Detroit Lions WR Tim Patrick had six receptions, 43 yards, and a pair of touchdowns against the Green Bay Packers on Thursday, Dec. 5.
Footballguys view: Patrick came through as a what-the-heck flex in a week that had six teams off on byes. He'll be one of the top waiver wire pickups of Week 15 and should be a consideration as a flex next week even with all 32 teams in action. |

Detroit Lions WR Tim Patrick hauled in two catches for 48 yards in Week 13 versus the Chicago Bears.
Footballguys view: Kalif Raymond was placed on Injured Reserve this week, so Patrick was going to be in line to do more. He only got three targets in the game against the Bears, but Patrick's 48 yards were second-most on the team in Week 13. He's a 'what the heck' flex on a weekly basis. |

Reports on Monday indicated that the Broncos were looking to trade running back Samaje Perine and receiver Tim Patrick. Denver was unable to find a partner for either player and both were among the team's Tuesday cuts to bring the roster down to 53 players.
Footballguys view: Both players will likely draw interest as free agents, but fantasy managers looking for late-round dart tosses will need to look for other opportunities, barring quick signings in fortuitous situations. |

Denver Broncos WR Tim Patrick (Achilles) said he felt like himself during offseason workouts and believes he is back to running at full speed after missing the 2023 season because of an Achilles tendon injury.
Footballguys view: Patrick has outproduced expectations for his entire pro career, and now he's trying to stick as a starter after suffering a season-ending injury in camp for two straight years. If the Broncos are willing to trade Courtland Sutton before the season, that could be a sign in their confidence in Patrick's recovery. Free agent signing Josh Reynolds should also get a lot of snaps at outside receiver after the Broncos signed him to a two-year, $9 million deal in the offseason. |

Denver Broncos WR Tim Patrick (Achilles) is 'a great teammate' that head coach the team has 'an idea or vision for,' according to head coach Sean Payton earlier this week.'(He brings) those intangibles. I do know and obviously have seen healthy tape. Granted I wasn't here, but I kind of have an idea or vision for the player. Then all the other things that he brings relative to his competitiveness, his versatility. He's a great teammate. I think he's an important part of the locker room, so it's good to see him more and be smart with that,' Payton said.
Footballguys view: Patrick took a pay cut down the veteran minimum, so he's not a sure thing to make the team, but his experience should get him a spot on the roster. If Courtland Sutton is dealt before the season, Patrick could even start opposite free agent signing Josh Reynolds. The Broncos wide receiver group is a bit underwhelming with or without a resurgent Patrick, which will be part of the challenge for Sean Payton and rookie quarterback Bo Nix. |

Denver Broncos WR Tim Patrick was praised for his leadership by head coach Sean Payton. 'He's smart, he's tough, and I would say he's one of the leaders in that room,' Payton said.
Footballguys view: Reports have indicated Patrick may not be as fast as he used to be. After missing the last two seasons (ACL, Achilles'), we're certain Patrick is excited to get out there and earn a spot on the depth chart. The Broncos have an interesting group of talented young receivers, so Patrick's job is not safe. |

Denver Broncos WR Tim Patrick (Achilles) participated in the voluntary workout Thursday, May 23.
Footballguys view: Patrick had to be happy to be out there after missing the last two seasons due to injury. He did not show the same speed as before these injuries at Thursday's minicamp, and Patrick's spot on the roster is far from guaranteed. |

Denver Broncos WR Tim Patrick (Achilles) was placed on injured reserve on Wednesday, Aug. 2, after suffering a torn Achilles recently.
Footballguys view: Patrick's 2023 season is over before it began...just like his 2022 season he missed due to a training camp ACL injury. There's a good chance that Patrick has played his last down for the Broncos, but if he continues playing in 2024 there will be some team interested in a "prove it" deal for a player with Patrick's size/speed combination. |

Updating a previous report, Denver Broncos WR Tim Patrick (Achilles) has been diagnosed with a complete tear of his Achilles tendon after undergoing an MRI, according to a source. He will miss the entire 2023 season.

