Texans | Jordan Taylor's workout postponed    Fri Mar 13, 06:02 PM

Free-agent WR Jordan Taylor (Vikings) was scheduled to work out for the Houston Texans, but the workout has been postponed, according to sources.

Footballguys view: The coronavirus pandemic is shutting down a lot of private workouts. Taylor is big and fast but he's been banged up quite a bit as a reserve player bouncing around the league.

Vikings | Two Vikings released    Tue Aug 27, 09:39 AM

Minnesota Vikings CB Bene Benwikere and WR Jordan Taylor were released Tuesday, Aug. 27.

Footballguys view: The Vikings give Taylor a bit of a head start here. He was competing for a spot at the end of the bench at the wide receiver position. Taylor is big and fast but runs a limited route tree. Perhaps he'll wind up back with the Broncos, the team that originally picked him up as an undrafted free agent out of Rice in 2015.

Vikings | Laquon Treadwell could be done in Minnesota    Sat Jul 6, 02:33 AM

Minnesota Vikings WR Laquon Treadwell is in danger of not making the 53-man roster, in the opinion of ESPN's Courtney Cronin. Treadwell, who had his fifth-year option declined, will be a free agent after the season and could be let go in favor of newer options such as WRs Jordan Taylor and Chad Beebe, who have earned praise throughout the offseason.

Footballguys view: It would be a costly move for the Vikings as Treadwell has a cap hit of $3.1 million in 2019 with most of it ($2.5 million) in dead money. A first-round pick in the 2016 NFL draft, Treadwell has only one touchdown catch as a pro. The natural talent (size, speed) is there but he's never put it all together. Treadwell is coming off career-best numbers in 2018 of 35 catches for 302 yards and a touchdown. He needs to have a good preseason to make the team.

Vikings | Jordan Taylor could be third receiver    Sat Jun 1, 02:29 AM

Minnesota Vikings WR Jordan Taylor is the 'one to watch' for the team's third receiver spot, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune's Andrew Krammer, who notes Taylor's familiarity with assistant head coach Gary Kubiak, who is helping offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski overhaul the offense.

Footballguys view: Taylor has always been an interesting deep dynasty prospect because of his size/speed combination. He didn't do much with the Broncos but he was buried on the depth chart. He's taking advantage of his opportunity with the Vikings, even getting some first-team reps in OTAs. It's a story to monitor as training camp approaches.

Vikings | Jordan Taylor getting first-team reps    Thu May 23, 02:52 AM

Minnesota Vikings WR Jordan Taylor has been working with the first team in OTAs ahead of WR Laquon Treadwell. Taylor is occupying the place of WR Stefon Diggs, who is not participating.

Footballguys view: Taylor has flashed a little bit when he was with the Broncos, but he was also hurt quite a bit. We appreciate him in super deep dynasty formats because of his size/speed combination. Taylor is getting a fresh start with the Vikings this year and must be impressing if he's getting first-team work.

Vikings | Minnesota adding Jordan Taylor    Sat Apr 13, 04:17 PM

Free-agent WR Jordan Taylor (Broncos) agreed to terms on a one-year contract with the Minnesota Vikings Saturday, April 13, according to a source. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Footballguys view: Taylor follows Gary Kubiak to the Vikings. He's been developing with the Broncos on the practice squad and has fought through various injuries. Taylor has a good size/speed combination but even his stock in deep dynasty formats is low.

Seahawks | Jordan Taylor pushes back Seattle visit     Thu Apr 11, 01:49 PM

Free-agent WR Jordan Taylor (Broncos) will visit the Seattle Seahawks on Friday, April 12, after pushing the stop back from Wednesday, April 10.

Footballguys view: Taylor has good size and speed but he's battled through injuries during his time with the Broncos. We'll see if he can impress the Seahawks enough to earn a chance to make the 53-man roster. Anywhere he lands, Taylor will be far from a lock to make the team.

NFL | Jordan Taylor to visit Minnesota, Seattle    Sun Apr 7, 01:04 PM

Free-agent WR Jordan Taylor (Broncos) has visits planned with the Minnesota Vikings on Monday, April 8 and Seattle Seahawks on Wednesday, April 10, according to a league source.

Footballguys view: Taylor is big and fast....and he struggles to stay healthy. He's been with the Broncos for a few years but has missed a lot of time due to injury or been stashed as a developmental player on the practice squad.

Broncos | Jordan Taylor unable to practice    Sat Nov 3, 01:10 PM

Denver Broncos WR Jordan Taylor (hips) was not able to practice Friday, Nov. 2, because his surgically repaired hips were sore. The team must decide by Monday, Nov. 5, if they will activate Taylor from the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list.

