1. TB - WR Chris Godwin sits out practice Wednesday

Source: Buccaneers.com

Updating a previous story, Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin (concussion) didn't practice Wednesday, Sept. 16, while going through the concussion protocol.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We'll see if he can make it through concussion protocol this week. His practice status on Friday is the most important to watch. We'll wait and see until then.

2. TB - WR Mike Evans limited Wednesday

Source: Buccaneers.com

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (hamstring) was limited in practice Wednesday, Sept. 16.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Evans played in Week 1 and he didn't look quite like himself. The team should limit him while he still deals with this hamstring injury. So long as there is no setback, Evans should be out there for Week 2.

3. NO - WR Michael Thomas out until Week 7?

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

New Orleans Saints WR Michael Thomas (ankle) could be out until after the Week 6 bye, but he's going to push to get back sooner.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We'll see if the Saints want to get Thomas on Injured Reserve. The new IR rules mean he would have to miss three weeks if put on the list.

4. PHI - RB Miles Sanders practices in full

Source: PhiladelphiaEagles.com

Philadelphia Eagles RB Miles Sanders (hamstring) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 16.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fantasy GMs are hopeful that Sanders can get out there in Week 2. If he does end up playing against the Rams then we see him as a RB2 with upside.

5. PHI - WR Alshon Jeffery sits again

Source: PhiladelphiaEagles.com

Philadelphia Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery (foot) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 16.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jeffery is unlikely to play for a few more weeks. He's coming back from Lisfranc surgery but the team feels he should be back before Week 7.

6. PIT - RB James Conner misses practice

Source: Steelers.com - Teresa Varley

Pittsburgh Steelers RB James Conner (ankle) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 16.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Mike Tomlin said they would 'leave the light on' for Conner. Benny Snell should be the lead back against the Broncos in Week 2. We consider him a RB2 against a Broncos defense that is easier to pass on than run on.

7. SF - TE George Kittle to miss practice

Source: NBC Sports Bay Area - Matt Maiocco

San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle (knee) will not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 16.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Kyle Shanahan said that Kittle would not practice all week long. However, there is still a chance Kittle plays in Week 2 against the Jets. If he's out there, we recommend playing him as you normally would...even though he won't be at full strength.

8. TEN - WR A.J. Brown puts in limited practice

Source: ESPN.com - Turron Davenport

Tennessee Titans WR A.J. Brown (knee) was limited in practice Wednesday, Sept. 16.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Keep an eye on Brown's status as the week goes on. He was not as productive as Corey Davis in the season opener. We'll feel better about him if he can practice fully on Friday.

9. PIT - WR JuJu Smith-Schuster sits out Wednesday

Source: Steelers.com - Teresa Varley

Pittsburgh Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 16.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Smith-Schuster will need to get a full practice in on Friday if he can. The Broncos secondary is not good and they're now missing no.1 CB A.J. Bouye with a shoulder injury. That means Smith-Schuster could go off on the Broncos in Week 2.

10. DET - WR Kenny Golladay doesn't practice Wednesday

Source: Packers.com

Updating a previous story, Detroit Lions WR Kenny Golladay (hamstring) didn't practice Wednesday, Sept. 16.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Golladay did not play in Week 1 and we don't know yet if he'll be out there for Week 2. Watch for his status on Friday.

11. DEN - CB A.J. Bouye hits IR

Source: DenverBroncos.com - Aric DiLalla

Updating a previous story, Denver Broncos CB A.J. Bouye (shoulder) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Wednesday, Sept. 16. DB De'Vante Bausby was promoted from the practice squad to the active roster in a corresponding move.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Broncos have an iffy (at best) group of cornerbacks without Bouye. Keep this in mind when picking your fantasy starters. Up next for Denver's defense? The Steelers passing game which looked on point in Week 1.

