1. GB - QB Aaron Rodgers speaks on trade situation

Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers said the situation with the Packers is not because of the coaching staff or using a first-round pick on QB Jordan Love last year. 'It's never been about the draft pick, picking Jordan,' Rodgers said. 'I love Jordan; he's a great kid. I love the coaching staff. I love my teammates. I love the fan base in GB. It's just about a philosophy and maybe forgetting it is about the people that make things go.'

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Rodgers praised everyone with the Packers...except the front office. There's a situation that has been brewing for some time and we could see that come to a head in early June. After June 1st, that's when the Packers can trade Rodgers with a lower cap hit. That's if they decide to trade him at that time. The team wants to do whatever they can to convince Rodgers to stay but they may not be able to do that. The Broncos are waiting in the wings, ready to make a blockbuster move for Rodgers if he becomes available.

2. CIN - Joe Burrow to do work

Source: The Athletic - Paul Dehner Jr.

Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow (knee) arrived at Bengals organized team activities with a helmet and a brace on his knee Tuesday, May 25.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Burrow is going to be limited this offseason as the team wants him to be ready for Week 1 of the regular season. That means Burrow will do just a little bit in minicamp and training camp. There's a chance Burrow does not play in any of the preseason games either just to be sure. We'll know more about his preseason availability later this summer.

3. CAR - QB Sam Darnold building rapport with star RB

Source: Panthers.com - Darin Gantt

Carolina Panthers QB Sam Darnold has spent significant time this offseason working out with RB Christian McCaffrey, who was quick to sing Darnold's praises in a recent interview with Panthers.com Darin Gantt.'I've gotten to know him really well in the last few months. Just getting together throwing with him and hanging out off the field. He's an incredible talent and incredible teammate already, so I'm super excited for him. ... I think he'll fit in great. Already fits in great. ... He's very laid back, but he's definitely a leader too. And he knows when to put his foot down when he needs to and be a leader when he needs to. I think that's something that makes all quarterbacks great,' McCaffrey said.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

If Darnold wants to play better, then building chemistry with McCaffrey is the way to do just that. A healthy McCaffrey makes a world of difference for the Panthers offense. The superstar running back should become a favorite target of Darnold and catching 85-100 passes in 2021 should be in the plan.

4. TB - WR Antonio Brown passes physical

Source: Tampa Bay Times - Rick Stroud

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Antonio Brown (knee) passed his physical Tuesday, May 25, and officially signed his one-year deal.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Buccaneers brought back everyone who helped them win a Super Bowl with the idea they could make another run. Brown will serve as a no.3 receiver behind Mike Evans and Chris Godwin once again in 2021.

5. SEA - QB Russell Wilson committed for '21

Source: SI.com - Albert Breer

Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson has reached an understanding with the team and is committed to the team for 2021. One source put it, 'It's basically I'm here now, and I'm going to make it the best it can be.'

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Wilson is signed through the 2023 season but there have been rumblings about him perhaps playing somewhere else. Others have reported this is his final contract with Seattle, which isn't difficult to deduce. Either way, Wilson is committed for the 2021 season and the team's offense may flow through him and his receiving weapons more than ever this year. Wilson has a current ADP of QB8 (6.01) in 12-team PPR leagues.

6. GB - Jordan Love catching the eye of his coach

Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Michael David Smith

Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love has made noticeable strides this offseason according to comments made by head coach Matt LaFleur, who noted it is 'obvious' that Love has been working hard to get better.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's good to hear that Love is making improvements because he was nowhere near ready last year as a rookie first-round pick. Love is the top man on the depth chart if Aaron Rodgers gets traded and could be the team's starter. Of course, the Packers are doing whatever they can to convince Rodgers to stay and this situation is in flux. Stay tuned.

7. CAR - Tommy Stevens working with TEs

Source: ESPN.com - David Newton

Carolina Panthers QB Tommy Stevens remains listed as a quarterback but has worked with the tight end group throughout the offseason, according to ESPN.com's David Newton. Per Newton, Stevens was signed with the 'thinking he was a Taysom Hill type.'

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Stevens was drafted by the Saints in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL draft. He didn't make the 53-man roster but he signed with the practice squad. After getting released in November 2020, the Panthers picked him up. The Saints already tried him out at tight end, so playing that position is nothing new to the former Penn State/Mississippi State quarterback.

8. WAS - Washington inks TE Ricky Seals-Jones

Source: The Washington Post - Nicki Jhabvala

Free-agent TE Ricky Seals-Jones (Chiefs) signed an undisclosed contract with the Washington Football Team on Tuesday, May 25.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Seals-Jones will compete behind starting TE Logan Thomas to establish a pecking order at the tight end position for WFT. He's got athleticism and potential is there but he's yet to put it all together in the pros. We'll see if he can be a reliable reserve player.

9. PIT - Najee Harris gets rookie deal done

Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Pittsburgh Steelers first-round pick RB Najee Harris signed a four-year contract worth a fully guaranteed $13.1 million on Tuesday, May 25, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The deal includes a signing bonus of $6.85 million, per The Athletic's Mark Kaboly.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Harris is there to be the lead back for the Steelers. With an aging Ben Roethlisberger the offense needs to run through Harris as much as possible. Harris is a three-down back who can thrive as a featured runner and is a natural receiver out of the backfield.

10. WAS - Jaret Patterson draws lofty comp from coach

Source: WashingtonFootball.com - Zach Selby

Washington Football Team RB Jaret Patterson 'showed off his quickness on several occasions as he rotated through plays with the rest of his fellow running backs' during organized team activities Tuesday, May 25, according to Zach Selby of washingtonfootball.com. Selby also notes head coach Ron Rivera said Patterson reminds him of Darren Sproles during rookie minicamp.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Patterson has some skill but let's pump the brakes on the Sproles comparisons. He's more of a Jacquizz Rodgers in our eyes because his feet aren't as sweet as Sproles used to be. Patterson is tough and competitive in a compact frame and he will not back down from a challenge. He's competing for a spot on the depth chart behind Antonio Gibson and J.D. McKissic.

11. PHI - Jalen Reagor to be on the move more in 2021

Source: Inside the Birds - Geoff Mosher

Philadelphia Eagles WR Jalen Reagor told reporters Tuesday, May 25, that he will play in the slot and 'move around a great deal' in 2021.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Reagor, a first-round pick in the 2020 NFL draft, played most of his snaps outside as a rookie and finished the season with 31 catches for 396 yards and one touchdown. The Eagles went back to the well in the first round this year to add DeVonta Smith (Alabama) and he should play a large role. Getting Reagor targets from the slot with Smith taking the top off the defense on the outside sounds like a good combination.
