Howdy Folks,

Here we go. We've got the News and Notes you need so let's jump to it.

J

SITE NEWS

A. Footballguys DFS Power Grid Week 13
The Power Grid locks in their Daily Fantasy picks for the Week 13 Main Slate. Footballguys staffers Austin Lee, John Lee, Devin Knotts, and Phil Alexander debate Philip Rivers, Mike Glennon, Dalvin Cook, Derrick Henry, Brandin Cooks, Robert Woods, Hunter Henry, Robert Tonyan, and many more!

B. Find Hidden Sleepers For December - The Replacements
Who is this December's Unsung Hero?
It's not just December. It's December of 2020 in a pandemic. Meaning things move fast. Fantasy GMs need now more than ever to be looking WAY down the line for overlooked players that might "get the call".
Our Matt Waldman has done this each week of the season and it's easily one of the best things we do each week.
Each week, Matt walks our folks through the shortlist of players who will get their shot to contribute as replacements to starters who tested positive for the Coronavirus. We'll examine three types of replacements:
1. Players who get immediate playing time.
2. Preemptive additions from your league's waiver wire.
3. Options worth monitoring in case the established backup eventually misses time.
As Matt says, if you don't think street free agents won't factor, Raheem Mostert is on line one waiting for you to pick up, and he has a long list of players before him who would like to make an appointment to set you straight.
Seriously, check this out and use it. And if you like it, please consider a Footballguys Season Long Pro subscription for the Playoff Run.

C. Deep Discounts For Rest Of Season Footballguys Premium Subscriptions
If you're in the playoff hunt, you need every edge you can find and I don't know of a better edge than the Footballguys Season Long Pro premium subscription. We've deeply discounted the price that'll cover you from now through this year's Super Bowl. Jump on it and crush the playoffs.

1. KC - Clyde Edwards-Helaire missed practice again

Source: ESPN.com - Adam Teicher

Kansas City Chiefs RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire (illness) did not participate in practice for a second consecutive day Friday, Dec. 4.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Edwards-Helaire is said to have a stomach bug, so there's not a covid worry here, but he's still not a sure thing to go against Denver on Sunday night. Hopefully we will have more clarity on his availability on Sunday morning.

2. LVR - RB Josh Jacobs will not play in Week 13

Source: ESPN.com - Paul Gutierrez

Las Vegas Raiders RB Josh Jacobs (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 13 against the New York Jets.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Devontae Booker will get the start and should be a solid RB2 this week even though the Jets run defense can be tough. Jalen Richard and Theo Riddick will also get snaps in place of Jacobs.

3. DET - D'Andre Swift sidelined Friday

Source: MLive.com - Benjamin Raven

Detroit Lions RB D'Andre Swift (illness) will not practice Friday, Dec. 4, due to a non-COVID-19 illness, according to interim head coach Darrell Bevell. Swift, who is out of concussion protocol, also was dealing with the illness Thursday, and he was sent home from practice. 'We'll take this through the end of the week,' Bevell said.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Swift likely won't play much if he does play. Adrian Peterson and Kerryon Johnson are just desperation plays against the Bears this week.

4. MIA - RB Myles Gaskin could be activated

Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Josh Alper

Miami Dolphins RB Myles Gaskin (knee) practiced Friday, Dec. 4, could be activated this weekend from the Reserve/Injured list, head coach Brian Flores said in a news conference Friday.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

If Gaskin can go, he'll be the clear lead back and a good RB2 start with the next three backs on the depth chart likely out. Patrick Laird would be the #1 back if Gaskin can't go.

5. NYG - QB Daniel Jones listed as doubtful

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

New York Giants QB Daniel Jones (hamstring) is listed as doubtful for the team's Week 13 game Sunday, Dec. 6, against the Seattle Seahawks.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Colt McCoy will get the start and likely hold back the offense against a resurgent Seattle defense.

6. DEN - RB Phillip Lindsay good for Week 13

Source: NFL Network - James Palmer

Denver Broncos RB Phillip Lindsay (knee) is expected to play Sunday, Dec. 6, against the Kansas City Chiefs, the NFL Network's James Palmer reported Friday.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Lindsay will still take a back seat to Melvin Gordon. The Broncos running game was successful against the Chiefs in the first matchup, which makes Gordon a what the heck flex or low-end RB2 this week, but Lindsay is a desperation play.

7. MIN - RB Dalvin Cook not on injury report

Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Josh Alper

Updating a previous report, Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook (ankle) was a full participant in practice Friday, Dec. 4, and is not listed on the team's Week 13 injury report.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Cook has been giving us an injury scare a week, but he has been finishing games and should be very productive against the Jaguars this week.

