Greetings, and welcome to the all-new Footballguys Draft Dominator for Windows! All that stands between you and dominating your league are a few technical know-hows. What follows are detailed instructions on how to download and install the Draft Dominator for your Windows desktop or laptop.
Note, that the pictures below were captured on a fully up to date Windows 10 operating system and may differ slightly from what you see based on your system. Windows 7 or higher is required to run the application.
Step 1
Head on over to the download page to select the appropriate version:
Here you’ll see the options for Windows 32bit and Windows 64bit.
If you already know which version to download, skip to Step 2. If you don’t, follow these instructions:
Go to your desktop and right-click on the “This PC” or “My Computer” icon and select “Properties” from the dropdown menu. This will take you to a screen that provides all the pertinent information about your computer, including operating system version.
If you don’t see the icon on your desktop, simply press the Windows key, or click start on the bottom left, and type out “system” in the search box. Select the option “System”. This will bring you to a page that looks like this:
Under System type you will see either 64-bit Operating System, or 32-bit Operating System (highlighted above in the red box). Now you know which version to download.
Step 2
Click either the 32-bit icon (for 32-bit operating systems), or 64-bit icon (for 64-bit operating systems) and choose to save it in a location that you will be able to easily find. Most browsers will default to the “downloads” folder but this can be changed. If you can’t find it after downloading, click the Start menu and simply type “dominator” in the search bar. This will locate the folder for you.
For 64-bit machines, the folder will be titled as “Dominator-win32-x64”. For 32-bit machines, it will be titled as “Dominator-win32-ia32”. Regardless of the version, you will need to unzip to extract the application before running it.
To do this, right-click on the folder, select “Extract All” from the dropdown menu, and click extract:
Windows should automatically extract everything into a new folder located in the same folder as the zipped file. For example, if you saved it in your downloads folder, the unzipped version will also be extracted to the downloads folder and will be titled exactly the same:
Open up the folder you just extracted by double-clicking on it. You will now see a long list of various items like this:
Step 3
Locate the file titled “Dominator” (highlighted above in the red box) and double-click on it. This will launch the app.
If you see a screen that looks like the one below, simply click on “more info” and select “run anyway” (you should only have to do this once).
That’s it! Now that Draft Dominator is up and running, you can log into your Footballguys subscription and be on your way to dominating your league!
(Note, the current version isn’t technically being installed on your machine. It is only being launched. It is fully functional, but there will be an update in the very near future that actually installs the software like most applications.)
