1. GB - WR Davante Adams does not practice

Source: Packers.com

Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams (hamstring) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 23.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Packers are being wisely cautious with their star receiver here. We'll see if he can practice on Friday, even if it's a limited participation. Adams status for Week 3 is unknown at this time, but the hamstring injury was thought to be minor. Stay tuned.

2. TB - WR Chris Godwin practices in full

Source: Buccaneers.com

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin (concussion) practiced in full Wednesday, Sept. 23.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

That's a good sign for Godwin's availability. He should be out there against the Broncos on Sunday.

3. NO - No practice for WR Michael Thomas

Source: NewOrleansSaints.com

New Orleans Saints WR Michael Thomas (ankle) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 23.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Get used to this report. It's going to be a bit before we see Thomas back out there unless there is some miracle recovery.

4. LAC - QB Tyrod Taylor update

Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Updating previous reports, Los Angeles Chargers QB Tyrod Taylor (lung) suffered a punctured lung while receiving a pain-killing injection Sunday, Sept. 20.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This is a big injury that will keep Taylor out some time. That means 2020 first-round pick Justin Herbert is in line to start again in Week 3. This injury could cause Taylor to miss more time than just a week, so Herbert could be the starter in the near future.

5. SF - QB Nick Mullens likely to start

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

San Francisco 49ers QB Nick Mullens is likely to start in place of QB Jimmy Garoppolo (ankle) in Week 3.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

No surprise here. Mullens is a quarterback the team has believed in for some time. He's a good game manager who can run the system as designed. The 49ers have been ravaged by injuries on both sides of the ball, so Mullens isn't a great fantasy option ...even in start-2QB leagues.

6. PHI - Jalen Reagor has torn ligament in thumb

Source: The Athletic - Zach Berman

Philadelphia Eagles WR Jalen Reagor (thumb) is dealing with a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his thumb.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Eagles WR corps just can't catch a break. NBC Sports Philly's John Clark reports the "hope" is that Reagor will be back after the Eagles' Week 9 bye. The team will get WR Alshon Jeffery back soon from his foot injury, but for now they'll roll forward with DeSean Jackson, JJ Arcega-Whiteside, Greg Ward, and John Hightower.

7. BUF - No practice for Zack Moss

Source: BuffaloBills.com - Chris Brown

Buffalo Bills RB Zack Moss (toe) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 23.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This is a new injury for Moss. Fantasy GMs need to keep an eye on this situation. He's been working behind Devin Singletary as the Bills split touches almost 60/40 in favor of Singletary. If Moss has to miss time, then Singletary will get a larger role and could post RB2 numbers.

8. TEN - TE Jonnu Smith misses practice

Source: TitansOnline.com - Jim Wyatt

Tennessee Titans TE Jonnu Smith (ankle) didn't participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 23.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Smith could tear it up against the Vikings on Sunday. Make sure he's practicing at the end of the week. Fantasy GMs can start him as a TE1 if he plays in Week 3.

9. MIA - RB Matt Breida on track to play

Source: The Miami Herald - Adam H. Beasley

Miami Dolphins RB Matt Breida (ankle) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 23, and is not on the injury report for Week 3.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Dolphins use three and four running backs...and Breida is third on that list. Fantasy GMs have no need to hang onto him until something with his role changes.

10. LVR - RB Josh Jacobs sits out practice

Source: Raiders.com

Las Vegas Raiders RB Josh Jacobs (hip) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 23.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jacobs is getting quite the workload from the Raiders to start the season. Sounds about right for Jon Gruden who ran Cadillac Williams into the ground with the Buccaneers years ago. Jacobs is hopefully more durable than Williams. The team is being mindful here with his hip injury. Check back to make sure he practices on Friday.

11. LVR - TE Darren Waller not on the field

Source: Raiders.com

Las Vegas Raiders TE Darren Waller (knee) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 23.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Waller was huge for the Raiders on Monday Night Football against the Saints. The team is being cautious with him here and we should see him practice fully on Friday. Keep an eye on this situation to make sure Waller gets that work in by the end of the week.

12. LVR - Henry Ruggs takes part in practice

Source: Raiders.com

Las Vegas Raiders WR Henry Ruggs III (knee) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 23.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

You can see flashes with Ruggs over the first couple of games. If at full strength, Ruggs can be a big-time weapon for the Raiders offense. Fully participating on Wednesday is a good sign for his condition.

13. NYJ - WR Jamison Crowder out of practice

Source: SNY - Ralph Vacchiano

New York Jets WR Jamison Crowder (hamstring) didn't participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 23.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Crowder may get to practice later in the week. It doesn't really matter for Fantasy GMs right now with the way the Jets are playing. If healthy, Crowder is more of a WR4/deep flex type.

14. NYJ - No practice for WR Breshad Perriman

Source: SNY - Ralph Vacchiano

New York Jets WR Breshad Perriman (ankle) didn't participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 23.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Perriman is going to miss some time and Fantasy GMs who did have him in deeper leagues have moved on.

15. DEN - Jerry Jeudy gets in limited practice

Source: Buccaneers.com

Denver Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy (ribs) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Sept. 23.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The team needs Jeudy now more than ever without Courtland Sutton. Jeudy has the skill to be a no.1 wide receiver and will get the chance now.

16. SF - Limited practice for TE George Kittle

Source: 49ers.com

San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle (knee) was limited during practice Wednesday, Sept. 23.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Kittle is trying to make it back out there for Week 3. We'll see if he can practice on Friday. If Kittle doesn't play, Jordan Reed will get the start and have plenty of fantasy relevance.

17. PIT - WR JuJu Smith-Schuster misses practice

Source: Steelers.com - Teresa Varley

Pittsburgh Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 23.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This was the same story last Wednesday with Smith-Schuster and he played against the Broncos. Wait until Friday to see what his practice status is.

18. ATL - WR Julio Jones doesn't practice Wednesday

Source: ESPN.com - Vaughn McClure

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (hamstring) didn't participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 23.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jones only caught a couple of catches last week and seemed to injury his hamstring on a pass that should've been a touchdown. We'll see what his practice status is later in the week. Falcons OC Dirk Koetter said he believes there's "more to Julio Jones' hamstring injury than he led on."

19. DEN - QB Drew Lock avoids IR

Source: The Denver Post - Ryan O'Halloran

Denver Broncos QB Drew Lock (shoulder) will not be placed on the Reserve/Injured list because there is a chance that Lock has a quicker recovery than expected.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Good news for the young quarterback here. He's going to miss Week 3 against the Buccaneers and the Broncos play on Thursday night against the Jets in Week 4. That means the earliest we could see him is Week 5 against the Patriots. The Broncos will have Jeff Driskel (backed up by Blake Bortles) on the field as the starter while Lock is out.

20. CAR - RB Christian McCaffrey to IR

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Carolina Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey (ankle) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Wednesday, Sept. 23.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Reports indicated McCaffrey was given a 4-6 week timetable, so going to Injured Reserve is not a surprise. McCaffrey will be out at least three games with this designation. The Panthers turn to Mike Davis as their lead back and Fantasy GMs can consider him a RB3 or flex option.

21. SF - RB Tevin Coleman headed to IR

Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

San Francisco 49ers RB Tevin Coleman (knee) is likely headed to the Reserve/Injured list with a knee injury that's likely to keep him out for four weeks, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Coleman is banged up and so is lead back Raheem Mostert. That means the 49ers will lean on Jerick McKinnon and Jeffery Wilson in Week 3 against the Giants.
