1. GB - QB Aaron Rodgers unlikely to report

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers is unlikely to report to mandatory minicamp this week, but the rest of the team is expected to attend.

Zero surprise here. Rodgers has dug his heels in, and the Packers insist they're not going to trade him. With him expected to miss mandatory minicamp, Rodgers will get fined $93,000 for his absence. Expect this to go into training camp as well unless and until the Packers realize they have to trade him.

2. BAL - RB Gus Edwards extended

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Baltimore Ravens restricted free-agent RB Gus Edwards signed a two-year, $10 million extension Monday, June 7.

The team covets Edwards ability to grind out tough yardage and drag would-be tacklers with him. Edwards should get more touches this year with the departure of Mark Ingram (Texans). He'll work in a RBBC with starter J.K. Dobbins, and Edwards could see his ADP rise (RB42, 9.08) as we get closer to the regular season. Edwards has plenty of flex appeal with his natural talent and the opportunity he has on a run-heavy team like the Ravens.

3. GB - WR Davante Adams expected at minicamp

Source: NFL.com - Nick Shook

Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams is expected to participate in the mandatory minicamp this week, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Adams, and several other wide receivers for the Packers, skipped voluntary workouts as most speculate they did that as a show of solidarity for their quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Even though Rodgers is unlikely to show up for mandatory work as he wants to be traded, the wide receivers will be back in the building. There's a chance we see a Jordan Love-led Packers offense this season.

4. DEN - TE Noah Fant misses practice

Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis

Denver Broncos TE Noah Fant (teeth) did not participate in practice Monday, June 7, because he recently had dental work.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fant will be back in action soon enough. The upside and talent is there for Fant to one day be one of the best tight ends in the league. We'll see who wins the quarterback job between Drew Lock or Teddy Bridgewater, but no matter the starter we should see Fant be a favorite target.

5. DEN - QB Drew Lock bothered by blister

Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis

Denver Broncos QB Drew Lock (hand) participated in practice Monday, June 7, despite having a blister on his throwing hand. Head coach Vic Fangio said he is not sure how much if affected his throwing during practice.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

He's in a 50-50 battle for the starting job with Teddy Bridgewater after being handed the job last year. Lock was one of the worst starters in 2020, and Bridgewater gives him real competition for the top spot on the depth chart. Over the course of OTAs, Bridgewater has looked like the better quarterback (including 11-on-11 drills on Monday) while Lock still looks like his old self. This battle should go well into training camp, so Lock has to get healthy and get better to win the job.

6. DEN - WR Tim Patrick dealing with minor injury

Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis

Denver Broncos WR Tim Patrick (hamstring) did not practice Monday, June 7, because of a slight hamstring injury. Head coach Vic Fangio said Patrick could have practiced if needed.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

No need to rush Patrick out there and aggravate the injury. Patrick was solid for the Broncos last year in the absence of Courtland Sutton. With Sutton back healthy for 2021, Patrick is more of a reserve no.3 or no.4 receiver on the Broncos depth chart.
