Green Bay Packers PK Brandon McManus (quadriceps) is not a candidate for the Reserve/Injured list, according to head coach Matt LaFleur.
| Footballguys view: McManus, who was added to the injury report as doubtful on Saturday, was ruled out of the Giants game on Sunday. The Packers went with backup Lucas Havrisik, who missed two extra-point tries on a windy day. Although McManus has not been 100%, LaFleur said, this isn't an injured-reserve situation. "I think it's one of those things you've got to take in stride and handle it on a day-to-day basis," LaFleur said. Of course, there are plenty of kickers available. Fantasy investors can easily avoid uncertainty by looking elsewhere. |

| Footballguys view: As Profootballtalk.com noted, the status of McManus became a somewhat bizarre point of contention this week. After coach Matt LaFleur called the injury a "major concern," McManus said he plans to play. Special-teams coordinator Rich Bisaccia echoed that sentiment. And McManus still could be ready to go. The Packers are nevertheless preparing for the possibility he won't by devoting a second roster spot to a kicker. Fantasy managers should watch pre-game inactives to confirm McManus' status and have a backup plan in case. |

Two women are suing kicker Brandon McManus and the Jacksonville Jaguars, alleging that McManus sexually assaulted them during the team's overseas flight to London last year, according to court documents obtained by ESPN. They're seeking in excess of $1 million and are demanding a jury trial.
| Footballguys view: McManus signed with the Jaguars last May after he was released by the Denver Broncos. Jacksonville gave him a one-year contract worth $2 million, and he made 30 of 37 field goal attempts and all 35 of his extra-point attempts last season. The team did not re-sign him this offseason; he signed a one-year, $3.6 million contract with the Commanders on March 14. The Commander issued the following statement: "Earlier today, we were made aware of the civil lawsuit filed on May 24 against Brandon McManus. We take allegations of this nature very seriously and are looking into the matter. We have been in communication with the League Office and Brandon's representation, and will reserve further comment at this time." Stay tuned. This incident could lead to league discipline. |
