Packers | Luke Getsy officially hired Tue Jan 28, 12:39 AM
Former Las Vegas Raiders offensive coordinator Luke Getsy has been hired by the Green Bay Packers as a senior offensive assistant, according to sources.
Footballguys view: Getsy was the Packers quarterbacks coach before leaving to become the Bears offensive coordinator in 2022. He moved on to the Raiders in 2024 but was fired during the season and returned to the Packers as an analyst after his dismissal. |

Former Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Luke Getsy interviewed for the New England Patriots offensive coordinator job Tuesday, Jan. 31.
Footballguys view: Let's see what the Patriots do at quarterback, as Mac Jones and Bailey Zappe are not the answer. Getsy did not get the most from QB Justin Fields, so working with a bad quarterback or young quarterback (Jayden Daniels?) may not be as interesting as going to work with a seasoned veteran. The Saints (with QB Derek Carr) are interested in Getsy as well. |

Former Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Luke Getsy will interview for the New Orleans Saints offensive coordinator vacancy Wednesday, Jan. 31.
Footballguys view: Getsy failed with the Bears, but he's getting enough interest this offseason to land a job soon. The Saints are looking for someone to get the most out of QB Derek Carr, and Getsy could be that guy. |

Former Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Luke Getsy will interview for the Las Vegas Raiders offensive coordinator post.
Footballguys view: With Antonio PIerce as the head coach, he needs to find a coach to run the offense. That could be Getsy, and then we'd have to see who else he would work with. Did QB Aidan O'Connell do enough to be considered the starter in 2024? We are fixing to find out. |

Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Luke Getsy and Las Vegas Raiders defensive coordinator Patrick Graham were named head coaches of the Senior Bowl teams.
Footballguys view: This is the first time (in some time) the Senior Bowl won't have full pro staffs coaching the All-Star teams. Instead, that's what the Shrine Bowl is doing. The Senior Bowl is going to have coordinators run the team, and hopefully they run through very scout-friendly drills instead of a standard pro practice. |

Green Bay Packers quarterbacks coach/passing game coordinator Luke Getsy reportedly has an offer on the table to become the new offensive coordinator for the Chicago Bears, according to a source.
Footballguys view: The offensive coordinator hire may be as important as the head coach hire with Justin Fields starting back at square one after Matt Nagy was fired. He has experience as the wide receiver coach, quarterback coach, and passing game coordinator with Green Bay. |

Updating an earlier report, Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur is expected to promote either quarterbacks coach/passing game coordinator Luke Getsy or offensive line coach/running game coordinator Adam Stenavich to be the team's offensive coordinator after Nathaniel Hackett left to take the head coaching job for the Denver Broncos. LaFleur will likely attempt to keep both on his coaching staff, in the opinion of The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel's Tom Silverstein.
Footballguys view: The Packers will strive for continuity on the coaching staff, but the bigger question is the fate of Davante Adams, who is a free agent and could be franchised, and Aaron Rodgers, who was not content last offseason but some believe has patched things up with the organization enough to finish his career in Green Bay - that is if his career continues, as the possibility of retirement has been raised. |

Updating a previous report, Green Bay Packers quarterbacks coach/passing game coordinator Luke Getsy will interview for the Denver Broncos' head coaching vacancy Friday, Jan. 14.
Footballguys view: Getsy has worked only with the Packers in the NFL, but he was an offensive coordinator for two college teams (West Virginia Wesleyan, Mississippi State). He has a great relationship with QB Aaron Rodgers, and the Broncos could actually be looking at Getsy as an option at offensive coordinator if they hire Packers OC Nathaniel Hackett (who they're interviewing Saturday) as their head coach. |

Green Bay Packers quarterbacks coach/passing game coordinator Luke Getsy has been requested for an interview with the Denver Broncos for their head coaching vacancy.
Footballguys view: It's easy to draw a connection to Aaron Rodgers here. It might seem like the organization and Rodgers have kissed and made up, but these situations can change quickly. |
