Ben Johnson said "all options are on the table" regarding Rome Odunze's foot injury and whether the team will shut him down for a stretch of time to get him healthy, ready for a potential playoff run. Johnson: "There may be a case that we need to protect him from himself a little bit so he can help us down the road."
| Footballguys view: Odunze did not play in Sunday's game against the New York Giants after aggravating his injury minutes before kickoff. Aggravations are often worse than the initial issue, so we should assume that Odunze won't be available for at least the next two weeks, and he might not be able to return for the playoffs. Luther Burden III is also dealing with an ankle injury, so the Bears target tree is getting narrower, with DJ Moore the top healthy option. |

Chicago Bears WR Luther Burden III (ankle) is considered day-to-day because of the ankle injury he suffered during the Week 15 game, according to head coach Ben Johnson.
| Footballguys view: Despite leaving Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns early, Burden had six receptions for a team-best 84 yards on seven targets before departing. As Footballguys Sigmund Bloom suggested, even if this ankle injury keeps him from mattering in redraft leagues for the next two weeks, Burden's dynasty value is high. We'll continue to watch for more. |
