Link to storyChicago Bears S Xavier Woods (groin) suffered a groin injury during Chicago's preseason game on Saturday, Aug. 15, and didn't finish the game, according to Bears HC Ben Johnson.
| Footballguys view: That brings the count of injured Bears safeties to four, and their nickel back hasn't practiced yet this summer and no one knows when he will return to action. The Panthers get to face this secondary in Week 1. The Bears defense is going to have trouble stopping the run at a minimum, and might get the team into a lot of shootouts, but also get stuck on the field by long opposing drives more than Ben Johnson would like. |
