Commanders | Washington inks nine to futures deals Wed Jan 29, 11:21 AM
Free-agent RB Kazmeir Allen, DT Viliami Fehoko Jr., OG Julian Good-Jones, QB Sam Hartman, TE Tyree Jackson, DE Andre Jones Jr., WR Chris Moore, S Ben Nikkel and TE Cole Turner signed Reserve/Futures contracts with the Washington Commanders on Tuesday, Jan. 28.
Footballguys view: We'll stubbornly monitor Jackson in crazy deep dynasty formats. The converted quarterback has made the transition to tight end, and that's something that Washington was able to do successfully years ago with Logan Thomas. We doubt Jackson works out like Thomas did (who was great when healthy), but it's worth keeping an eye on. |

Free-agent TE Tyree Jackson (Eagles) is signing with the New York Giants' practice squad, per source on Wednesday, Aug. 30.
Footballguys view: Jackson is a big-bodied converted quarterback who we've been monitoring in crazy deep dynasty formats. The chances of him paying off are slim, but he's still getting a look from an NFL team so we'll still be paying attention...but only in crazy deep dynasty formats. |

Philadelphia Eagles TE Tyree Jackson is set to be waived, per source on Saturday, Aug. 26.
Footballguys view: A converted quarterback, we felt there might have been a Logan Thomas-like development to his game (as Thomas was also a college quarterback before converting into a quality tight end). That didn't happen with Jackson, and chances are getting slim that it ever happens. In crazy deep dynasty formats we'll continue to monitor his progress if he latches on with a new team (or if the Eagles bring him back). |

Philadelphia Eagles TE Tyree Jackson (knee) was activated off the reserve/physically unable to perform list on Wednesday, Nov. 16. In addition, DT Marlon Tuipulotu (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve, DE Janarius Robinson (ankle) was designated to return from injured reserve and S Marquise Blair was signed to the practice squad.
Footballguys view: Jackson is a huge converted quarterback who has been developing as a tight end for some time. We'll see if he can get back to practicing and get onto the field for the Eagles in the near future. With the loss of Dallas Goedert (shoulder) for a few weeks, having Jackson out there as an option would help. |

Philadelphia Eagles TE Tyree Jackson (knee) was designated to return from the reserve/physically unable to perform list on Wednesday, Oct. 26, opening his 21-day window to be activated.
Footballguys view: Jackson, a converted quarterback, is a player we appreciate but only in crazy deep dynasty formats. He's huge and athletic, making him a great developmental tight end who has some Logan Thomas (another converted college QB) to his game. |

Philadelphia Eagles TE Tyree Jackson (knee) and OL Brett Toth (knee) may not be ready for the start of training camp and will likely be placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list, according to Jimmy Kempksi of PhillyVoice.com.
Footballguys view: Jackson is a developmental tight end (and converted quarterback) we've been monitoring in deep dynasty formats. He filled in for Dallas Goedert last season in Week 18 and had three catches for 22 yards and a touchdown before tearing his ACL. He'll start camp on the PUP, but we'll see if he can be ready for the start of the regular season. Jackson should once again be the no.2 tight end for the Eagles behind Goedert. |

Philadelphia Eagles TE Tyree Jackson (back) was diagnosed with a fractured bone in his back Wednesday, Aug. 18, but will not require surgery.
Footballguys view: Jackson is a converted quarterback hoping to develop like Logan Thomas did years ago when he made a similar switch. He's a long shot for the 53-man roster but could perhaps land on the practice squad to further develop. He is expected to need eight to 10 weeks to recover. |

Free-agent QB Tyree Jackson (XFL) signed a Reserve/Future contract with the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday, Jan. 7. The expectation is that the Eagles will move him to tight end.
Footballguys view: Jackson was a huge quarterback with a big arm and some athleticism. He's not much of a passer and a move to tight end would be interesting. We'll monitor this situation but only in crazy deep dynasty formats. |

The Buffalo Bills are waiving QB Tyree Jackson Saturday, Aug. 31, according to a source.
Footballguys view: Jackson is huge, athletic and has a strong arm...but he is far from polished as a passer. He had an okay week at the Senior Bowl earlier this year (not as good as some say) and perhaps could stick as a developmental player on the Bills practice squad. The Bills have Josh Allen as the starter and Matt Barkley as the No. 2 quarterback. |

Buffalo Bills QB Matt Barkley is believed to be the frontrunner over QB Tyree Jackson for the primary backup job behind QB Josh Allen, according to beat writer Jay Skurski.
Footballguys view: Jackson has a skillset and top-end size/athleticism combination similar to Allen's even though he was an undrafted free agent. Some think he could have greatly improved his draft stock if he had gone back to school. He should be slowly developed as a #3, but projects as an ideal backup to Allen. |
