Free-agent RB Ty'Son Williams (Ravens) signed a one-year deal with the Indianapolis Colts, the team announced Tuesday, May 24. Financial terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed.
Footballguys view: The Colts have been looking for running back talent behind Jonathan Taylor. They signed Phillip Lindsay last week, and now they decide to pick up Williams. He flashed a bit last year with the Ravens and could produce if given a larger role due to injuries in the backfield - if he gets better at pass protection. |

Baltimore Ravens exclusive rights free-agent RB Ty'Son Williams had his tender offer withdrawn Tuesday, May 10, allowing him to become a free agent.
Footballguys view: With the addition of Mike Davis, the Ravens could move on from Williams. He's got enough skill to land with a new team but only in a reserve end-of-the-bench role. |

The Baltimore Ravens have declared OT Ronnie Stanley, SS DeShon Elliott, S Ar'Darius Washington and RB Ty'Son Williams inactive for Week 4.
Footballguys view: Williams is inactive after Le'Veon Bell was activated from the practice squad. He has looked like the freshest back on the roster, but the Ravens prefer experience after their backfield lost the top three backs before the season started. |

Baltimore Ravens RB Ty'Son Williams ran five times for 22 yards in Week 3, at the Detroit Lions, on Sunday, Sept. 26. He failed to catch his only target.
Footballguys view: The Ravens curiously abandoned the run in this game and it almost cost them the win. Williams looked better on his late runs, but the backfield falling flat in this great matchup will make it tough to trust any Ravens back going forward. |

Baltimore Ravens RB Ty'Son Williams' usage decreased in the second half of the team's Week 1 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders was due mainly to the team wanting to get other running backs more involved, offensive coordinator Greg Roman said Thursday, Sept. 16. Roman added that the days of one back playing a full game are over.
Footballguys view: The running back usage is going to be something to monitor going forward. Williams is the lead guy for now, but Latavius Murray and Le'Veon Bell and Devonta Freeman could get worked into the mix. Murray was the player who got more work in Week 1 when Williams was out. |
