1. NE - Top QBs working together

Source: ESPN.com - Mike Reiss

New England Patriots QBs Jarrett Stidham and Brian Hoyer have been working out together this offseason.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

That makes sense as Hoyer has been in the system a long time and the team is obviously valuing that at quarterback. Stidham beat Hoyer our for the backup spot last year. Hoyer would probably be better for the fantasy value of Patriots receivers, but either way this will be a bottom 10 pass offense.

2. LVR - Henry Ruggs using crutches

Source: AL.com - Wesley Sinor

Updating previous reports, Las Vegas Raiders WR Henry Ruggs III (thigh) is currently using crutches after sustaining a cut to his thigh while attempting to move items into a trailer, according to his father, Henry Ruggs Jr.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

That suggests more than just a nick or bump. The team hasn't given us any reason to think Ruggs won't be ready for training camp, but it won't be shocking if he gets off to a slow start after all rookies have already lost the chance to have minicamps and OTAs. This could help Hunter Renfrow, Darren Waller, and Tyrell Williams have better starts to the regular season.

3. TB - QB Tom Brady unfazed by disguised coverage

Source: ESPN.com - Jenna Laine

Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Tom Brady's 8.5 touchdown-to-interception ratio versus disguised coverage is the league's best mark since 2016, while his completion percentage of 69.1 in those same situations ranks fourth over the same span. Last year's starter, Jameis Winston, posted marks of 1.23 and 65, respectively.)

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Brady has always been one of the best in the game in the mental aspect of playing quarterback, which is possibly the most important attribute of a passer. Tampa's rivals would be better off sending extra rushers than trying to cross up Brady with changing looks at the snap.

4. IND - Two options for DT job

Source: ColtsWire - Kevin Hickey

Indianapolis Colts DTs Grover Stewart and Sheldon Day are expected to compete for one of the starting defensive tackle jobs during training camp.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

They will compete for the one-technique spot next to new acquisition DeForest Buckner. Both are quality players and the Colts are deep all across the defensive line this year.

5. NFL - LB Micah Parsons a future star?

Source: NFL.com - Daniel Jeremiah

Penn State LB Micah Parsons 'checks off all the boxes' for a linebacker in today's NFL, according to Daniel Jeremiah of NFL.com, and Jeremiah said he currently has a higher grade on Parsons than he had on Baltimore Ravens LB Patrick Queen, Los Angeles Chargers LB Kenneth Murray and Seattle Seahawks LB Jordyn Brooks, the three linebackers taken in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jeremiah loves Parsons size, rugged nature taking on blocks, speed, coverage abilities, and blitzing abilities. Penn State was once known as "Linebacker U" and Parsons is a worthy heir to that tradition. He should be on your radar if you play in IDP leagues or just like watching good football players.

6. LAC - Mike Davis to be pushed for job

Source: Chargers Wire - Gavino Borquez

Los Angeles Chargers CB Mike A. Davis is expected to be pushed by CB Brandon Facyson for one of the starting cornerback jobs during training camp.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Facyson was an easy target for opposing quarterbacks last year, so if he can beat out Davis, that's probably a bad thing for Chargers.

7. IND - Several candidates to start at DE

Source: ColtsWire - Kevin Hickey

Indianapolis Colts DEs Kemoko Turay, Ben Banogu and Al-Quadin Muhammad are expected to compete for one of the starting defensive end jobs during training camp.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Turay has the highest ceiling, but is coming off of an ankle injury that ended his 2019 in October. The Colts invested second round picks in Turay and Banogu, so they need to get some production out of that spot opposite Justin Houston.

8. LAC - CB Chris Harris expected to be slot CB

Source: Chargers Wire - Gavino Borquez

Los Angeles Chargers CB Chris Harris Jr. is expected to be used primarily as the slot cornerback this upcoming season even though can play outside cornerback and safety as well.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Desmond King was previously in the slot for the Chargers and he played well, so there could be a trade market there since the Chargers like their starters outside, Casey Hayward and Michael Davis.

9. CLE - DE Adrian Clayborn gets pressure on QBs

Source: ESPN.com - Jim Trotter

Cleveland Browns DE Adrian Clayborn is ranked second with a quarterback pressure rate of 13.8 percent out of the 11 players in the league with at least 500 pass-rush snaps over the last two seasons, according to Next Gen Stats. The only player in that group with a higher pressure rate is new teammate Myles Garrett.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Browns have a lot pass rushing talent on the defensive line but their back seven is in flux and will be tested this year under new defensive coordinator Joe Woods. The Ravens will get to probe Cleveland's defense for weaknesses in Week 1.

10. WAS - CB Kendall Fuller may see time at safety

Source: ESPN.com - John Keim

Washington Redskins CB Kendall Fuller will be used primarily at slot cornerback this season, but the team would like to use him at free safety in some defensive packages.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Washington has the best defensive line in the league, but their secondary is surely lacking. They brought back Fuller this year after trading him to Kansas City in the Alex Smith trade and he's expected to be an anchor of the group no matter where he lines up.

11. WAS - Jimmy Moreland hoping to show versatility

Source: ESPN.com - John Keim

Washington Redskins CB Jimmy Moreland is expected to get some work in covering the slot this summer, and if he is able to show well inside, it would allow the team to move Kendall Fuller into a safety role in some sub packages, according to ESPN's John Keim.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Washington is going to be experimenting to find the right combination in the defensive backfield coming off of an offseason with no practices. They'll need to hope that their defensive line featuring five first-round picks gets enough pressure to mask their growing pains. Philadelphia gets to test them in Week 1.

12. WAS - ILB Reuben Foster likely to be used at WLB

Source: ESPN.com - John Keim

Washington Redskins LB Reuben Foster likely will be used at weakside linebacker this upcoming season.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Washington will line up Thomas Davis at one of their linebacker spots this year but there will be competition for the others. They could also use different linebackers on passing downs and make it difficult to find an IDP league worthy linebacker on the roster this year.

13. TEN - Adoree' Jackson could see a lot of slot snaps

Source: ESPN.com - Turron Davenport

Tennessee Titans CB Adoree' Jackson could assume a different role in the secondary in 2020, including the possibility of logging extensive snaps as the nickel in sub packages.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Titans will need to replace Logan Ryan's impactful play from the slot and Jackson certainly has the quickness and speed to match up with slot receivers and experience outside to match up with #1 receivers when they move inside on passing downs. Tennessee is hoping he earns the fifth-year option they picked up for 2021.

14. TEN - DE Jack Crawford to be pushed for starting job

Source: TitansWire - Mike Moraitis

Tennessee Titans DT Jack Crawford is the leading candidate for one of the starting spots on the defensive line but is expected to compete with DE Isaiah Mack and DT Larrell Murchison for the job. All three probably will receive snaps at the position during the season.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Titans have a hole to fill after trading Jurrell Casey to the Broncos for a seventh-round pick. Casey is 30 and due over 11 million dollars this year, but he is still a top option. The Titans haven't done anything with the extra cap room yet, but some have said they could sign Jadeveon Clowney.

15. CLE - Former CLE coach wanted team to sign QB Colin Kaepernick

Source: The News-Herald - Jeff Schudel

Former Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson said that he wanted the team to sign free-agent QB Colin Kaepernick (49ers) in 2017, during a radio interview with WKNR-AM's Tony Rizzo and Aaron Goldhammer. However, Jackson did not have the ability to make personnel decisions and the Browns selected DeShone Kizer in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft instead.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Kaepernick could end up back in the league after the recent change of tone about his protests before games. He would have some fantasy value as a running quarterback if he ends up starting at any point this year.
