon Barkley (knee) had 13 carries for 57 yards in Week 2 against the Washington Football Team. Barkley also caught two passes for 12 yards.

Footballguys view: Barkley got loose once, but otherwise was held in check and still not used to the extent he was pre-injury. He's an automatic start against the Falcons next week and with a short week of rest, he should get as much work as he can handle.

Giants | Daniel Jones plays well in loss    Fri Sep 17, 12:10 AM

New York Giants QB Daniel Jones completed 22 of 32 passes for 249 yards and a touchdown against the Washington Football Team on Thursday, Sept. 16. Jones also ran nine times for 95 yards and another score.

Footballguys view: Jones was a fantasy force on the back of his swift running, which included a long touchdown that was called back by penalty. There was also a dropped touchdown by Darius Slayton that might have won the game. Jones had his usual pocket presence issues, but he's a streamer for Week 3 against the non-existent Falcons defense.
