Updating a previous report, Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones (calf) on Friday, Oct. 30, was ruled out of the team's Week 8 game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Jamaal Williams will get the start and should be considered a top 10 running back play this week vs. Minnesota.

2. NE - CB Stephon Gilmore update

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

New England Patriots CB Stephon Gilmore's (knee) status is up in the air for Week 8 after he hurt his knee in practice Thursday, Oct. 29. He had an MRI, and a source said the injury was deemed minor.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Stefon Diggs matchup gets a lot better with this news. Next week's opponent is the Jets.

3. NE - WR Julian Edelman headed to IR

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman (knee) is likely headed to the Reserve/Injured list after having surgery to clean up his knee.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jakobi Meyers has a chance to lead the Patriots in targets and catches for the rest of the season. He was their best receiver in the loss to San Francisco last week.

4. MIN - RB Dalvin Cook updated to questionable

Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero

Updating a previous report, Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook (groin) is listed as questionable on the team's updated Week 8 injury report.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Cook is expected to play and should be in lineups, but we'll have to check Sunday morning to be 100% sure.

5. ATL - WR Calvin Ridley has X-rays

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Atlanta Falcons WR Calvin Ridley (foot) had X-rays on his injured foot, which were negative. He'll have an MRI to determine his fate for the next few weeks.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Falcons have a bye in Week 10, so it's possible that he'll only miss one game. The Broncos are on the schedule next week. Russell Gage and Hayden Hurst would be better plays if Ridley can't go.

6. NO - WR Michael Thomas to miss Week 8

Source: NewOrleansSaints.com

New Orleans Saints WR Michael Thomas (ankle, hamstring) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 30, but has been ruled out for Week 8.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Deonte Harris and Tre'Quan Smith will start at wide receiver for the Saints, but Alvin Kamara and Jared Cook will be big parts of the passing game with Kamara likely leading the team in targets by a large margin.

7. DAL - QB Andy Dalton officially doubtful

Source: NFLCommunications.com

Updating a previous report, Dallas Cowboys QB Andy Dalton (concussion) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 30, and is listed as doubtful for Week 8. The Cowboys did not hold a practice Friday, so this is an estimation.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ben Dinucci will be the starter on Sunday night, with Garrett Gilbert the backup. The Eagles defense will be chalk in DFS and it should be.

8. MIA - WR DeVante Parker expected to play

Source: The Miami Herald - Barry Jackson

Miami Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (groin) is expected to play in Week 8 against the Los Angeles Rams, head coach Brian Flores said Friday, Oct. 30.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Parker may draw Jalen Ramsey and he's playing in his first game with Tua Tagovailoa, so he's a risky WR3/Flex this week.

9. BAL - RB Mark Ingram out again

Source: The Baltimore Sun - Jonas Shaffer

Baltimore Ravens RB Mark Ingram (ankle) on Friday, Oct. 30, missed his third straight practice this week.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Gus Edwards and J.K. Dobbins will split the work in the backfield with Justice Hill getting a few snaps. Edwards will likely lead the group in touches, but Dobbins has more big play upside.

10. NE - N'Keal Harry absent Friday

Source: The Athletic - Jeff Howe

New England Patriots WR N'Keal Harry (concussion) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 30, and is not expected to play Sunday against the Buffalo Bills.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jakobi Meyers and Damiere Byrd will be the starters outside. Meyers is the best play in the Patriots passing game, but it's best to avoid it.

11. NO - Marquez Callaway ruled out

Source: NewOrleansSaints.com

New Orleans Saints WR Marquez Callaway (ankle) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 30, but has been ruled out for Week 8.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Callaway had a great first start as a Saints last week and he is still worth holding in dynasty leagues despite promptly getting hurt during his breakout game.

12. PHI - WR Alshon Jeffery ruled out

Source: PhiladelphiaEagles.com

Philadelphia Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery (calf) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 30, and has been ruled out for Week 8.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The team doesn't know if Jeffery got hurt in practice, but they suspect it. They don't know the exact play that the injury happened on, if the injury happened in a practice. It's beginning to feel like Jeffery has played his last game in an Eagle uniform.

13. TEN - WR A.J. Brown back on field

Source: ESPN.com - Turron Davenport

Tennessee Titans WR A.J. Brown (knee) returned to practice Friday, Oct. 30, after sitting out the previous day.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It seems like Thursday is a scheduled rest day for Brown even though the Titans haven't said as much. He should have a field day against the Bengals as long as the game is close.

14. SF - SF hopeful on RB Tevin Coleman

Source: NBC Sports Bay Area - Matt Maiocco

San Francisco 49ers RB Tevin Coleman (knee) received a 'heavy workload' in practice Thursday, Oct. 29, and the team is hopeful he'll be available for Sunday's Week 8 game against the Seattle Seahawks, general manager John Lynch said Friday. How Coleman's knee responds Friday will be key, Lynch added.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Coleman has been a consistent fantasy disppointment who is hard to depend on, but his presence this weekend could short circuit JaMycal Hasty's chance of a breakout game vs. Seattle. Coleman should be added in typical leagues, but keep expectations modest.

15. DEN - Full practice for TE Noah Fant

Source: DenverBroncos.com

Denver Broncos TE Noah Fant (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 30, and is not on the injury report for Week 8.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fant is over his high ankle sprain and should be considered a TE1 this week against the Chargers.

