That will also allow both players to get first-team reps in joint practices with the Buffalo Bills ahead of the preseason game Saturday, Aug. 22.

Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson completed 11 of his 15 passes for 126 yards and rushed three times for four yards in the preseason game against the Chicago Bears Saturday, Aug. 15.
Footballguys view: Watson's numbers look good, but he was the same shadow of the quarterback he used to be in reality. It's very difficult to predict who will win this competition, but not difficult to see that Watson is a backup quality quarterback at best at this point in his career.

Cleveland Browns WR KC Concepcion caught three of his four targets for 27 yards and added a 14-yard rushing touchdown during the preseason game against the Chicago Bears Saturday, Aug. 15.
Footballguys view: Concepcion looked like he is going to play a significant role in this offense, given his talent for adding yards after the catch on safe, high percentage short throws. This was the domain of Harold Fannin Jr. last year, so the rise of Concepcion might not bode well for Fannin's ceiling even though he should be even better in his second season. Concepcion remains worth a pick in the second half of your draft as a speculative bench stash, especially in PPR leagues, but if he and fellow rookie Denzel Boston are hits, Fannin probably won't live up to expectations.
Cleveland Browns DT Elijah Chatman, OT Izavion Miller and OG Zak Zinter are several injured players dealing with undisclosed injuries. All are expected to return to practice this week, head coach Todd Monken said Sunday, Aug. 16.
Link to storyFree-agent DE Za'Darius Smith (Eagles) is expected to fly to Cleveland Sunday, Aug. 16, and could sign a contract with the Cleveland Browns shortly thereafter if all goes well. Smith had tried out for the team Thursday, Aug. 13.

Link to storyCleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson and QB Shedeur Sanders will each start one of the next two preseason games, according to head coach Todd Monken.
Footballguys view: Watson and Sanders have been rotating reps this summer. Monken said the starting quarterback will play the first half of the preseason game, while the other quarterback will play the third quarter of the game. We'll likely see a decision made after the second preseason game. No matter the decision, Fantasy GMs won't find much value here.

Free Agent TE Dae'Quan Wright (Eagles) signed with the Cleveland Browns on Tuesday, Aug. 11.
Link to storyCleveland Browns WR Denzel Boston will start working with the first-team offense during training camp, according to head coach Todd Monken.
Footballguys view: Akron Beacon Journal beat writer Chris Easterling told us late last month that Boston was arguably the offseason MVP for Cleveland's offense. Given his size and physical style of play, Easterling believes Boston could emerge as more than a threat in the red zone; he might also draw the most targets and catch more passes than the rest of the team's wideouts. KC Concepcion, as WR51, is currently the first Browns receiver off the board, in the 11th round. Boston is WR60, available in Round 13. The team's quarterback will be a factor here, but Boston's drumbeat is getting louder.
Cleveland Browns WR Jamari Thrash (leg) reverted to the Reserve/Injured list Saturday, Aug. 8, after being waived with an injury designation.

Link to storyCleveland Browns WR KC Concepcion told reports he has an AC joint sprain in his shoulder from falling on it, but he is fine, according to The Cleveland Plain Dealer's Mary Kay Cabot.
Footballguys view: Concepcion and fellow Browns high draft pick Denzel Boston have stolen the show in camp and are on the fast track to be primary targets at wide receiver. We'll monitor the Cleveland practice reports to make sure he doesn't have a recurrence of the injury.
Cleveland Browns WR Jamari Thrash was waived by the team on Friday, Aug. 7.
Link to storyCleveland Browns OG Zak Zinter (undisclosed) exited practice on a cart Thursday, Aug. 6.
Link to storyCleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson 'had his best day to date' at training camp on Wednesday, Aug. 5, according to Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com.
Footballguys view: The bar for "best day of camp yet" is very low for Watson, who had thrown six interceptions before this session. Shedeur Sanders has outplayed Watson, and there's buzz building that last year's third round pick Dillon Gabriel also deserves more snaps with the ones - and maybe should be included in the battle to start Week 1. It feels unlikely that Watson will make up enough ground to start.

Updating a previous report, Cleveland Browns WR KC Concepcion (shoulder) is expected to be fine after suffering a shoulder injury during practice Monday, Aug. 3.
Link to storyCleveland Browns WR KC Concepcion (shoulder) suffered an apparent shoulder injury during practice Monday, Aug. 3.
Footballguys view: The team is expecting him to be fine and he did not suffer a serious injury per NFL insider Jordan Schultz. Concepcion brings quickness and speed that the offense sorely needs in the passing game, so he could secure a big role quickly if he can stay healthy after the Browns took him in the first round of the draft in April.
Cleveland Browns LB Carson Schwesinger (undisclosed) is not participating in practice Monday, Aug. 3, because of a minor undisclosed injury.
Link to storyFree-agent DT Travis Bell (Vikings) signed with the Cleveland Browns Monday, Aug. 3, on an undisclosed deal. RB T.J. Harden was waived.
Link to storyCleveland Browns LB Carson Schwesinger, OT Teven Jenkins (undisclosed), TE Joe Royer (personal), DT Kalia Davis (undisclosed) and WR Jamari Thrash (undisclosed) did not practice Saturday, Aug. 1.

Link to storyCleveland Browns CB Myles Harden (undisclosed) exited practice with a trainer Friday, July 31.
Link to storyCleveland Browns RB Quinshon Judkins could play 'all three downs' in 2026, according to running back coach Duce Staley.
Footballguys view: Staley has been challenging Judkins to get to a new level this year, and it sounds like Judkins is responding. When the Browns traded Myles Garrett, the chances of Judkins getting some positive game scripts for the running game went down, but if he is on the field in passing situations, he could still be a hit at a modest price of a pick around #50.
Cleveland Browns TE Harold Fannin Jr. (personal reasons) was not present at practice on Friday, July 31.

Link to storyCleveland Browns DT Kalia Davis (undisclosed) and CB Damarri Mathis (undisclosed) left practice early Wednesday, July 29, because of apparent injuries.
Link to storyBrowns TE Harold Fannin Jr. says he'll be "full-go" for training camp after missing the offseason program due to groin surgery.
Footballguys view: Adding to that, Akron Beacon Journal staffer Chris Easterling told us last week that team officials weren't at all concerned about Fannin's health. Now we have more confirmation of that. Fannin, who suffered the injury in Week 17 last season, said he was cleared about two weeks ago. He reported to camp last week with rookies and QBs and has been practicing. Fannin is currently being drafted as TE6, and we expect him to play a major role in Todd Monken's offense.
Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson and QB Shedeur Sanders will share snaps with the first-team offense during training camp, according to head coach Todd Monken.
Footballguys view: This is no surprise. Watson has been viewed as the frontrunner for the starting job most of the offseason, but Sanders was closing the gap as OTAs wound down. This now sounds like a real competition. It's worth noting that Watson and Sanders continued working with teammates this month, with the team's top receivers, Jerry Jeudy, Isaiah Bond, Cedric Tillman, KC Concepcion, and Denzel Boston, among the attendees at the workouts in Miami. This one bears watching.

Cleveland Browns S Grant Delpit signed a three-year extension worth $48 million, with $35 million guaranteed, on Wednesday, July 29.
Footballguys view: A second-round pick in 2020, Delpit missed his rookie season due to a torn Achilles suffered at practice in late August. He has since appeared in 78 games with 68 starts for Cleveland, delivering seven career interceptions with 21 passes defensed. He's also registered 6.5 sacks, 25 tackles for loss, and 17 quarterback hits.