Denver Broncos WR Tim Patrick (leg) suffered a non-contact left leg injury during practice Monday, July 31. Patrick was in considerable pain and visibly frustrated before he was carted off the field.
Footballguys view: Reports indicate Patrick suffered an Achilles' injury. After missing last season with an ACL injury, Patrick is likely to miss the 2023 season. We'll get confirmation in the near future, but it seems like his season is done (again) before it even started. The Broncos have a ton of depth at the wide receiver position, so they'll look for guys like Marquez Callaway, rookie Marvin Mims, and Brandon Johnson to do more. |

Denver Broncos WR Tim Patrick was a full participant at mandatory minicamp as he looks to bounce back from a lost season in 2022 per Nick Kosmider of The Athletic.
Footballguys view: A training camp knee injury knocked Patrick out of action in 2022. Now healthy, Patrick looks swift on the practice field for the Broncos. Someone is going to play the Michael Thomas role for new Broncos' HC Sean Payton. That could be Patrick, although Payton sure does seem to love him some Jerry Jeudy. Oh yeah, Courtland Sutton is still there - and he's looking better than he has in years. For a run-heavy team (think 2021 Saints), the Broncos have a stockpile of fine wide receiver talent. |

Denver Broncos WR Tim Patrick (knee) told former WR Steve Smith on the 'Cut To It' podcast that he has been cleared to do everything after recovering from a torn anterior cruciate ligament. Patrick said he's working to rebuild his route-running mechanics because of the pressure certain routes put on his healing knee.

Denver Broncos WR Tim Patrick (knee) underwent surgery Thursday, Aug. 11, to repair his torn anterior cruciate ligament, according to a source.
Footballguys view: The Broncos are going to miss a player like Patrick. He is expected to be cleared during the early part of offseason workouts next year. Without Patrick, 2020 first-round pick Jerry Jeudy is the unquestioned no.2 receiver for the Broncos opposite of Courtland Sutton. |

Denver Broncos WR Tim Patrick (knee) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Wednesday, Aug. 3.
Footballguys view: Patrick is done for the season with this knee injury. The Broncos still have Courtland Sutton as their top receiver. Without Patrick, former first-round pick Jerry Jeudy will get more of an opportunity. Jeudy has struggled for two seasons for various reasons, but he's got a chance to prove the doubters wrong this year with Russell Wilson throwing him the ball. |

Denver Broncos WR Tim Patrick (leg) was taken off the practice field on a cart after suffering a right leg injury Tuesday, Aug. 2.
Footballguys view: The injury was non-contact and players crowded around him when he was being taken off. Neither is a good sign. The team should update his status soon. K.J. Hamler just came off the PUP list, and he would be first in line to get in on three-wide sets if Patrick is lost for a significant period. Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton would also get bumps in target expectations. |

Denver Broncos WR Tim Patrick is 'poised for a monster season' now that he has QB Russell Wilson in the mix and an offense that 'plays to his strengths,' writes Ian St. Clair of Mile High Report.
Footballguys view: Patrick is one of the most underrated receivers in the league. We won't say 'monster season' for Patrick, but he could push for 1,000 yards with Wilson throwing him the rock. Courtland Sutton looks like Wilson's favorite target and should post WR2 numbers in 2022. Jerry Jeudy and Patrick will compete for targets in the offense behind Sutton. |

Denver Broncos QB Drew Lock completed 12-of-24 throws for 162 yards without a touchdown Saturday, Jan. 8, vs. the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 18. He didn't turn over the ball and rushed for two scores on four carries for 35 yards. RB Melvin Gordon, who lost a scoop-and-score fumble, ran 12 times for 110 yards and a touchdown, chipping in a six-yard grab on his lone reception. RB Javonte Williams carried the ball 12 times for 46 yards and caught both of his targets for 16 yards. WR Tim Patrick led the team with six catches for 95 yards. WR Jerry Jeudy finished with two catches for 30 yards on five targets, and WR Courtland Sutton caught one of his three targets for 13 yards. Sutton also threw a 16-yard pass. TE Noah Fant was held to a 16-yard catch on his only reception (two targets). CB Michael Ojemudia paced the defense with 11 tackles (eight solo) and tallied two passes defensed.
Footballguys view: Gordon looked fresh and gave potential free agent suitors something to think about, while Patrick showed why he got an extension at a starter salary during the season. The Broncos will go into next season with a new coach, offensive coordinator, and maybe a new quarterback. |

The Denver Broncos are making signing WR Courtland Sutton to a contract extension a priority, even after signing WR Tim Patrick to a long-term deal a few days ago, according to a source. The team has plenty of salary cap space that can be moved now or in the offseason to accommodate such a deal.
Footballguys view: It's great that the Broncos want to invest so much in their wide receiver group, but until they have a quarterback they won't be able to harvest the value of the investment. |

Denver Broncos WR Tim Patrick agreed to a three-year, $30 million contract extension Friday, Nov. 19, according to sources.
Footballguys view: Patrick will be part of the Broncos in 2022, but who will be his quarterback, and will Courtland Sutton be his teammate. Patrick's value is up in dynasty leagues as he got starter money and has made himself into a stalwart in the offense after opening the season as the #4 receiver. |
