Tennessee Titans impending free-agent QB Jake Locker could draw interest from the Philadelphia Eagles, according to an NFL agent.
| Footballguys view: Locker would make sense for the Chip Kelly offense. He's athletic enough to be a threat to run everytime he touches the ball. That is the key to running the inside/outside zone-read offense. Locker also has a strong arm, but his accuracy problems could be helped by the wide-open nature of this system. Often, QBs in this system are throwing to predetermined spots so decisions and throws are easier. The biggest problem with Locker? Staying healthy. In four seasons, he's never played more than 11 games in one year. |

"We're trying to get him better as we go, knowing with the way it's gone for us at quarterback this year that's something that could happen at any time," Whisenhunt said. Whisenhunt doesn't sound concerned about playing Mettenberger too soon, either.

Tennessee Titans QB Jake Locker (thumb) was limited in practice Friday, Oct. 17, and is listed as questionable for Week 7 against the Washington Redskins. Locker did very little during individual drills Friday, with QB Charlie Whitehurst taking the bulk of the repetitions. Locker has already missed two starts this year, and all signs are pointing to him missing another this weekend. Head coach Ken Whisenhunt said a decision won't be made on Locker until Sunday, Oct. 19.
