1. CLE - WR Odell Beckham Jr. committed to playing

Source: Akron Beacon Journal - Nate Ulrich

Cleveland Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. does not plan to opt-out of the 2020 season after making comments last month on his YouTube channel and again to the Wall Street Journal about the sensibility of playing through a pandemic.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Beckham wants to have a bounce-back season just like most all of the Browns players. With an improved offensive line, a premier rushing attack and QB Baker Mayfield playing better we should see better numbers from Beckham. He's a low-end WR1 for Fantasy GMs with a current ADP of WR10 (3.09) in 12-team PPR leagues.

2. 49ers I San Francisco lands TE Jordan Reed

Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Free-agent TE Jordan Reed (Washington) reportedly agreed to an incentive-laden, one-year contract with the San Francisco 49ers on Monday, Aug. 3. Financial terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Reed gives the 49ers plenty of veteran experience as a reserve at the tight end position. He'll work as a backup to George Kittle and likely won't see that much playing time or that many targets. Perhaps that would keep him healthy with his new team, something he struggled with as a starter for Washington.

3. NYJ - WR Quincy Enunwa released

Source: New York Daily News - Manish Mehta

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa was released Monday, Aug. 3.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

No surprise here as the veteran receiver was put on the PUP list back in May. Enunwa has made just 12 NFL appearances since the end of the 2016 season. It will be difficult for him to latch on with a new team at this point in his career.

4. BUF - Brian Winters joining Bills

Free-agent OG Brian Winters (Jets) agreed to terms with the Buffalo Bills Monday, Aug. 3, according to a source. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Winters wasn't without a home for long as the Bills quickly added him to the OL.

5. MIN - Rick Spielman lands three-year extension

Source: Minneapolis Star Tribune - Ben Goessling

Minnesota Vikings general manager Rick Spielman reportedly signed a three-year contract extension to remain with the team in his current role through the end of the 2023 season on Monday, Aug. 3. Financial terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Vikings have QB Kirk Cousins locked up for a few years, head coach Mike Zimmer just signed an extension through 2023 so now it's time for Spielman to get his. In eight seasons in this role, Spielman's team has won 72 games and have the foundation to make them a championship contender for years to come.

6. LVR - DT P.J. Hall released

Source: ESPN.com

Las Vegas Raiders DT P.J. Hall will be released Monday, Aug. 3, two years after selecting him in the second round of the NFL draft.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hall was a dominant player in college at the FCS level during his time at Sam Houston State. He was trending in the right direction for the Raiders, starting 12 games in 2019 but the team decided to make a change. They signed defensive tackle Maliek Collins this offseason, a move that likely caused this transaction. Hall should get a chance with a new team in the near future.

7. DEN - Ja'Wuan James opts out

Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis

Denver Broncos OT Ja'Wuan James opted out of the 2020 season, according to a source.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This is a big blow to the Broncos offensive line. James barely played last year as he battled a knee injury. The Broncos were going to have Eli Wilkinson battle Garett Bolles for the starting left tackle job but he's now going to have to start on the right side -- thus, locking Bolles into the left side starter. Mike Munchak is a great offensive line coach and he's got his work cut out for him again in Denver.

8. WAS - Team to sign WR Dontrelle Inman

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Free-agent WR Dontrelle Inman (Colts) is expected to sign with the Washington Football Team Monday, Aug. 3, pending a physical.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The veteran receiver split 2019 between the Charger and the Colts catching 12 passes for 181 yards combined in seven games. When healthy, Inman still has good size and the speed to be a threat down the field. He's competing for a reserve roster spot with Washington and is no lock for the 53-man roster.

9. MIA - WR Preston Williams cleared

Source: The Miami Herald - Adam H. Beasley

Miami Dolphins WR Preston Williams (knee) has been cleared for football activities, according to head coach Brian Flores. 'He's running and lifting,' Flores said. He needs to learn new, small things in the offense, according to Flores.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

More good news for the Dolphins here. Williams looked really good last year as a rookie before going down with a knee injury in Week 8. In 2019, Williams had the second most targets among Dolphins WRs and third most on the team as a whole, despite missing half the season. This year, Williams has upside as a late-round stash for your bench. His current ADP is WR56 (13.05) in 12-team PPR leagues.

10. NE - Pats interested in TE Delanie Walker

Source: NESN.com - Zack Cox

Free-agent TE Delanie Walker (Titans) has received interest from the New England Patriots.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We could see Walker latching on with a team like the Patriots. The veteran may not be the player he used to be, but he could provide veteran depth for a young tight end room like the Patriots have. They've got two rookies (Devin Asiasi, Dalton Keene) who are competing in camp to establish a pecking order this season.

11. SEA - TE Will Dissly making good progress

Source: NBC Sports Northwest - Joe Fann

Seattle Seahawks TE Will Dissly (Achilles) is making good progress in his recovery but will be eased back into practice, according to head coach Pete Carroll. Dissly passed his physical at the start of training camp.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Dissly has certainly flashed talent in his pro career. However, he's just appeared in 10 games (scoring six touchdowns) in two seasons. Injuries have prevented Dissly from playing up to his full potential. The Seahawks have added veteran Greg Olsen this offseason to lead the way at the position. Dissly is a high-value reserve for the team but has limited fantasy value for 2020. He's a good dynasty prospect if healthy and starting...so long as this latest injury doesn't rob him of too much athleticism.