12. IND - RB Marlon Mack placed on IR

Source: Colts.com

Indianapolis Colts RB Marlon Mack (Achilles) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Wednesday, Sept. 16. The team also signed practice squad WR Daurice Fountain to their active roster. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

A terrible injury for Mack and his season is likely done. The Colts move forward with a backfield featuring both Nyheim Hines and rookie Jonathan Taylor.

13. CHI - TE Jimmy Graham rests Wednesday

Source: ChicagoBears.com

Chicago Bears TE Jimmy Graham (non-injury) didn't participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 16.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Graham was out there as a consistent target for Mitchell Trubisky in Week 1. He was targeted seven times but only came down with three catches...with one of those being a touchdown. The veteran is not the same player he used to be and his fantasy production is going to be dependent on how many times he gets into the end zone. Consider Graham a TE2 in Week 2.

14. DEN - KJ Hamler puts in full practice

Source: DenverBroncos.com - Aric DiLalla

Denver Broncos WR KJ Hamler (hamstring) practiced in full Wednesday, Sept. 16.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hamler could be out there for the Broncos this weekend against the Steelers. The speedy rookie was out in Week 1 due to this hamstring injury. A full practice on Wednesday is a good sign for his availability. Hamler would be worth a 'what the heck' flex as the Broncos are going to have to pass to beat the Steelers.

15. LVR - More to come for Henry Ruggs III?

Source: ESPN.com - Paul Gutierrez

Las Vegas Raiders WR Henry Ruggs III (knee) recorded all 66 of his offensive yards prior to tweaking his knee at the end of first half against the Carolina Panthers in Week 1.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We'll see what Ruggs can do when healthy for a full game. He's got speed, speed and more speed to his game. Ruggs can get by defenders in the blink of an eye and is a threat to score from anywhere on the field.

16. HOU - WR Brandin Cooks limited Wednesday

Source: HoustonTexans.com

Houston Texans WR Brandin Cooks (quadriceps) was limited during practice Wednesday, Sept. 16.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Let's see if Cooks can get healthy and practice fully towards the end of the week. He played through the injury in the season opener and did not look good. Against the Ravens in Week 2, Cooks is best left on your bench.

17. MIA - WR DeVante Parker listed as limited

Source: MiamiDolphins.com

Miami Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (hamstring) was limited during practice Wednesday, Sept. 16.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We'll see if Parker can fully participate by Friday. If Parker misses time then Preston Williams could get some more targets.

18. KC - Clyde Edwards-Helaire tough to tackle

Source: ESPN.com - Adam Teicher

Kansas City Chiefs RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire averaged 2.68 yards after contact against the Houston Texans in Week 1.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Edwards-Helaire is tough to bring down because he's built low to the ground and that low center of gravity helps him keep his balance. Add in the fact that teams are spread out against the Chiefs, and you can see why the rookie first-round pick is tough to bring down.

19. DEN - WR Courtland Sutton officially limited

Source: DenverBroncos.com - Aric DiLalla

Updating a previous story, Denver Broncos WR Courtland Sutton (shoulder) was officially limited in practice Wednesday, Sept. 16.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Sutton was out there for individual drills. He was not expected to be out there for team drills. The team wants to see if he can get better as the week goes on. Sutton missed Week 1 due to this shoulder injury but could be out there against the Steelers in Week 2.

20. MIA - WR Preston Williams takes part in practice

Source: MiamiDolphins.com

Miami Dolphins WR Preston Williams (knee) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 17.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Williams may get more targets than some think due to DeVante Parker being banged up. He's not even one year from the injury that cut his rookie season to just eight games in 2019. The fact that he can play and fully participate in practice is a good sign.

21. DEN - RB Phillip Lindsay doesn't practice Wednesday

Source: DenverBroncos.com - Aric DiLalla

Denver Broncos RB Phillip Lindsay (toe) didn't practice Wednesday, Sept. 16.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Lindsay is getting a second opinion on his turf toe injury. The buzz is that he could miss more than a week or two. That means we could see a lot of Melvin Gordon while Lindsay is recovering.
