New York Jets QB Justin Fields (concussion) is in the concussion protocol and out of practice Monday, Sept. 15. He will have to practice in order to play in Week 3, head coach Aaron Glenn said. QB Tyrod Taylor is being prepared to start this week in case he is needed.
| Footballguys view: Coach Aaron Glenn said Fields will continue to be evaluated. As previously noted, if Fields is unable to play Sunday at Tampa Bay, veteran backup Tyrod Taylor would start for New York. The Jets' next practice is Wednesday, and Glenn acknowledged Fields would need to be cleared from the concussion protocol and get in some time on the field if he's going to play against the Buccaneers. |