8. ATL - WR Julio Jones has productive practice

Source: NFL Network - James Palmer

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (hamstring) reportedly 'moved around well' in practice Friday, Dec. 4, and feels 'pretty good' about his chances of playing Sunday against the New Orleans Saints.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jones usually plays well when he is not 100%, so if he's active, he's probably too good to pass up against the Saints. Just know there's a risk there. Hamstrings are something that can go from good to bad in an instant.

9. DET - WR Kenny Golladay to miss another game

Source: DetroitLions.com

Detroit Lions WR Kenny Golladay (hip) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 4, and has been ruled out for Week 13.

10. BAL - Baltimore brings back four

Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson

Baltimore Ravens RB J.K. Dobbins, LB Pernell McPhee, OL Patrick Mekari and C Matt Skura were activated from the Reserve/COVID-19 list Friday, Dec. 4.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Dobbins should be the lead back against the Cowboys and a good play on Tuesday no matter who starts at quarterback for the Ravens.

11. NE - QB Cam Newton questionable

Source: Patriots.com

New England Patriots QB Cam Newton (abdomen) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 4, and is listed as questionable for Week 13.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Newton is expected to play but his ceiling is very low against the Chargers.

12. TEN - TE Jonnu Smith remains out

Source: The Athletic - John Glennon

Tennessee Titans TE Jonnu Smith (knee) remained out of practice Friday, Dec. 4.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Smith is out for this week. Anthony Firkser is the play at tight end for the Titans in Week 13 even though blocking tight end Geoff Swaim had a better game than him last week.

13. DEN - Jerry Jeudy expected to play

Source: ESPN.com - Jeff Legwold

Denver Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy (ankle) is expected to play Sunday, Dec. 6, against the Kansas City Chiefs.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jeudy is still a risky play with a dysfunctional Broncos pass offense around him.

14. IND - DT DeForest Buckner activated

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Indianapolis Colts DT DeForest Buckner was activated from the Reserve/COVID-19 list Friday, Dec. 4.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This is huge for the Colts defense, which looked helpless against the Titans last week. They'll need Buckner against a red hot Deshaun Watson.

15. CHI - Darnell Mooney sits out Friday

Source: Chicago Tribune - Colleen Kane

Chicago Bears WR Darnell Mooney (knee) missed practice Friday, Dec. 4, and is listed as questionable on the team's Week 13 injury report. Bears head coach Matt Nagy said Mooney's absence Friday after practicing the previous two days was 'precautionary.'

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Mooney is a what the heck flex against a Lions secondary that has been known to give up big plays as of late.

16. MIA - Week 13 injury report for Miami

Source: MiamiDolphins.com

Miami Dolphins RB Salvon Ahmed (shoulder) was limited in practice all week, while DeAndre Washington (hamstring) was upgraded to a limited practice Friday, Dec. 4; both players are listed as doubtful for Week 13 against the Cincinnati Bengals. OG Solomon Kindley (foot) and QB Tua Tagovailoa (thumb) were limited in practice all week, while RB/WR Malcolm Perry (chest) was limited in practice for a second consecutive day Friday; all three players are listed as questionable. S Kavon Frazier (shoulder), CB Xavien Howard (shoulder), DE Shaq Lawson (shoulder), CB Jamal Perry (foot), TE Adam Shaheen (foot) and LB Andrew Van Ginkel (wrist) practiced in full all week and have been removed from the injury report.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ryan Fitzpatrick is more likely to start than Tagovailoa right now, making him a solid streamer or QB2/Superflex and increasing the value of Devante Parker and Mike Gesicki for the matchup against the Bengals.

17. MIN - TE Irv Smith remains out Friday

Source: St. Paul Pioneer Press - Chris Tomasson

Minnesota Vikings TE Irv Smith (back) remained out of practice Friday, Dec. 4.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Kyle Rudolph is a solid TE1 this week with Smith likely out again. The Jaguars have allowed nine touchdowns to tight ends this year.

18. NO - RB Alvin Kamara likely will play

Source: NewOrleansSaints.com

New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara (foot) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 4, and is not on the injury report for Week 13.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Kamara should still be in the lineups, but it's possible that Latavius Murray is worth more in fantasy with Taysom Hill at quarterback.

19. IND - QB Philip Rivers upgraded Friday

Source: Colts.com

Indianapolis Colts QB Philip Rivers (toe) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 4, and is not on the injury report for Week 13.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

There's been talk the injury was more serious but it's good news to see a full practice and no injury report. Rivers never moves too much anyway so hopefully this won't affect his game that much.

