The dust has settled on free agency, and while the draft will shake things up again, we now have a pretty good idea of where each team stands. On the latest episode of Footballguys Fantasy Football Show, we broke down all 32 teams, tier by tier, and answered the biggest questions facing them heading into the NFL draft.
Tier 1: Ball Up Top. Run it Back.
1. Philadelphia Eagles
The most complete roster in football. They retained some key pieces while only losing a few players on defense. Plus, Howie Roseman is about to do his best work in the NFL Draft.
2. Baltimore Ravens
Lamar Jackson is always in the MVP race, but the offense's weapons (Derrick Henry, Mark Andrews, Deandre Hopkins) are aging. The defense will need to remain strong for them to finally break into the Super Bowl.
3. Buffalo Bills
Josh Allen continues to be a one-man wrecking crew. The addition of Joshua Palmer doesnt really send shockwaves across the NFL, but the core of this team has stayed together to run it back.

Tier 2: Contenders with Questions
4. Detroit Lions
This is no longer a feel-good story; Detroit is a legitimate Super Bowl contender. However, with Ben Johnson leaving to Chicago, the Lions will have ot prove that their high-powered offense can keep scoring points.
5. Kansas City Chiefs
They have Patrick Mahomes II and Andy Reid, so they’ll always be in the mix. But Travis Kelce did not look like himself last year, and the offensive line still has holes. More Mahomes "hero ball" is likely incoming.
6. Cincinnati Bengals
As long as Joe Burrow is healthy, they’re dangerous. But they have to find pass-rush help, and the offensive line still isn’t as strong as it should be.
7. Green Bay Packers
Josh Jacobs and the defense have the Packers in the NFC contender conversation, but they need to more consistent quarterback play from Jordan Love if they're going to be in a Super Bowl any time soon.
8. Washington Commanders
Jayden Daniels gives this team a true franchise quarterback, but the roster is around him still being formed. A few more playmakers like Deebo Samuel Sr. and a potential rookie like Luther Burden could push them toward serious contention.
9. Los Angeles Rams
The Rams are transitioning from the Cooper Kupp era to the Davante Adams era, and Stafford is still playing at a high level. If the defense holds up, they’ll be dangerous. Remember, they were really close to being in the Super Bowl last season.

Tier 3: Sneaky Good Wild Cards
10. Los Angeles Chargers
Jim Harbaugh and Justin Herbert have gone together perfectly, like Lamb and Tuna Fish - go watch 'Big Daddy' if you don't understand the reference. Now with the addition of Najee Harris, the team should see some more consistency in their run game.
11. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Baker Mayfield proved himself last year, and Tampa managed to keep the core intact. The Bucs are sneaky good.
12. Houston Texans
C.J. Stroud struggled last year, but much of that can be attributed to poor offensive line play, which has been addressed, and injuries at the receiver position, which seems to be a work in progress.
13. Dallas Cowboys
The roster is talented, but they once again lost key players in free agency along both sides of the line. Dak remains an underrated passer, but this team is scheduled to be mediocre once again without some reinforcements.
14. Minnesota Vikings
J.J. McCarthy is the future, but his (sorta) rookie season could be rocky. The Vikings have a great team around him, but this is still an inexperienced quarterback in a very tough division.
15. Denver Broncos
Sean Payton and Bo Nix looked great in year one, but can they avoid the sophomore slump? With the newly added Evan Engram playing the Joker role, we might see an improved Broncos passing attack in 2025.
16. San Francisco 49ers
They lost some starters, and the ones they did keep have been dealing with injuries. This roster has more question marks than sure things.
17. Chicago Bears
Caleb Williams brings excitement, but this is still a work in progress. The offensive line got major upgrades, but we still need consistency from Williams before we can call the Bears real contenders.
Tier 4: The World's Okayest Teams
18. Pittsburgh Steelers
There is no clear answer at quarterback, and once again, the defense will have to carry this team. If they land Aaron Rodgers, they'll likely jump a spot or two, but Mike Tomlin remains the world's most-okayest head coach.
19. Las Vegas Raiders
Pete Carroll and Chip Kelly are here to stabilize things, but this roster is a mess. This could be a temporary fix rather than a long-term solution. Get ready to watch Ashton Jeanty carry the ball 300 times.
20. Atlanta Falcons
If Michael Penix Jr. can take the next step, this team could get feisty, but the defense still has a lot of issues in the front seven.
21. Miami Dolphins
This team is boom-or-bust. If the offense stays healthy, they can compete with anyone, but the defense has major question marks - especially in the secondary.
22. Carolina Panthers
Bryce Young needs a true No. 1 receiver. Without better weapons, Year 3 might look a lot like Year 1.
23. New York Jets
Justin Fields gets a fresh start, but Fields hasn't proven that he can be a winning quarterback. This offensive line still isn’t built to keep its passer upright.
24. Arizona Cardinals
Kyler Murray and Marvin Harrison Jr. need to get on the same page to start winning games.
Tier 5: Just... No.
25. New England Patriots
Drake Maye is the future, but this roster is a mess. The offense lacks weapons, and the defense can’t carry them forever.
26. Seattle Seahawks
Sam Darnold is the bridge quarterback for a team that looks to be rebuilding with mild optimism. Buy the dip on Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
27 Jacksonville Jaguars
A disappointing offseason. They lost key pieces and didn’t do enough to replace them. Maybe the draft will provide reinforcements.
28. New Orleans Saints
Derek Carr isn’t the answer; this team could be in for a rebuild sooner rather than later.
29. Indianapolis Colts
It all comes down to Anthony Richardson’s development. If he stays on the field and improves as a passer, they have potential—but if not, this season could go off the rails quickly.
30. Cleveland Browns
Even with Shedeur Sanders at pick two, this team would be stuck in the mud.
31. New York Giants
There is no clear direction at quarterback, and the roster isn’t strong enough to compensate.
32. Tennessee Titans
Cam Ward might be the future, but this roster is barren. They’re in full rebuild mode.