Footballguys view: It doesn't seem like the Broncos are going to activate Taylor this year. He's set to be a restricted free agent in 2019.

Broncos | Jordan Taylor likely out for year    Fri Nov 2, 11:11 PM

Denver Broncos WR Jordan Taylor (hips) is 'highly unlikely' to be activated next week and will have to sit out the remainder of the season, according to Troy Renck of Denver7.

Footballguys view: We think the Broncos shut down Taylor for the rest of the year on Monday. He's set to be a restricted free agent in 2019.

Broncos | Jordan Taylor may practice next week    Wed Oct 10, 08:12 PM

Denver Broncos WR Jordan Taylor (hips) will be eligible to participate in practice next week.

Footballguys view: Taylor likely will be limited to individual drills once he returns to practice. He's a tall, speedy receiver who has been sticking around at the end of the Broncos roster for a few years. He'll face an uphill battle for snaps if he actually finds his way to the active roster.

The team also released DT Clinton McDonald, OT Cyrus Kouandjio and SS Shamarko Thomas and waived/injured OT Andreas Knappe (undisclosed) and S Jordan Moore (undisclosed). TE Troy Fumagalli (undisclosed) and LB Jerrol Garcia-Williams (knee) were placed on the Reserve/Injured list, while WR Jordan Taylor (hip) was placed on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list.

Broncos | Jordan Taylor not close    Sat Aug 4, 05:30 PM

Denver Broncos WR Jordan Taylor (hips) has made some progress in his recovery but is not close to returning to the field, according to head coach Vance Joseph.

Footballguys view: It's going to be difficult for Taylor to make the Broncos 53-man roster this year. Even if he was at full strength, Taylor is crammed into an incredibly talented WR corps in Denver. The Broncos have Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders plus impressive rookies Courtland Sutton and DaeSean Hamilton. They'll keep five or six WRs at best, and Taylor is unlikely to be one of those guys.

Broncos | Jordan Taylor several weeks away    Fri Jul 20, 06:49 PM

Denver Broncos WR Jordan Taylor (hip) is expected to remain sidelined until next month because of his hip surgeries.

Footballguys view: Taylor is going to find it difficult to make the team if he's sidelined for training camp and most of the preseason. He's been a reserve fan favorite in training camp for years, but Taylor has not done enough to earn much playing time. The Broncos added two more receivers (Courtland Sutton, DaeSean Hamilton) in the 2018 NFL draft, further cramping the depth chart at the WR position.

Broncos | Jordan Taylor likely to go on PUP list    Thu Jun 14, 02:20 PM

Denver Broncos WR Jordan Taylor (hip) is expected to begin training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list, according to head coach Vance Joseph.

Footballguys view: Taylor was well behind Emmanuel Sanders, Demaryius Thomas and second rounder Courtland Sutton, and fighting for a roster spot Isaiah McKenzie, Jordan Leslie and others. This setback will make it much harder to stick.

Broncos | Several Broncos not at OTAs    Tue May 22, 02:08 PM

Denver Broncos TE Troy Fumagalli (undisclosed), OT Jared Veldheer (ankle), OG Ronald Leary (undisclosed), WR Jordan Taylor (hip) and DT Clinton McDonald (shoulder) are not participating in organized team activities Tuesday, May 22.

Footballguys view: Fumagalli had a sports hernia surgery after the Senior Bowl earlier this year. Broncos head coach Vance Joseph didn't seem too concerned about the rookie tight end missing voluntary work. "He's not really cleared to play yet, so we're being smart there." Joseph said.

Broncos | Jordan Taylor to miss OTAs    Fri May 18, 08:43 PM

Denver Broncos WR Jordan Taylor (hip) will not participate in the organized team activities next week because he is still recovering from hip surgeries.

Footballguys view: Taylor is on the roster bubble for the Broncos after they added another duo of WRs in the draft (the second year in a row they've drafted two WRs in the same class). Courtland Sutton (SMU) should be the heir apparent to Demaryius Thomas while DaeSean Hamilton (Penn State) could work as the slot WR in 2018 and eventually replace Emmanuel Sanders (2019?). Add in last year's duo in the draft (Carlos Henderson, Isaiah McKenzie) and you see how things are cramped at the WR spot in Denver.

Broncos | Denver signs five free agents    Mon Apr 16, 06:50 PM

Denver Broncos exclusive-rights free agents LB Zaire Anderson, DE Shelby Harris, LB Joseph Jones, WR Jordan Taylor and OT Elijah Wilkinson were signed Monday, April 16.

