Broncos | Five receptions for Evan Engram Sun Oct 12, 12:58 PM
Denver Broncos TE Evan Engram caught five passes for 42 yards against the New York Jets in Week 6. He was targeted six times during the game and also had one carry for seven yards in the running game.
Footballguys view: Engram was the only player in the Broncos offense that wasn't a fantasy bust today. He has been building momentum since returning from a back injury and will be a viable streamer next week against the Giants defense that just gave up a big game to Dallas Goedert on Thursday. |

Denver Broncos TE Evan Engram finished with four catches for 33 yards and a touchdown on six targets in Week 5 against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Footballguys view: Engram made a few key plays in the big comeback effort, including what turned into the go ahead touchdown after Sean Payton boldly went for two with the score 17-16 Philadelphia. Engram should be added on the waiver wire this week heading into a matchup against a Jets defense that just gave up two scores to Jake Ferguson. |

Denver Broncos TE Evan Engram (back) fully participated in practice Saturday, Sept. 27, and is not on the injury report for Week 4.
Footballguys view: Engram could actually come through against a Bengals defense that gave up two touchdowns to Minnesota tight ends last week and 100 yards to Browns tight ends in Week 1. He's worth an add if he was dropped out of frustration and you need tight end depth. |

Denver Broncos TE Evan Engram (back) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 26.
Footballguys view: Engram has only played in two games this year and hasn't cracked a 50% snap share in either. The limited role could have been a product of this injury. But with Sean Payton reaching deep into his personnel bag every week, you can't start Engram in this matchup. He's worth a stash in deep leagues, but don't be afraid to drop him after this week if he turns in another disappointing performance. |

Denver Broncos TE Evan Engram (back) did not participate in practice Friday, Sept. 19, and has been ruled out for Week 3.
Footballguys view: Injuries have already impacted Engram heavily this year, as he's been a part-time player through his first two games. It's yet to be known whether his limited role is injury-related or just how Sean Payton intends to use him. Either way, if you're tempted to drop Engram in shallow fantasy leagues, we won't judge you. |

TE Evan Engram (calf), DL John Franklin-Myers (knee), and LB Alex Singleton (thumb) practiced in full on Friday, Sept. 12, and no longer appear on the injury report.
Footballguys view: Engram left last week with a calf injury, but is good to go against the Colts. He's a high floor/low ceiling TE1 play this week, and more attractive in PPR leagues and .5 and nonPPR leagues. |

Broncos tight end Evan Engram was designated as questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans with a calf injury, the Fox broadcast announced in the fourth quarter. He did not return.
Footballguys view: Engram twice went into the team's blue medical tent before earning that questionable designation. He had three catches for 21 yards on four targets before exiting the game. Engram, who signed a two-year, $23 million contract with the Broncos this spring, missed eight games due to various injuries with the Jaguars last season. With Engram sidelined, the team's remaining top tight ends on the depth chart were Adam Trautman and Lucas Krull (Nate Adkins was out with an ankle injury). The Broncos play the Colts in Week 2. We'll have to wait and see if Engram is available. |

Denver Broncos QB Bo Nix said he has been talking a lot with TE Evan Engram this offseason and is excited to have him join the offense this season.
Footballguys view: We haven't even really seen the real Bo Nix, even though as a rookie he was outstanding down the stretch. Now, Nix gets more talent around him like a quality rushing attack, more receivers than just Courtland Sutton, and a real threat at tight end in Engram. While Engram may not produce like he used to, he's still an incredible upgrade who could catch around 69 passes for the Broncos in 2025. |

Denver Broncos TE Evan Engram is a 'curious fit' in head coach Sean Payton's offensive scheme, in the opinion of ESPN's Bill Barnwell, who believes Engram lacks the 'physicality' of TE Jeremy Shockey, as well as the 'verticality and ability to win in the red zone' of TE Jimmy Graham -- those were the two tight ends that Barnwell noted had success as the 'Joker' under Payton, a role that Engram was signed to fill during the offseason.
Footballguys view: Barnwell explained that Engram has always been more of a safety valve than a threat with the ball in his hands. Additionally, Barnwell points out that Engram's career-high 963 receiving yards in 2023 came on 143 targets, and he believes it would be a surprise if the volume was there for Engram to reach 140-plus targets again. For fantasy investors, the price -- he's being drafted as TE9 at the end of Round 8 -- isn't so high that we need peak Engram to return value. |

Denver Broncos TE Evan Engram has show 'real good instincts' during OTAs, according to head coach Sean Payton.
Footballguys view: Payton has been looking for his 'joker' on offense, and that's why the team went out and got Engram this offseason. Engram's season was cut short last year, but if healthy he's in line to catch 65-70 passes from Bo Nix. His touchdowns won't push him to the top of the tight end pack, but low-end TE1 production is there for Engram in 2025. |

Denver Broncos TE Evan Engram (shoulder) may see a limited workload during offseason workouts because he is recovering from a shoulder injury.
Footballguys view: The Broncos signed Engram to a two-year, $23 million deal to serve as a "Joker" -- an elite pass-catching TE or RB -- in Sean Payton's offense. A first-round pick of the Giants in 2017, Engram had 114 receptions for Jacksonville in 2023. He was on pace for 89 catches last year when he suffered a season-ending shoulder injury in Week 9. He'll be limited to save wear and tear on that shoulder, but there's no reason to believe he won't be ready for full duty come Week 1. |

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Evan Engram (shoulder) underwent surgery Monday, Dec. 16, to repair the torn labrum in his shoulder, according to head coach Doug Pederson.
Footballguys view: Engram signed a three-year, $41.25 MM contract with the team in July, and comes with a $13.5 million dead cap hit should the Jags cut him pre-June 1. A new staff may want to move on from the veteran tight end, or they may see the cap hit as something they don't want to deal with. |

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Evan Engram (shoulder) was placed on injured reserve on Saturday, Dec. 14.
Footballguys view: Engram will have surgery on a torn labrum and is out for the season. He signed a three-year extension with the team back in July, so he's most likely going to be their top tight end in 2025 when healthy. We'll see what kind of changes happen to the staff and the players around Engram this offseason. |

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Evan Engram (shoulder) will miss the rest of the season due to a torn labrum that will require surgery.
Footballguys view: The extent of Engram's injury was discovered when the team did additional scans this week. Previous head coach Doug Pederson said he thought Engram would play, so keep that in mind when we hear early week player availability declarations this late in the season. Brenton Strange joins the streaming tight end parade and Engram teams could be using his backup or someone else from the wire this week. |

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Evan Engram (shoulder) suffered an unspecified shoulder injury during the Week 14 game against the Tennessee Titans, head coach Doug Pederson revealed on Monday, Dec. 9.
Footballguys view: Engram caught 4-of-6 targets for 33 yards in the Jaguars' Week 14 win over the Titans. He missed time earlier this year, so we'll have to see what Engram does (or does not do) this week in practice. |