16. CLE - TE Austin Hooper to miss Week 8

Source: ClevelandBrowns.com

Cleveland Browns TE Austin Hooper (abdomen) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 30, and has been ruled out for Week 8.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Harrison Bryant is going to have a large role again this week after scoring twice against Cincinnati in Week 7. He's a solid TE1 play against Las Vegas.

17. CIN - Week 8 injury report for Bengals

Source: Bengals.com

Cincinnati Bengals OT Bobby Hart (knee), C Trey Hopkins (concussion) and OT Jonah Williams (stinger) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 30, and have been ruled out for Week 8. CB Darius Phillips (knee) was limited during practice and is listed as questionable. WR John Ross (illness) did not practice but is not on the injury report. DT Geno Atkins (non-injury), DT Mike Daniels (non-injury), S Brandon Wilson (knee), LB Markus Bailey (neck), TE Cethan Carter (shoulder), CB William Jackson III (concussion) and OG Mike Jordan (back) fully participated in practice and are not on the injury report.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Bengals will be starting backups at multiple key positions on the line, which makes the Titans D/ST look a lot more attractive and Joe Burrow less attractive this week.

18. MIN - Week 8 injury report for Vikings

Source: Vikings.com

Minnesota Vikings CB Holton Hill (foot) and CB Mike Hughes (neck) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 30, and have been ruled out for Week 8. WR Dan Chisena (hip) did not practice and is listed as questionable. CB Kris Boyd (back, hamstring), S Anthony Harris (wrist) and OG Dru Samia (wrist) fully participated in practice and are not on the injury report.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Vikings pass defense will be starting backups at both cornerback positions. Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams should have an easy go of it against them if the wind allows it.

19. NYG - RB Saquon Barkley having surgery

Source: NFL Network - Kim Jones

New York Giants RB Saquon Barkley (knee) told NFL Network's Kim Jones that he's having surgery on his torn anterior cruciate ligament Friday, Oct. 30.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Keep this in mind when calculating when Barkley should be back on the field. Letting the swelling going down in his knee was part of the delay, but the surgeon being the team doctor for the Dodgers, who just completed a World Series victory, also contributed to the date being this late.

20. NYJ - Questionable tag for RB Frank Gore

Source: NewYorkJets.com

New York Jets RB Frank Gore (hand) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 30, and is listed as questionable for Week 8.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Lamical Perine is the better Jets back to play this week, but both are mere desperation plays at Kansas City.

21. DEN - WR Tim Patrick listed as questionable

Source: DenverBroncos.com

Denver Broncos WR Tim Patrick (hamstring) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 30, and is listed as questionable for Week 8.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Patrick is probably on the doubtful side of questionable. Albert Okwuegbunam and Jerry Jeudy could be top targets for Drew Lock against the Chargers.

22. PHI - RB Miles Sanders to miss another game

Source: PhiladelphiaEagles.com

Philadelphia Eagles RB Miles Sanders (knee) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 30, and has been ruled out for Week 8.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Sanders could return after the Week 9 bye, but it's not a sure thing. Boston Scott is a great play this week and he is worth carrying through the bye to see if Sanders is ready to play against the Giants.

23. BUF - WR John Brown expected to be available

Source: BuffaloBills.com

Buffalo Bills WR John Brown (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 30, and is not on the injury report for Week 8.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Bills target tree gets wider, but with Stephon Gilmore banged up, it could still bear fruit for Brown and Cole Beasley along with Stefon Diggs, whose outlook improves the most against the once fearsome Patriots pass defense.

24. CHI - Door still open for WR Allen Robinson

Source: Chicago Tribune - Brad Biggs

Chicago Bears WR Allen Robinson (concussion) did not practice Friday, Oct. 30, and is listed as questionable on the team's Week 8 injury report. However, Robinson could still play Sunday in Week 8 if he's able to clear the concussion protocol this weekend, according to a team beat reporter.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Don't expect to see Robinson out there Sunday, but the fact that it's a home game is keeping him in play for the matchup with the Saints. If he can't go, Anthony Miller and Darnell Mooney should start against the New Orleans secondary that has been prone to giving up big plays.

25. NE - RB Damien Harris listed as questionable

Source: Patriots.com

New England Patriots RB Damien Harris (ankle) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 30, and is listed as questionable for Week 8.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Patriots running game was getting on track at times against the 49ers, but Harris coming into this game banged up plus the recent offensive woes makes him only a desperation play this week.

26. DEN - Questionable tag for RB Phillip Lindsay

Source: DenverBroncos.com

Denver Broncos RB Phillip Lindsay (concussion) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 30, and is listed as questionable for Week 8.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Lindsay could clear concussion protocol before the game, which would make him a better play than Melvin Gordon. We'll have to monitor this one until game time.

27. NYJ - WR Jamison Crowder doubtful after setback

Source: ESPN.com - Rich Cimini

New York Jets WR Jamison Crowder (groin) suffered a setback in practice Friday, Oct. 30, with his groin injury, and has been downgraded to doubtful on the team's Week 8 injury report. He is not expected to play Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Crowder can't get over the hump with this injury. Denzel Mims will be the best play this week and Braxton Berrios is a potential cheap PPR hit against the Chiefs this weekend.
