| Footballguys view: Diggs was claimed off waivers in late December after the Cowboys released him. But he did not make an impact for the club. While Diggs played 33 defensive snaps in the regular-season finale against Minnesota -- during which the Packers rested their starters -- he was on the field for just one snap in the postseason loss to Chicago. Though he led the league with 11 interceptions in 2021, Diggs has played just 22 games since the 2022 season. We'll be watching to see what the future might hold. |

Los Angeles Rams QB Matthew Stafford completed 20 of his 42 passes for 258 yards in a 20-17 overtime win over the Chicago Bears in the Divisional Round. RB Kyren Williams rushed for a team-high 87 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries and added four grabs four 30 yards. RB Blake Corum was held in check, finishing with six carries for 19 yards. WR Puka Nacua and TE Colby Parkinson tied for the team lead with 56 receiving yards. Parkinson caught three passes, and Nacua had five receptions to go along with two carries for six yards. Davante Adams was limited to two catches for 24 yards, and TE Tyler Higbee had just one catch for 27 yards. WR Jordan Whittington finished with two receptions for 35 yards. S Kamren Curl turned in a standout performance, logging a team-high 13 tackles, including seven solo stops, and an interception. LB Nathan Landman finished with 10 tackles, including five solo stops, and CB Cobie Durant had two tackles, three passes defensed and a pair of interceptions.
| Footballguys view: The Rams' offense -- a unit that led the league in offensive DVOA during the regular season -- struggled for much of their 20-17 divisional-round win against the Chicago Bears. Through three quarters, the Rams had 174 yards, their fewest of the season, according to ESPN Research. But the Rams' defense stepped up when they needed to most, with safety Kam Curl intercepting a Caleb Williams pass in overtime to give Los Angeles the ball back at their 22-yard line. While not a pretty game for the Rams, it was enough to send them to the NFC Championship Game for the first time since they won Super Bowl LVI during the 2021 season. Chicago Bears QB Caleb Williams completed 23 of his 42 passes for 257 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions in a 20-17 overtime loss to the Los Angeles Rams in the Divisional Round. He added 40 rushing yards on five carries. RB D'Andre Swift rushed 19 times for 76 yards, and RB Kyle Monangai chipped in 36 rushing yards on 13 carries and caught four passes for 36 yards. TE Colston Loveland caught four passes for a team-high 56 yards, and WR DJ Moore had 52 receiving yards and a touchdown on a team-high five catches. WR Rome Odunze gained 44 receiving yards on two receptions, WR Luther Burden III added three catches for 24 yards, and TE Cole Kmet finished with three grabs for 31 yards and a game-tying touchdown that forced overtime. S Jaquan Brisker led the way on defense with a team-high 14 tackles, including eight solo stops, a sack and two passes defensed. CB Kyler Gordon, DE Montez Sweat and DE Dominique Robinson all recorded a sack in the loss.
| Footballguys view: As ESPN.com's Courtney Cronin wrote, "They were the Cardiac Bears until the very end." After facing a seven-point deficit late in the game, Williams squeezed one more drop of fourth-quarter magic when he found Kmet in the corner of the north end zone at Soldier Field for a 14-yard touchdown to force the extra period. The Bears failed to score after their sole possession of overtime ended with Williams throwing an interception, his third of the game. Nonetheless, Ben Johnson's first year with the Bears was a resounding success despite Chicago falling short of reaching the title game as the NFC's No. 2 seed. The Bears finished with 11 wins in the regular season and their first playoff win in 15 years when they beat the Packers in the wild-card round. |

