Carolina Panthers QB Bryce Young will remain the team's starting quarterback for the remainder of the season, according to head coach Dave Canales.
| Footballguys view: Young has started the last seven games as quarterback for the Panthers, and he'll end the year with 10 straight starts as long as he stays healthy. As Profootballtalk.com notes, Canales has resisted calling Young the starter for the rest of the season over that run, but the coach explained why last week's four-turnover performance against the Cowboys helped lead to the announcement. "I've been around football for 15 years and see where games like that can really pile up on a guy," Canales said. "To watch him handle it and to be composed and to talk with his teammates and keep working with the issues, I thought was so impressive and I wanted to make sure he knew that. That was great, and that's exactly what it looks like to play quarterback." Young is 177-of-296 for 1,791 yards, eight touchdowns, and nine interceptions this season. His short-term fantasy relevance is minimal, but the long-term outlook is of greater interest now. |

Legette also alluded to a wrist injury he's been dealing with following the Week 14 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. He told reporters this past Thursday that he's likely to undergo offseason surgery to repair torn ligaments in his left wrist. The 23-year-old has reeled in two of his three targets for seven yards in the defeat in Week 15. Through 14 games, he's totaled 41 catches for 439 receiving yards and a team-leading four touchdown receptions.
