Free-agent QB Ryan Tannehill (Titans) received interest from several NFL teams during the offseason, according to multiple sources. However, he would only be interested in returning to the league to play for a playoff contender with the need for a quarterback, a strong offensive line and multiple offensive weapons, if the money was right.

Tennessee Titans impending free-agent QB Ryan Tannehill may receive interest from the Pittsburgh Steelers if he tests the free-agent market, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Footballguys view: Tannehill could beat out Kenny Pickett if the Steelers add him. Pickett, a first-round pick just a couple of years ago, has not been that impressive in two pro seasons. Tannehill is not the player he used to be, but his valuable starting experience should earn him a chance to start somewhere else in 2024. |

Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill will start ahead of the injured Will Levis (foot) in Week 18 versus the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Footballguys view: This doesn't really change the outlook for anyone in the Titans offense. They should be motivated to play spoiler and have a hand in who is crowned AFC South champ in a year that they will finish in last place. |

Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill will start in Week 18 if QB Will Levis (foot) isn't able to play, head coach Mike Vrabel said on Tuesday, Jan. 2.
Footballguys view: Keep an eye on Levis for dynasty purposes. He's looked good in limited starting duty, but this foot injury has knocked him off track late in the 2023 season. Vrabel added that Levis' foot has improved since Sunday but his status remains up in the air. |

Tennessee Titans QB Will Levis' average throw depth is 10.3 yards, according to Sports Info Solutions. The mark is the highest for any quarterback with at least 50 drop-backs. Teammate Ryan Tannehill ranks second at 9.1.
Footballguys view: Levis will attack a defense down the field. He's fearless...and sometimes reckless as a passer...something that can delight and frustrate the coaching staff and fans. |

Tennessee Titans QB Will Levis was named as the starting quarterback for the remainder of the season by head coach Mike Vrabel on Tuesday, Nov. 7.
Footballguys view: This move should not be shocking considering Levis could be the team's franchise quarterback of the future. Ryan Tannehill will serve as his primary backup going forward. The Titans are at the bottom of the AFC South with a 3-5 record, and they're 0-2 in the division. They're not completely out of the playoff hunt, but making the postseason would be nearly impossible. It's better to give Levis the valuable experience he'll need if he is going to be their future starter. |

Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill (ankle) is out of practice Tuesday, Oct. 24.
Footballguys view: Titans QBs Malik Willis and Will Levis are expected to play in Week 8 if Tannehill (ankle) is out. We're not sure what that looks like, but if it goes the way of Tommy Maddox/Shawn Moore (who rotated series for the 1992 Broncos) then it will be awful. |

Tennessee Titans QBs Malik Willis and Will Levis are expected to play in Week 8 if QB Ryan Tannehill (ankle) is out.
Footballguys view: That's an interesting way to approach a contest, and one we rarely see in the NFL. Let's see if they decide to rotate per series or per play. From a fantasy perspective, this would be an avoid-all-options situation. We'd have to see one quarterback emerge before starting one of these Titans' quarterbacks - and only in start-2 QB leagues. |

Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill (ankle) has not been ruled out for Week 8's game against the Atlanta Falcons Sunday, Oct. 29, but it is unlikely that he will be able to play. He is currently in a cast for a high-ankle sprain that is similar to an injury he sustained last season but is not considered to be as significant.
Footballguys view: If you're in a superflex/2QB leagues, you'll need to monitor whether Malik Willis or Will Levis is being prepared to start for the Titans. Either way, don't expect a big passing performance from the Titans vs. Atlanta next week. |
Ryan Tannehill player page
Updating previous reports, Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill (ankle) is in a cast but will not require surgery on his high-ankle sprain. He has no timetable for his return.
Footballguys view: A high-ankle sprain can cost a player a month or so. We'll have to see how quickly Tannehill can recover from this injury. Until then, let's see if the Titans go with Malik Willis (who has fantasy value because of his rushing ability) or if they go with rookie Will Levis while Tannehill is out of action. |

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Tannehill will undergo an MRI on Monday to determine the severity of his ankle injury. |

Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill (ankle) sustained an apparent right ankle injury during the fourth quarter of Week 6's game versus the Baltimore Ravens. He was replaced by QB Malik Willis.
Footballguys view: Willis didn't look bad at first, but eventually was overwhelmed by the Ravens pass rush. The Titans have a bye next week, so they could use it to prepare second round pick Will Levis to start (assuming Tannehill can't go in two weeks) after Willis looked stumped behind a porous offensive line. |