Rookie RB TreVeyon Henderson had 12 runs for 25 yards, while adding a catch for minus-2 yards on two targets. WR Kayshon Boutte hauled in three receptions for a game-high 75 yards and a TD on five targets, with WR Stefon Diggs posted four receptions, 40 yards and a TD on a team-best six targets. WR DeMario Douglas also had two catches for 36 yards and a score, with TE Austin Hooper posting a 14-yard grab on two targets, TE Hunter Henry posting a 5-yard catch on two targets and CB Christian Gonzalez leading the team with nine total stops and six solo tackles with a pass defensed. | Footballguys view: Like the other teams remaining in these playoffs, the Patriots have their own flaws but have overcome them in resounding fashion through two playoff games by turning up the intensity defensively and riding the wave of excitement at home. They're now one game from returning to the Super Bowl -- Sunday's AFC Championship Game at the Bo Nix-less Denver Broncos -- a reality that would have been inconceivable just one year ago. |

San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy completed 15 of his 27 passes for 140 yards and an interception and rushed five times for 37 yards and lost a fumble in a 41-6 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in the Divisional Round. RB Christian McCaffrey (stinger) dealt with a stinger but managed 11 carries for 35 yards and caught five passes for 39 yards, and RB Jordan James added six carries for 28 yards and caught a seven-yard pass. TE Jake Tonges (foot) caught five passes for a team-high 59 yards before exiting with a foot injury, and WR Jauan Jennings had two grabs for 23 yards. WR Ricky Pearsall and WR Kendrick Bourne were both targeted twice, but neither caught a pass, and WR Demarcus Robinson gained a yard on his only catch. LB Dee Winters tied for the team lead with nine tackles, including three tackles for loss, and LB Eric Kendricks also had nine stops. S Malik Mustapha chipped in eight tackles and a sack.
| Footballguys view: The 49ers offense came in shorthanded due to injuries and then lost Jake Tonges during the game and also didn't have Christian McCaffrey for part of the game. It was just too much for them to overcome against a great and balanced team like Seattle. The 49ers overachieved when you consider what they lost to injury, but the team needs to figure out what they seem to have such bad injury luck. |

He also rushed 12 times for a team-high 29 yards. RB RJ Harvey finished with 20 rushing yards on six carries and caught five passes for 46 yards, and RB Jaleel McLaughlin gained 21 yards on four carries. WR Marvin Mims caught a touchdown while leading the team with both eight receptions and 93 receiving yards. WR Courtland Sutton finished with 53 yards on four receptions, and WR Lil'Jordan Humphrey caught two passes for 33 yards and a score. WR Pat Bryant (concussion) had three receptions for 32 yards before exiting the game, and TE Evan Engram caught one pass for seven yards. OT Frank Crum chipped in a seven-yard touchdown catch. On the defensive side of the ball, LB Alex Singleton led the way with a team-high 14 tackles, including 11 solo stops. S Talanoa Hufanga had 10 tackles, including seven solo stops, and forced a fumble. S P.J. | Footballguys view: Nix made big throws in the first half and then late in the fourth quarter, but Josh Allen was able to overcome three turnovers in regulation to send the game to overtime. Nix led the team to a game-winning field goal after Allen's fourth turnover in overtime, but broke his ankle on the next to last play of the drive and will not be able to play in the AFC Championship game. Jarrett Stidham will start in the biggest game of his life as the Broncos will look to shock the football world by winning with their unheralded backup quarterback. |

TE Dalton Kincaid caught six passes for a team-high 83 yards and a score, and WR Khalil Shakir finished with 75 receiving yards on a team-high seven receptions. WR Keon Coleman caught a 10-yard touchdown, and WR Mecole Hardan hauled in a four-yard score. TE Dawson Knox added three receptions for 32 yards, and WR Brandin Cooks caught two passes for 20 yards. S Cole Bishop recorded a team-high 12 tackles, including seven solo stops and two tackles for loss, and CB Cam Lewis finished with 10 tackles and two passes defensed.
| Footballguys view: A team can't expect to turn the ball over five times and win on the road in the playoffs, and yet the Bills had multiple to chance to do just that despite being down 23-10 in the second half. This one will haunt Josh Allen the most, as he hadn't committed a turnover in a long time in the postseason coming into this game. The Bills will go into another offseason wondering how to keep this from happening again. |
