Raiders | Willie Snead signing with Vegas    Fri Mar 26, 02:17 PM

Free agent WR Willie Snead (Ravens) on Friday, March 26, will sign a one-year contract with the Las Vegas Raiders, according to his agent Drew Rosenhaus.

Footballguys view: Snead will have competition for slot snaps from Hunter Renfrow, and maybe Kenyan Drake. This fans out the Raiders target tree even further, but does give them one of the deepest wide receiver groups in the league.

Ravens | James Proche may be returner    Fri Aug 7, 06:10 PM

Baltimore Ravens WR James Proche is considered the leading candidate for the punt returner job this season. WR Willie Snead and Marquise Brown are also options for the job.

Footballguys view: Proche is a quality slot receiver with top notch hands, but he doesn't provide the speed third round pick Devin Duvernay brings to the table, so special teams is his best path to making the team.

Ravens | Devin Duvernay could start     Sat May 30, 11:54 PM

Baltimore Ravens WR Devin Duvernay is expected to compete with WR Willie Snead for playing time in three-receiver sets.

Footballguys view: We certainly appreciate the rookie's game and defenses will have to respect his speed. Duvernay is a slot receiver only, playing 741-of-761 snaps in 2019 from that position. He can be dangerous on screen passes, and Texas used him in that role often. Last season, Duvernay caught 42 screen passes while snaring 105 passes overall. He is dangerous after the catch with his elusiveness, strength and speed. We love him in dynasty formats.

Ravens | Baltimore's stats for the Divisional Round    Sat Jan 11, 11:36 PM

Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson threw for 365 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions Saturday, Jan. 11, vs. the Tennessee Titans in the AFC Divisional Round of the playoffs. He ran 20 times for 143 yards and lost a fumble. RB Mark Ingram (calf) ran six times for 22 yards. WR Marquise Brown caught seven of 11 targets for 126 yards. WR Willie Snead hauled in six of eight targets for 56 yards, while TE Hayden Hurst caught one touchdown on his four receptions for 53 yards. TE Mark Andrews managed four receptions for 39 yards on seven looks.

Footballguys view: Jackson put up a ton of yards on the ground and through the air. However, he turned the ball over too much to win and seemed to be too amped up from the start. The Ravens were the favorite to go to and win the Super Bowl. Now, they'll be sitting at home for the rest of the playoffs wondering what happened.

Baltimore Ravens WR Willie Snead had a 'strong showing' during practice Thursday, May 31, according to Garrett Downing of BaltimoreRavens.com.

Saints | Willie Snead deal won't be matched    Mon Apr 23, 10:48 AM

New Orleans Saints restricted free-agent WR Willie Snead's offer sheet with the Baltimore Ravens will not be matched by the Saints, a source said.

Footballguys view: That move was expected, especially after the Saints signed WR Cameron Meredith from the Bears. Snead will compete for snaps/targets behind new additions Michael Crabtree and John Brown. The Saints move forward with Michael Thomas, Ted Ginn and Meredith as their top trio of wideouts. Brandon Coleman will compete to be the team's No.4 wide receiver in 2018.

Saints | NO unlikely to match Willie Snead offer    Sat Apr 21, 02:55 PM

The New Orleans Saints do not plan on matching the offer restricted free-agent WR Willie Snead signed with the Baltimore Ravens.

Footballguys view: This was expected once the Saints were able to sign Bears RFA wide receiver Cameron Meredith earlier this month. Snead will go to the Ravens where they've got a new-look WR corps. He should compete for snaps/targets in a trio of receivers that include Michael Crabtree and John Brown.

Ravens | Willie Snead signs Ravens' offer sheet    Fri Apr 20, 10:44 AM

New Orleans Saints restricted free-agent WR Willie Snead will sign a two-year offer sheet worth up to $10.4 million with the Baltimore Ravens Friday, April 20.

Footballguys view: The Saints will now have five days to match the offer or risk losing him. Since he was tendered as an original round RFA, the Saints would receive no compensation if they don't match the Ravens offer. We think the Saints let him walk. After getting Cameron Meredith, the writing was on the wall for Snead's time in New Orleans.

Saints | Willie Snead reports    Mon Apr 16, 09:14 AM

New Orleans Saints restricted free-agent WR Willie Snead will report for workouts Monday, April 16, but he hasn't signed his tender yet.

Footballguys view: As a restricted free agent, Snead has until April 20th to sign his tender. The Saints just plucked RFA Cameron Meredith from the Bears last week, and that has clouded the future of Snead in New Orleans. They placed an original round tender on Snead, so the Saints can match any offer he gets but they would receive no compensation if the veteran receiver left in free agency.

Ravens | Willie Snead visiting Ravens    Wed Mar 21, 09:42 AM

New Orleans Saints restricted free-agent WR Willie Snead is visiting the Baltimore Ravens Wednesday, March 21.

Footballguys view: The Saints put a low tender ($1.9 million) on Snead, so they can match any offer but if he leaves they won't receive any draft compensation. The Ravens already added Michael Crabtree and John Brown in free agency this offseason. They are trying to put better weapons around QB Joe Flacco.
