Asante Samuel lands on IR

Los Angeles Chargers CB Asante Samuel Jr. (shoulder) was placed on injured reserve on Saturday, Oct. 12. Also, LB Nick Niemann was activated off injured reserve and S Tony Jefferson was promoted from the practice squad to the active roster.

Los Angeles Chargers CB Asante Samuel Jr. (shoulder) and CB Ja'Sir Taylor (leg) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 11, and have been ruled out for Week 6. LB Joey Bosa (hip), CB Deane Leonard (hamstring) and OT Rashawn Slater (pectoral) were limited during practice and are listed as questionable. CB Kristian Fulton (knee) and LB Nick Niemann (hamstring) fully participated in practice but are listed as questionable. OT Joe Alt (knee), LB Junior Colson (hamstring), PK Cameron Dicker (illness), LB Daiyan Henley (shoulder), TE Hayden Hurst (Achilles), S Derwin James (non-injury), LB Khalil Mack (non-injury) and LB Denzel Perryman (shoulder) fully participated in practice and are not on the injury report.
