TOP STACKS
Jacksonville Jaguars -- QB Blake Bortles ($7,400) and WR Allen Robinson ($7,700)
Blake Bortles and Allen Robinson have been a great duo over the first half of the 2015 season. Bortles himself has 17 touchdowns through 8 games with 2,193 passing yards and can also add value with his legs as he has 178 rushing yards on the ground. 6 of his 17 touchdown passes have went to the emerging WR talent in Allen Robinson who has 4 touchdowns over the past 4 games and 25 receptions in that time frame. The matchup against the Ravens is a fantastic one this week and if Allen Hurns is injured or limited it will be Bortles continuing to look heavily in the direction of Robinson. Robinson has been targeted 80 times in 8 games good for 40 catches and 707 receiving yards.
Green Bay Packers -- QB Aaron Rodgers ($8,800) and WR Randall Cobb ($7,500)
Aaron Rodgers continues to show why he is a top QB in the NFL while putting up impressive stats over 8 games. He has thrown for 1,937 passing yards and has 19 touchdown passes and only 3 interceptions. In a home divisional matchup against a struggling Lions defense he has potential at a 3+ touchdown performance and usually when he has multi touchdown games he has a connection with Randall Cobb. The preseason injury to Jordy Nelson seemed to be a sure bet that Randall Cobb would be a top ten WR in the league but although he has been good he hasn't lived up to that level quite yet. This could be the week that Cobb finally breaks out and he is always a threat for a multi score game.
Carolina Panthers -- QB Cam Newton ($8,300) and TE Greg Olsen ($6,800)
Cam Newton has put the Carolina Panthers on his back so far this season and when the Panthers are in need of a big play he often delievers with either his arm or his legs. He has 1,820 passing yards and 14 passing touchdowns on the season and another 5 rushing touchdowns with 343 rushing yards that only boast his fantasy value. 5 of his 14 passing touchdowns have went to his top target in TE Greg Olsen as he has collected 37 catches for 584 yards and 5 touchdowns. With the Panthers on the road against the Titans this week, it could be a nice spot for Newton and Olsen to continue to pad the stat sheet and find the endzone once again. Olsen has his 5 touchdowns in the past 6 games and has been rolling for the Panthers.
VALUE STACKS
Washington -- QB Kirk Cousins ($4,900) and WR Pierre Garcon ($6,000)
There is not a great deal to love about Kirk Cousins other than his cheap salary of $4,900. He has delivered with a touchdown in every game he has played this season but only 2 out of the 8 games he has had a multi touchdown performance. Trying to stack a receiver with Cousins you can either look to Jordan Reed or WR Pierre Garcon. Garcon has seen plenty of targets this season with 65 for a decent statline of 41/420/3. This week Washington has a nice home matchup against the Saints and the Cousins to Garcon connection should benefit from the matchup.
Baltimore Ravens -- QB Joe Flacco ($5,700) and Kamar Aiken ($5,100)
This Jacksonville vs Baltimore matchup looks like it might be a higher scoring contest and one that has value on both sides. Flacco certainly hasn't been great this season but to his defense the entire Ravens offense has not been great. Flacco has 13 touchdowns on the season with limited WRs to throw the ball to. With Steve Smith out the Ravens have to look to the likes of Kamar Aiken to pick up the slack. Aiken did catch all 6 of his targets in Week 8 for 62 yards and does have a couple of touchdowns on the season. With a Jaguars matchup this week the odds of a Flacco to Aiken touchdown have to be bright and at the price tags it might be a nice stack to consider.
FADES
Quarterback -- Marcus Mariota, Tennessee Titans ($6,700)
Mariota is coming off his best game as an NFL QB with 371 passing yards and 4 touchdowns and telling someone to fade a QB a week after posting those kind of numbers somewhat seems silly. Well the Titans have a tough matchup in the Panthers who could look to exploit the rookie QB and if they get a lead they will likely be bringing extra pressure to Mariota.
Running Back -- Lamar Miller, Miami Dolphins ($7,500)
Lamar Miller has scored a touchdown in 4 straight games before he started the year with 0 scores in the first 4 games. Miller is on a roll right now but he draws a tough test against an Eagles defensive line that has excelled at stopping the run all season. Miller has only rushed for more than 10 attempts 4 times this season and in a game that could be more of an air show he might be a nice fade to consider while others are looking at his recent success.
Wide Receiver -- Tavon Austin, St Louis Rams ($6,600)
Tavon Austin has been a pleasant surprise to fantasy owners this season with his 4 touchdowns receiving and his 2 rushing touchdowns. He has 207 rushing yards and another 300 receiving and he also returns kicks. He relies on the big plays for his production and in a game against the Bears he might have some opportunity to deliver but he also could be an after thought as the Rams will most likely rely on Todd Gurley and the running game.
Tight End -- Ben Watson, New Orleans Saints ($4,600)
Watson comes at a cheap price which will draw attention to him and people will automatically insert him into their lineup on that alone. Drew Brees has been very productive the past few weeks and Watson has been one of his go to guys. I would rather pay up for a higher priced TE this week and not follow the field on a guy like Watson just because of his low salary.
Defense and Special Teams -- Baltimore Ravens ($2,200)
I am predicting the Ravens and Jaguars to have a back and forth high scoring game and the mighty Ravens defense is not what they used to be. Even at the low cost of $2,200 it is best to stay far away from the Ravens at this point in the season.
