H. Average Draft Position Updated For Non-PPR
One of the most useful bits of information when you're drafting where you expect the other GMs in your league to draft a player. Average Draft Position (ADP) is your answer there and we've got some of the best data available on this. Use it to your advantage. This one is for Non-PPR scoring.

1. CAR - RB Christian McCaffrey ready to go

Source: Charlotte Observer - Jonathan Alexander

Carolina Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey said he is 'back to 100 percent' after dealing with a variety of injuries last season. 'I'm healthy and ready to roll,' McCaffrey said.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Great news for the Panthers and for Fantasy GMs here. McCaffrey is arguably the best running back in the game, and he's still getting drafted near no.1 overall in most every fantasy draft even though he missed 13 games last year due to injury. With new QB Sam Darnold, the Panthers offense should continue to flow through the superstar running back.

2. NE - QB Cam Newton misses practice

Source: NFL Network - Michael Giardi

New England Patriots QB Cam Newton (hand) did not participate in practice Thursday, June 10, but should be fine, according to head coach Bill Belichick.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

As always, news and information about injured Patriots players is a bit hazy. Newton will miss OTAs and is expected to miss mandatory minicamp next week as well. His status for the start of training camp is unknown. If he's going to be fine then perhaps he'll be ready in late July. In the meantime, rookie first-round pick Mac Jones gets a larger opportunity to showcase his talent in practice.

3. NE - TE Hunter Henry injured Thursday

Source: NFL Network - Michael Giardi

New England Patriots TE Hunter Henry (leg) suffered an apparent lower leg injury during practice Thursday, June 10, and was not able to return.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Henry is a talented player but he has battled with various injuries during his pro career. The Patriots picked him up as a free agent this year, along with Jonnu Smith, to revamp the position. Not much is known about the severity of this injury, but it's something to monitor given his potential role and his history with missing time due to injury.

4. CHI - Justin Fields signs rookie deal

Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero

Chicago Bears first-round pick QB Justin Fields signed his four-year, $18,871,952 contract that includes a $11,085,056 signing bonus Thursday, June 10. The deal includes a fifth-year option.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fields is smart, athletic and can make all the throws required in the NFL. He reads the full field and generally stays safe with the ball as a passer. Fields needs to speed up his mechanics as a passer in order to play up to his potential as a pro. He is hopefully the franchise quarterback the Bears have searched far and wide for. Fields will compete with Andy Dalton in training camp for the starting job in 2021.

5. TB - WR Antonio Brown closer to return

Source: NFL Network - James Palmer

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Antonio Brown (knee) is about two weeks away from returning to practice, the team announced Tuesday, June 8.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

That means Brown should miss mandatory minicamp, but he'll be ready for the start of training camp. With the Bucs keeping the band together, it's easy to project Brown's stats for 2021 based on him being the no.3 receiving option behind Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.

6. LAR - Jacob Harris working at TE

Source: SI.com - Eric D. Williams

Los Angeles Rams WR Jacob Harris has been been making an impact as a tight end during OTAs. 'Jacob Harris is a guy that's definitely stood out,' said head coach Sean McVay. 'Just his overall speed and athleticism, you kind of feel him on the field.'

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Is Harris a tight end or a wide receiver? This was a debate raging in Draft Twitter before the draft. The UCF wide receiver can play tight end is need be as he's got good size for the position. He was a slot receiver in Josh Heupel's system at UCF but didn't catch a pass in his football career until his junior season. He showed a nose for the endzone in 2020 (8 touchdowns) and 74.1 percent of his college catches went for a first down. We'll monitor Harris in deep dynasty formats just to see how he translates at the position.

7. BAL - No offer for RB Todd Gurley

Source: Undefined with Josina Anderson - Josina Anderson

Updating a previous report, free-agent RB Todd Gurley (Falcons) had a positive meeting with the Baltimore Ravens Thursday, June 10, but left without a contract offer, according to a source.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Just like with the Lions at the end of May, Gurley gets to workout but he gets no contract offer. Teams are likely just updating their emergency lists. Gurley is getting some attention but may not find a new home until training camp. There's a chance he doesn't get a new team until the start of the regular season too. He's not the player he used to be but he's not yet done playing in the NFL.

8. CHI - WR Anthony Miller dinged up

Source: The Athletic - Adam Jahns

Chicago Bears WR Anthony Miller (undisclosed) missed practice with a minor injury Wednesday, June 9, according to head coach Matt Nagy.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's a minor injury, so it sounds like nothing to worry about here with Miller. We'll see what kind of chemistry he can build with rookie QB Justin Fields or veteran QB Andy Dalton for the 2021 season. There was some buzz earlier this offseason that Miller could be moved via trade but that never came to fruition. The fourth-year slot receiver is in the final year of his rookie contract.

9. GB - Jake Dolegala joining Packers

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Free-agent QB Jake Dolegala (Patriots) agreed to terms with the Green Bay Packers Thursday, June 10. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Dolegala is a huge (6-feet, 7-inches) developmental quarterback who has bounced around the league a bit. Undrafted out of Central Connecticut State in 2019, Dolegala is likely just a camp arm for the Aaron Rodgers-less Packers.

10. GB - TE Jace Sternberger suspended

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Green Bay Packers TE Jace Sternberger has been suspended for the first two games of the 2021 season for violating the NFL's policy on substance abuse.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Sternberger is an athletic backup behind Robert Tonyan. A third-round pick in the 2019 NFL draft, Sternberger has yet to play up to his potential in the pros. This suspension is yet another setback for Sternberger who may have to go to a different team in a couple of years for a fresh start.

11. BUF - TE Tommy Sweeney back on field

Source: BillsWire - Nick Wojton

Buffalo Bills TE Tommy Sweeney (heart) was able to participate in practice this week.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Sweeney had his 2020 season cut short after COVID-19 left him with myocarditis and a need to refrain from physical activity for months. A seventh-round pick out of Boston College in 2019, Sweeney flashed a bit as a rookie catching eight passes for 114 yards in five games. Now back and healthy, Sweeney will compete for a spot on the depth chart behind starter Dawson Knox.

12. NE - TE Hunter Henry expected to be fine

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

New England Patriots TE Hunter Henry (leg) is expected to be fine after leaving practice Thursday, June 10 because of a lower leg injury.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

That's good news for the oft-injured veteran tight end. Henry is talented but he's never played a full season in his pro career and has been slowed down by nagging injuries. We'll see if he can participate in mandatory minicamp for the Patriots next week.

13. NYG - TE Kelvin Benjamin leaves practice

Source: The Athletic - Dan Duggan

New York Giants WR/TE Kelvin Benjamin (undisclosed) left practice with trainers Tuesday, June 8.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This is an undisclosed situation, so there's no telling what's going on with Benjamin. He's battled with injuries in the past and hopefully he can get back out there soon enough.
