Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook (groin) is not expected to play in Week 6 due to an adductor strain, according to a source.

It doesn't sound like Cook is going to go on IR due to this injury. The Vikings have a Week 7 bye, and he'll be re-evaluated after that. In the meantime, the team can turn to Alexander Mattison as their starter.

7. ATL - Owner doesn't commit to QB Matt Ryan

Source: ESPN.com - Vaughn McClure

Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Ryan has a fan in team owner Arthur Blank, although the owner said Monday, Oct. 12 that Ryan's future depends on the team's new head coach and general manager and what Ryan wants to do moving forward.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

That may be painful for some Falcons fans out there, but this is the correct approach for Blank. A new head coach and GM may not want to be saddled with a veteran quarterback. Ryan could be considered a 'bridge' quarterback to the next guy for the new regime. He has a cap number of $40.9 million next year, along with a salary of $23 million...so getting rid of him is going to be complicated. Stay tuned.

8. HOU - RB Duke Johnson in line for bigger role?

Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson

Houston Texans RB Duke Johnson 'might be the guy who shows up more in the receiving game and running game' in Week 6, according to interim head coach Romeo Crennel.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Some in the fantasy community have been waiting for this to happen. We'll see if it can actually come to fruition. Johnson has always been capable of playing a larger role if called upon. Fantasy GMs can grab and stash him but only in leagues that have deep benches.

9. PIT - WR Diontae Johnson expected to practice soon

Source: DKPittsburghSports.com - Dale Lolley

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Diontae Johnson (back) is expected to be limited in practice to begin the week, but his back injury should not keep him out of practice, according to comments made by head coach Mike Tomlin.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Johnson only played six snaps in Week 5 before leaving with a back injury. He has a ton of talent but Johnson's 2020 season has been derailed by multiple injuries. Johnson will be limited but will have a chance to play in Week 6.
