We've got a limited number of spots open for the new contest starting with games this weekend. It's just $35 to enter for your shot at Post Season glory and a $20,000 Grand Prize.

Plus we've got some News and Notes so let's get to it.

1. PHI - Doug Pederson done in Philadelphia

Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson was fired Monday, Jan. 11, according to a source.

The relationship Pederson had with QB Carson Wentz was reportedly fractured beyond repair. Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie decided to go with the quarterback and move on from Pederson. We'll see if the team can build back Wentz's confidence and get the team back into the playoff picture. Under Pederson, the Eagles went to the playoffs three times and of course it wasn't that long ago that they beat the Patriots in Super Bowl LII. The Jets are reportedly interested in Pederson as their head coach, so he should land on his feet soon enough.

2. LVR - RB Josh Jacobs avoids DUI charge

Source: ESPN.com - Paul Gutierrez

Updating a previous report, Las Vegas Raiders RB Josh Jacobs was charged with failure to exercise due care in his single-car accident on Jan. 4. He had previously been reported by multiple sources that Jacobs was charged and arrested for driving under the influence.

That's an important determination in this legal situation. That means Jacobs would not be up for suspension by the NFL in 2021.

3. BUF - Zack Moss done for the postseason

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Updating a previous report, Buffalo Bills RB Zack Moss (ankle) will miss the remainder of the NFL Playoffs due to the ankle injury he suffered during the AFC Wild Card game versus the Indianapolis Colts.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Moss brings power to the Bills backfield, working in tandem with Devin Singletary. The rookie back will now be replaced by T.J. Yeldon, although Yeldon might not get the amount of touches or responsibility that Moss had.

4. NYG - G-Men could target WR Corey Davis

Source: The Athletic - Dan Duggan

The New York Giants could target Tennessee Titans WR Corey Davis in free agency after the season, in the opinion of The Athletic's Dan Duggan, who writes that Davis would provide upside at a lower price than some more established wideouts.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Davis has flashed big-time ability and will now get a chance to test the market. We'll see if a role as a potential no.1 wide receiver with a new team helps Davis flourish even more.

5. SEA - Seattle signs 11 to futures deals

Source: NFLCommunications.com

Free-agent OT Tommy Champion, QB Danny Etling, WR Aaron Fuller, WR Penny Hart, CB Gavin Heslop, DT Cedrick Lattimore, C Brad Lundblade, TE Tyler Mabry, QB Alex McGough, CB Jordan Miller and WR Cody Thompson signed Reserve/Future contract with the Seattle Seahawks Monday, Jan. 11. Terms of the contracts were not disclosed.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We'll always have a soft spot for WR Penny Hart...in crazy deep dynasty formats of course. Hart is super quick and super fast, so he's dangerous with the rock in his hands. It will be fun to see if he continues to progress in his pro career.

6. JAX - Jacksonville focused on Urban Meyer?

Source: ESPN.com - Dan Graziano and Jeremy Fowler

The Jacksonville Jaguars have 'strong interest' in former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer for their head coaching vacancy, and the interest is believed to be mutual, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's going to take a lot of money to get Urban as their head coach. While no deal is imminent, Fowler reports that the belief among other candidates is that the situation with Meyer will need to be resolved before they seriously consider offering the job to someone else.

7. NFL - Arthur Smith interviewing with four teams

Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Arthur Smith is interviewing for the head coaching vacancies with the New York Jets, Atlanta Falcons, Los Angeles Chargers and Detroit Lions over the next two days.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

With the Titans out of the playoffs, Smith will be able to go for in-person interviews. Smith is one of the hottest head-coaching candidates out there and should get a top job early in the process.

8. NYJ - QB Sam Darnold could still be QB1 in 2021

Source: ESPN.com - Rich Cimini

New York Jets QB Sam Darnold is viewed internally as 'good enough to build around,' in the opinion of ESPN's Todd McShay, who said that GM Joe Douglas is unlikely to draft a quarterback with the No. 2 overall pick in this year's draft.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

According to PFF, Darnold faced the highest pressure rate of any quarterback in the NFL this season. It would be interesting to see what Darnold would look like under a new head coach and with better protection around him. It might be too early to give up on the former top-5 pick.

9. PHI - RB Duce Staley under consideration for Philly job

Source: The Athletic - Zach Berman

Philadelphia Eagles assistant head coach and running backs coach Duce Staley will be considered one of the candidates to replace Doug Pederson as the team's new head coach, according to team owner Jeffrey Lurie.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Staley has been on the Eagles coaching staff since 2011. He's been the running backs coach from 2013, and in 2018 the team added assistant head coach to his title. Staley has been loyal and has a good reputation in coaching circles. He's a proven leader of men and could be a coach the Eagles rally around.

10. CHI - WR Allen Robinson uncertain about future in Chicago

Source: Chicago Tribune - Dan Wiederer

Chicago Bears WR Allen Robinson told the Chicago Tribune's Dan Wiederer on Monday, Jan. 11, that 'everything is pretty much on the table' as it relates to his impending free agency.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

No player in the league wants to be slapped with the franchise tag. We'll see what the Bears want to do with Robinson and money talks. Robinson has worked with poor quarterback play for most of his pro career. Imagine how much he could produce with a top-tier passer. He'll have plenty of interest on the open market.
