The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have released CB Brandon Anderson, S Vince Anderson, RB Carlos Brown, G Marc Dile, T Xavier Fulton, DE George Johnson, TE Jeron Mastrud, LB Rico McCoy, DT Dre Moore, DT Carlton Powell, TE Ryan Purvis, C Donovan Raiola, CB Derrick Roberson, DE James Ruffin, FB Rendrick Taylor, CB Trae Williams, and QB Jevan Snead have been released, reports C Jonathan Compas (undisclosed) was waived/injured.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have re-signed QB Jevan Snead, the team announced Tuesday, Aug. 24. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Footballguys view: Snead was cut by the team earlier this month, but returns to Tampa as a camp arm while Josh Freeman is out with his thumb injury.

Footballguys view: Not a surprise here. Snead came out too early, but some had speculated that he would have lost his job to Nathan Stanley had he stayed in college.
