1. CLE - WR Odell Beckham Jr. out for season

Source: JosinaMedia.com - Josina Anderson

Cleveland Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. (knee) confirmed that he suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament, and his season is over.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

A big loss for the Browns offense. Beckham is under contract through the 2023 season and the team now moves forward without him. They'll turn to Rashard Higgins to do more in his absence. We could also see more tight end usage and more targets for Jarvis Landry for the rest of the 2020 season.

2. CAR - RB Christian McCaffrey returns to practice

Source: ESPN.com - Field Yates

Updating a previous story, Carolina Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey (ankle) returned to practice Monday, Oct. 26.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Panthers are monitoring McCaffrey's status closely. They play on Thursday night in Week 8 which makes McCaffrey's status one to watch as the week goes on. There is a chance that he plays in Week 8 although some feel that he's still about a week away. Stay tuned.

3. CLE - RB Nick Chubb slated for Week 10

Source: Akron Beacon Journal - Nate Ulrich

Cleveland Browns RB Nick Chubb (knee) could return in Week 10 after the bye, according to head coach Kevin Stefanski.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

That's good news for the Browns. They've lost WR Odell Beckham Jr. (knee) for the rest of the year so getting Chubb back will help. He should go back to being the no.1 back for the offense and then Kareem Hunt will resume his role as a high-value reserve running back.

4. BAL - RB Mark Ingram's status uncertain

Source: The Athletic - Jeff Zrebiec

Baltimore Ravens RB Mark Ingram's (ankle) status for Week 8 will not be known until later in the week, according to head coach John Harbaugh.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fantasy GMs are largely avoiding the Ravens backfield anyway. Check back on Ingram's status later in the week if you play in a deep enough league.

5. DAL - QB Andy Dalton in concussion protocol

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Dallas Cowboys QB Andy Dalton (concussion) is in the league's concussion protocol, but the team isn't likely to sign another quarterback this week.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It seems like the Cowboys are hopeful that Dalton can get through the protocol in good time. They're still grooming backup Ben DiNucci to start this week. The Cowboys play against the Eagles on Sunday night in Week 8.

6. ARI - RB Kenyan Drake expected to miss games

Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Updating a previous story, Arizona Cardinals RB Kenyan Drake (ankle) is expected to miss 'a few weeks' due to a slight tear of a ligament in his ankle, according to a source.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Chase Edmonds is now the starter and he's got RB1 upside for Fantasy GMs with Drake out.

7. PHI - Jalen Reagor nearing return

Source: NFLCommunications.com

Philadelphia Eagles WR Jalen Reagor (thumb) was designated for return from the Reserve/Injured list Monday, Oct. 26.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Some good news for the Eagles WR corps here. Reagor has flashed a little bit as a rookie but he's missed all but two games so far this year. The team has a bye in Week 9 so there's a chance Reagor might miss another game as he gets his legs back under him.

8. SEA - RB Chris Carson week to week

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Updating a previous story, Seattle Seahawks RB Chris Carson (foot) is week to week and expected to miss multiple games after an MRI taken Monday, Oct. 26, confirmed he has a mid-foot sprain.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

A mid-foot sprain is never a good thing. The Seahawks can now turn to Carlos Hyde as their starter. Rookie DeeJay Dallas will back him up.

9. NYG - Teams calling on TE Evan Engram

Source: ESPN.com - Jordan Raanan

New York Giants TE Evan Engram has received trade interest from other teams, but the Giants don't appear willing to deal him unless they're blown away with an offer.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Engram can be a quality starter when healthy. It might be time for him to get a fresh start and that's why teams are sniffing around the former first-round pick. The Giants insist that Engram is part of their plans but they'd move him if they got an offer they can't refuse.

FOOTBALLGUYS PICKS

Title Text - Detail. Pitch and link.

10. DAL - Ben DiNucci being prepped for start

Source: NFL Network - Jane Slater

Dallas Cowboys QB Ben DiNucci is being prepared to start in Week 8 with QB Andy Dalton (concussion) in the concussion protocol, according to offensive coordinator Kellen Moore Monday, Oct. 26.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Cowboys are not expected to sign a free agent quarterback with Andy Dalton in the concussion protocol. DiNucci has a gunslinger's mentality and will take plenty of chances with the football.

11. DEN - WR Tim Patrick considered day to day

Source: DNVR Sports - Zac Stevens

Denver Broncos WR Tim Patrick (hamstring) is day to day due to a hamstring issue, according to head coach Vic Fangio Monday, Oct. 26.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Patrick has been one of the few bright spots in the Broncos passing game this year. If healthy, Patrick is a big-bodied target who is a favorite of QB Drew Lock. If he has to miss time then perhaps the Broncos will finally start featuring 2020 first-round pick Jerry Jeudy more in the offense.

12. JAX - WR Dede Westbrook's season may be over

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Dede Westbrook (knee) is feared to have suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in Week 7. He'll have an MRI Monday, Oct. 26, to confirm.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Westbrook was injured on a kick return and hasn't done much (one catch, four yards) as a receiver this year. The Jaguars passing game is all about DJ Chark, Laviska Shenault, and Keelan Cole.

13. LAC - TE Virgil Green to miss multiple weeks

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Los Angeles Chargers TE Virgil Green (ankle) is a candidate to go on the Reserve/Injured list after suffering a lateral ankle sprain in Week 7, according to a source. X-rays were negative, but Green will miss several weeks and should return later this season.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We could see Green on IR in the near future. The Chargers have Hunter Henry as their lead tight end and with Green out we should see more from former XFL star Donald Parham like we did on Sunday.

14. TB - WR Antonio Brown deal becoming official

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Antonio Brown's deal is likely to be official Monday, Oct. 26, and he'll clear COVID-19 protocol later in the week. Due to his suspension, he can enter the team's facility, but he can't practice.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Brown with the Buccaneers just seems like an unfair advantage. They're already stacked at the wide receiver position with guys like Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Even Scott Miller is playing well, so that makes Brown a luxury addition and great insurance at the position in case someone is (more) banged up. Brown is an interesting flex play with upside in this high-powered offense.

15. DEN - RB Phillip Lindsay in concussion protocol

Source: Denver7 - Troy Renck

Denver Broncos RB Phillip Lindsay (concussion) remains in the concussion protocol as of Monday, Oct. 26.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Lindsay was knocked out of the Chiefs game but he looked pretty good before that big hit. He'll go through the protocol this week and if cleared should be out there against the Chargers in Week 8.

16. JAX - RB Ryquell Armstead likely out for season

Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Ryquell Armstead (illness) is likely out for the season due to complications from COVID-19.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Armstead has been hospitalized twice and has suffered from a variety of complications connected to the virus, including significant respiratory issues, and has been hit harder than some expected.

17. NYJ - WR Breshad Perriman in concussion protocol

Source: New York Post - Brian Costello

New York Jets WR Breshad Perriman (concussion) was placed on the concussion protocol Monday, Oct. 26.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Perriman has flashed this year for the Jets but he's also been banged up. He'll have to work his way through the protocol before he's cleared to play.
