| Footballguys view: Stribling left Thursday's preseason game against the Chargers with this shoulder issue. Just this week, The Athletic's Matt Barrows suggested Stribling is "going to have a major role" in Week 1 against the Rams. If healthy, Stribling could perform like a flex play or WR3 with upside. Let's see if the rookie can get healthy and get back out there to practice soon. |

Link to storyChicago Bears S Xavier Woods (groin) suffered a groin injury during Chicago's preseason game on Saturday, Aug. 15, and didn't finish the game, according to Bears HC Ben Johnson.
| Footballguys view: That brings the count of injured Bears safeties to four, and their nickel back hasn't practiced yet this summer and no one knows when he will return to action. The Panthers get to face this secondary in Week 1. The Bears defense is going to have trouble stopping the run at a minimum, and might get the team into a lot of shootouts, but also get stuck on the field by long opposing drives more than Ben Johnson would like. |