Footballguys view: We're still monitoring Taylor in super deep dynasty leagues. The Broncos have seen plenty of turnover this offseason at the WR position, losing guys like Cody Latimer (Giants) and Bennie Fowler (Bears) in free agency. Taylor is recovering from offseason hip surgery but has always had good speed and concentration. We'll see if he can get more playing time in 2018.

Broncos | Jordan Taylor still healing    Fri Mar 30, 09:52 PM

Denver Broncos WR Jordan Taylor (hip) is expected to miss most of the offseason programs while recovering from hip surgery.

Footballguys view: Taylor is fast and can make circus catches seem easy, but he's never really produced much while buried on the depth chart. When healthy (maybe training camp?), Taylor will have to compete for his job...something he's used to as Taylor has done that every year since coming out of Rice undrafted in 2015.

Denver Broncos exclusive free-agent WR Jordan Taylor, LB Zaire Anderson, LS Casey Kreiter, OT Elijah Wilkinson, LB Jerrol Garcia-Williams and LB Joseph Jones have received tender offers.

Footballguys view: Taylor is the dynasty prospect to watch here. He's a long-shot to contribute, but Taylor has good size and speed. With the Broncos in need of a no3 WR, Taylor could get a shot.

Broncos | Jordan Taylor need surgery on both hips    Wed Jan 3, 01:10 PM

Denver Broncos WR Jordan Taylor (hip) is expected to undergo surgery on both hips 'soon,' according to league sources.

Footballguys view: It's amazing that Taylor was able to perform with this hip problem. We're monitoring him in deep dynasty leagues. Taylor has plenty of speed and can make acrobatic catches seem routine.

Broncos | Jordan Taylor to return punts    Fri Nov 17, 09:38 PM

Denver Broncos WR Jordan Taylor will return punts against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 11.

Footballguys view: Taylor is fast in a straight line, but he's not exactly an ankle-breaker in the open field. The Broncos just want someone to catch the ball since former punt returner Isaiah McKenzie fumbled five times in that role this season.

Denver Broncos WR Jordan Taylor made several solid catches during practice Friday, July 28, according to Andrew Mason of DenverBroncos.com.

Broncos | Several WRs get their chance to shine    Wed Jun 8, 11:27 PM

Denver Broncos WRs Bennie Fowler, Cody Latimer, Jordan Norwood and Jordan Taylor each had their chance to make an impression Wednesday, June 8, as they bid to become the third wide receiver behind veteran WRs Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas. Sanders and Thomas were rested, opening up first-team reps.

Footballguys view: We've loved Latimer on paper for two years but he just hasn't shown enough to make us feel good about him, despite having a solid outing. Mason reported that Taylor looked pretty good, but it sounds as if we have no real clear indication of what will shake out here. There's also a real chance that the No.3 receiver might not be a productive receiver in this offense anyway. Watch this, but don't expect much value from this battle.

Broncos | QB Siemian, Jordan Taylor have rapport    Tue Jun 7, 11:15 PM

Denver Broncos QB Trevor Siemian and WR Jordan Taylor built rapport working the scout team for most of the 2015 season, and the two worked together nicely during seven-on-seven drills in practice Tuesday, June 7. 'That's my guy,' Siemian said. 'I just got a ton of reps with him - even last year in camp, I got a ton of throws with him.'

Footballguys view: Siemian has a big arm, but he does not have much control when he throws. Taylor is a tall/fast receiver the Broncos picked up out of Rice as a UDFA in 2015. He spent his rookie season on the practice squad, but Taylor has a real shot to make the 53-man roster this year.

Denver Broncos WR Jordan Taylor signed a Reserve/Futures deal Wednesday, Feb. 10.

Broncos | Jordan Taylor has good hands    Mon Jul 20, 10:16 PM

Denver Broncos WR Jordan Taylor (undisclosed) dealt with an undisclosed injury during organized team activities (OTAs) and minicamp. However, he caught multiple deep passes during offseason practices. 'He catches everything around him and he's gone up and made a couple plays on some deep balls, which have stood out,' QB Peyton Manning said during minicamp.

Footballguys view: Taylor is an interesting player to monitor in super deep dynasty leagues. He's tall (6'5") and can win above the rim. During his college career at Rice, Taylor showed the ability to track deep passes over his shoulder. Taylor is a deep target with big-play ability. He could stick around in Denver on the practice squad to further develop his skill set.
