Giants | Evan Engram lacked efficiency    Sat Jul 3, 10:55 PM

New York Giants TE Evan Engram's 5.9 yards per target in 2020 was fourth worst in the NFL.

Footballguys view: Engram has incredible talent, and that's why he was selected in the first round of the 2017 NFL draft, He's never played up to his potential in the pros due to injuries and inefficiency. Engram has been a low-end TE2 (TE19, TE18) over the last two seasons. We'll see if better play from QB Daniel Jones gets Engram back on track after a rookie season where he finished as the no.5 tight end in non-PPR leagues.

Giants | Evan Engram dominating at practice    Fri Jun 11, 09:41 PM

New York Giants TE Evan Engram has been 'catching everything thrown in his direction' and has been the 'best offensive player on the field' during OTAs, according to Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com.

Footballguys view: Engram is the type of player who can dominate at the position. He just has trouble staying healthy, and that's what can hold him back (again) in 2021. Engram should be a safety-valve target for QB Daniel Jones and can be a TE1 for Fantasy GMs...if he stays healthy. His current ADP is TE10 (8.11) in 12-team PPR leagues.

Giants | Evan Engram not long for New York?    Fri Feb 19, 12:36 AM

New York Giants TE Evan Engram led all tight ends with eight drops in 2020 and could benefit from a change of scenery in the opinion of ESPN.com's Jordan Raanan.

Footballguys view: That sounds about right. Engram has a ton of talent physically but he's battled with injuries and has too many drops. A change of scenery would do him some good.

Giants | NYG caps regular season with a victory    Sun Jan 3, 05:54 PM

New York Giants QB Daniel Jones completed 17-of-25 passes for 229 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in Week 17 against the Dallas Cowboys. RB Wayne Gallman rushed 11 times for 65 yards, while WR Sterling Shepard had eight receptions for a game-high 112 yards with a touchdown, and he ran twice for 24 yards and a score. WR Dante Pettis added two receptions for 43 yards and a touchdown, while WR Darius Slayton closed the regular season with two catches and 22 yards on four targets. TE Evan Engram was also targeted four times, ending up with two catches and 17 yards. LB Blake Martinez ended up with 11 total stops, a sack, a tackle for loss and a quarterback hit, and DE Leonard Williams had three sacks.

Footballguys view: Jones looked sharp and healthy in this one and the Giants offense did enough combined with a heroic performance by the defense. Now the Giants wait to see if Philadelphia can beat Washington and punch their ticket into the playoffs. The Giants would host the Buccaneers.

Footballguys view: Engram was expected to play a big role in the pass offense after Sterling Shepard and Saquon Barkley went down last week. He's on the borderline of startable fantasy tight ends even though he was often drafted in the top 5-6. Next week he'll face the Rams defense that gave up three scores to tight ends today.

Footballguys view: Engram has TE1 upside for Fantasy GMs so long as he stays healthy. On the road against the Bears this week, the Giants offense should look better than it did against the Steelers in Week 1. That makes Engram a low-end TE1 option in Week 2.

Giants | Evan Engram likes new offense    Sat Aug 15, 02:47 PM

New York Giants TE Evan Engram said recently he's impressed with the team's new offensive coaches and system. 'It's a good offense in my eyes,' Engram said. 'All the details we have to know and things like that is going to help us when we get them all down. I'm really excited about the opportunity to work with coach (Jason) Garrett and coach (Freddie) Kitchens and all the other coaches on the offensive side. We're putting in a lot of hard work right now and just have to continue to do that. Keep working for the good things to happen.'

Footballguys view: Engram can be a fantasy factor in 2020 if he can stay healthy. He's one of the most athletic move tight ends in the NFL but has struggled with injuries during his pro career. Engram has a current ADP of TE7 (7.04) in 12-team PPR leagues.

If he is able to play a full 16-game season, Engram has the talent to be a TE1 for Fantasy GMs. Engram has a current ADP of TE7 (7.04) in 12-team PPR leagues. If you draft him, make sure to have a good backup plan in case Engram gets banged up again.

New York Giants TE Evan Engram (foot) was shown running and cutting hard in a video posted to social media Monday, June 29.

Footballguys view: Engram only made it through eight games last year due to injury. His games played, yardage, receptions, yards-per-catch, and touchdowns were all career lows in 2019. The Giants picked up his fifth-year option for the 2021 season, so the team expects him to bounce back. He's got TE1 upside for Fantasy GMs as a favorite target of second-year QB Daniel Jones.

New York Giants TE Evan Engram (foot) is still wearing a walking boot following surgery in late December. He's expected to be sidelined until training camp.

Footballguys view: Kaden Smith will have a full offseason to be the #1 tight end in a good development for him. The Giants have to make a fifth-year option decision on Engram in May, and while his production justifies it, his injury history makes it a risk that his 2021 salary will be guaranteed due to him being sidelined at the end of the season again.
