TOP STACKS
Tampa Bay Buccaneers -- QB Jameis Winston ($7,500) and WR Mike Evans ($6,900)
The safest quarterback with the most upside each week continues to be whoever is playing the New Orleans Saints and the trend continues again this week with Jameis Winston getting the Saints at home. They did square off in Week 2 and Winston was 14 of 21 passing for 207 yards and a touchdown and also rushed 6 times for 23 more yards and a touchdown. Winston has been rather consistant all season long as he has at least a touchdown pass or run in each game so far this season. The past 3 games he actually has 7 passing touchdowns and another rushing touchdown and he has been playing some of his best football of the season. In that 3 game period he has passed to Mike Evans 14 times for 188 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 24 targets. Winston will be once again looking in Evans direction for about 7-10 targets this week and if the Saints happen to keep this game on the close side the Buccaneers passing offense would likely benefit even more.
New York Jets -- QB Ryan Fitzpatrick ($7,300) and WR Brandon Marshall ($7,700)
The Jets passing offense has been legit all season long with Fitzpatrick under center. He has a pair of very good wide receivers in Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker and continues to throw touchdowns to both of them no matter the matchup. Well this week the matchup is even better than normal with a home game against the Tennessee Titans. Fitzpatrick has 22 passing touchdowns on the season and 2 more on the ground and has 12 total touchdowns over the past 5 games and seems to be on a very good roll right now. WR Brandon Marshall has caught nearly half of Fitzpatrick's touchdowns this season with 10. Marshall now has 130 targets on the season for a 83/1062/10 stat line with 4 games to go. Over the past 5 games when Fitzpatrick has been putting up big numbers, so has Marshall as he has 52 targets for 33 receptions, 376 yards and 6 touchdowns. It is hard to not see the two connecting for another big game as a touchdown is almost gaurenteed in this one.
Jacksonville Jaguars -- QB Blake Bortles ($7,800) and WR Allen Robinson ($7,600)
Blake Bortles currently has 3,274 passing yards, 27 passing touchdowns and 244 rushing yards on the season with 4 games remaining. The numbers have been great for Bortles this season as he has scored at least a touchdown in every game this season and only 3 games out of the 12 he has had only 1 touchdown pass. The past two games he has passed for 651 yards and 7 touchdowns against the Chargers and the Titans and this week it is another soft defensive matchup against the Colts secondary. A lot of Bortles success this season has to be credited to the emergence of WR Allen Robinson who has burst onto the scene with 65 catches for 1,080 yards and 11 touchdowns. Robinson has had 3 multi touchdown games this season and since Week 1 he has caught at least 4 passes and 51 yards in the past 11 games. The Bortles to Robinson connection is in full effect once again this week and they have to be one of the top stacks on the weekend.
VALUE STACKS
Kansas City Chiefs -- QB Alex Smith ($6,200) and WR Jeremy Maclin ($6,900)
Alex Smith often gets the tag of game manager at the quarterback position and rightfully so as he now plays in the Andy Reid system and mistakes are always looked down upon. So far in 2015, Smith has thrown for 2,843 yards with 14 touchdowns and only 3 interceptions. Smith has not thrown an interceptions in the teams last 9 games and in that stretch the Chiefs have gone 6-3 with winning their last 6 games straight. Last season the Chiefs were often knocked for not throwing a single touchdown to a receiver all season long so they went out and spent some big money on Jeremy Maclin and it has paid off as Smith and and Maclin have connected for 66 receptions, 867 yards and 5 touchdowns. Maclin has been hot the past two games with 21 targets coming his way for 18 receptions, 255 yards and 3 touchdowns. This week the matchup is decent once again against a Chargers team that continues to struggle on both sides of the ball.
New York Jets -- QB Russell Wilson ($8,100) and WR Doug Baldwin ($5,800)
Although Wilson's price is a tad bit expensive at $8,100, his WR Doug Baldwin at only $5,800 makes pairing the two together a combined very nice price for the production the two have been giving lately. Wilson has 3,475 passing yards and 20 passing touchdown on the season to go along with 849 rushing yards and 6 rushing touchdowns. Wilson is a fantasy QB in every sense of the word and can give you points with both his arm or his legs. Doug Baldwin is on a bit of a tear with Wilson over the last few weeks as the past 4 games the duo have connected for 24 receptions, 433 yards and 6 touchdowns. At only $5,800 it is hard to ignore Baldwin this week against a very bad Ravens secondary.
FADES
Quarterback -- Derek Carr, Oakland Raiders ($7,800)
The Broncos are a tough defense to play against and I suspect that Derek Carr will be swarmed by the Broncos defensive line all game long which will result in some costly mistakes and turnovers. Carr has had a very productive season to date with 3,178 passing yards and 26 touchdowns but he has also thrown 9 interceptions and 3 alone last week against the Chiefs. Look for the Broncos to get Carr into pressure situations and for him to make an error of two and possibly more if the Broncos can jump out to an early lead. When the teams met back in Week 5, Carr threw for 249 yards and had both a touchdown and an interception.
Running Back -- Darren McFadden, Dallas Cowboys ($6,300)
The Cowboys kept their playoff hopes alive with a big win over Washington on Monday Night but now they draw a road matchup against the Green Bay Packers and things are going to be tough for them. Although the Packers defense hasn't been the best and the Cowboys are without Tony Romo, the Cowboys just don't have the weapons to move the ball up and down the field and Darren McFadden has actually been one of their better players on offense so far this season. Look for the Packers to take McFadden out of the game early and make the Cowboys beat them with their passing game.
Wide Receiver -- Kamar Aiken, Baltimore Ravens ($4,600)
Kamar Aiken has almost been force fed into a productive season because of injuries and not depth at the WR postion. He has 87 targets on the season for 49/584/4 stat line and although the numbers are fair the matchup against the Seahawks is not a good one this week. The $4,600 price looks nice on paper to help fill in your WR3/flex spot but the matchup on the field is just not worth it.
Tight End -- Luke Wilson, Seattle Seahawks ($3,700)
Jimmy Graham was sent to IR last week and Luke Wilson took over as the teams leading TE and what that amounted to was 3 targets for 2 catches and 36 yards for his second best game of the season. Wilson is not worth a look this week even with the starting TE role right in front of him.
Defense and Special Teams -- Cincinnati Bengals ($2,600)
The Bengals defense has been solid all season long but this week you have to throw everything out the window with the Steelers offense coming to town as they have been one of the highest scoring offenses in recent history. This game could end up in a back and forth battle from both offenses and you want to steer clear of the defenses in this one.