20. SF - Coach: WR Deebo Samuel good to go

Source: San Jose Mercury News - Cam Inman

San Francisco 49ers WR Deebo Samuel (hamstring) will play in Week 13 against the Buffalo Bills, head coach Kyle Shanahan said Friday, Dec. 4, in a radio interview. Shanahan said Samuel was given a rest day off practice Thursday.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Samuel is coming off of his best game of the year and should be in fantasy lineups Monday night.

21. DET - Detroit's injury report for Week 13

Source: DetroitLions.com

Detroit Lions WR Kenny Golladay (hip), DL Da'Shawn Hand (groin) and CB Jeff Okudah (shoulder) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 13 against the Chicago Bears. RB D'Andre Swift (illness) and DB Tracy Walker (non-injury) did not practice Friday, Dec. 4, and are listed as questionable. DE Austin Bryant (thigh) and QB Matthew Stafford (thumb) were limited in practice all week and are also listed as questionable. LB Christian Jones (knee) was limited in practice for a second straight day Friday but no longer appears on the injury report. WR Danny Amendola (hip), TE Hunter Bryant (concussion), WR Quintez Cephus (non-injury) and CB Mike Ford (concussion) practiced in full Friday and have also been removed the injury report.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Golladay doesn't appear to be close to returning. It's possible that the team could shut him down for the year if he doesn't show improvement over the next week or two.

22. PHI - Philadelphia's Week 13 injury report

Source: PhiladelphiaEagles.com

Philadelphia Eagles S Rudy Ford (hamstring) did not practice all week and has been ruled out for Week 13 versus the Green Bay Packers. CB Darius Slay (calf) was limited in practice for a second consecutive day Friday, Dec. 4, and is listed as questionable. DT Fletcher Cox (neck) was upgraded to a limited practice Friday and taken off the injury report. LB T.J. Edwards (hamstring) and TE Zach Ertz (ankle) were upgraded to a full practice Friday and also no longer appear on the injury report.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ertz is a what the heck tight end play this week, but he wasn't consistently productive before suffering his ankle injury, so he's far from a must play.

23. WAS - WR Terry McLaurin added to injury report

Source: WashingtonFootball.com

Washington Football Team WR Terry McLaurin (ankle) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 4.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This has been lingering but he played well last week. We're hopeful here but keep an eye on it.

24. CLE - Cleveland's injury report for Week 13

Source: ClevelandBrowns.com

Cleveland Browns CB Denzel Ward (calf) did not practice all week and has been ruled out for Week 13 against the Tennessee Titans. WRs KhaDarel Hodge (hamstring) and Taywan Taylor (neck) did not practice Friday, Dec. 4, and have also been ruled out. C Nick Harris (ankle) and DT Vincent Taylor (knee) were limited in practice all week and are as questionable. OT Jack Conklin (knee) and C JC Tretter (knee) were also limited in practice all week but have been removed from the injury report. DT Jordan Elliott (knee), RB Kareem Hunt (thigh), WR Jarvis Landry (hip), S Sheldrick Redwine (knee) and OG Wyatt Teller (calf) practiced in full Friday and also no longer appear on the injury report.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ward being out will help the matchup for Ryan Tannehill, AJ Brown and Corey Davis. Hodge being out will get rookie Donovan Peoples-Jones more snaps against a questionable Titans secondary.

25. CHI - WR Allen Robinson draws questionable tag

Source: ESPN.com - Jeff Dickerson

Chicago Bears WR Allen Robinson (knee) was limited in practice Friday, Dec. 4, and is listed as questionable on the team's Week 13 injury report.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

He left practice with a knee injury. The team reassured us that it was only precautionary, but check back Sunday morning to be sure before locking Robinson in against the Lions.

Source: Jaguars.com

Jacksonville Jaguars LB Dakota Allen (hamstring), LB Kamalei Correa (hamstring), TE Ben Ellefson (knee) and DT DaVon Hamilton (knee) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 13 against the Minnesota Vikings. CB Sidney Jones (Achilles) did not practice Friday, Dec. 4, and has also been ruled out. WR Chris Conley (hip), OL Jawaan Taylor (knee) and S Jarrod Wilson (shoulder) were limited in practice all week and are listed as questionable. WR DJ Chark Jr. (ribs), TE Tyler Eifert (rest), RB Dare Ogunbowale (hand), CB Brandon Rusnak (ribs, quad), DE Adam Gotsis (rest) and TE James O'Shaughnessy (rest) practiced in full Friday and have been removed from the injury report.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Chark is back this week and safe to put in lineups against the young Vikings cornerbacks.
