This series is a dynasty reaction to the 2025 NFL Draft. If you missed the first round, go check it out. This article will note the second round selections from round two. This article will assume Superflex leagues.
A quick reminder, there were nine relevant selections from the first round: two quarterbacks, two running backs, two tight ends, and three wide receivers. There were 11 relevant selections from the second round.
2.34 – Jayden Higgins, WR, Houston Texans
Houston did not re-sign Stefon Diggs, and Tank Dell’s 2025 season is in jeopardy. Jayden Higgins is a reliable wide receiver and will complement Nico Collins. Higgins has had four drops on 295 targets since 2022. Higgins will find immediate volume and long-term feasibility.
Houston has an open wide receiver room outside of Nico Collins. Both will look to dominate on the outside, and Higgins will be the WR2.
Dynasty rookie selection: Higgins should be selected in the early-to-mid second round of rookie drafts. Depending on your philosophy, the second-round running backs are hard to ignore.
2.36 – Quinshon Judkins, RB, Cleveland Browns
Cleveland has found their new workhorse. Quinshon Judkins had 582 touches in two years at Ole Miss and had 216 touches playing alongside TreVeyon Henderson at Ohio State: Judkins at 45 more touches.
Jerome Ford will revert to the RB2 role and help provide relief as needed. Cleveland had 308 total running back carries in 2024. It is safe to assume Judkins will get 250+ carries and 275+ touches in 2025.
Dynasty rookie selection: Judkins should be a mid-first-round selection. I would take him starting at 1.06.
2.38 – TreVeyon Henderson, RB, New England Patriots
New England finds a reliable running back as TreVeyon Henderson has not fumbled since his freshman year. Additionally, he will provide reliable pass protection for Drake Maye. Henderson is a home run threat every time he touches the ball; he averaged 7.1 yards-per-carry in 2024 and 10.5 yards-per-reception.
Rhamondre Stevenson’s stock will be going down. New England could move on after the 2025 season with a $4.85M dead cap hit, or $1.6M dead cap the following year. Henderson should take the majority of the touches while Stevenson helps as a bruiser.
Dynasty rookie selection: Henderson is a mid-first-round selection. I would take him starting at 1.06. This conflicts with the note above on Judkins, but you may prefer one over the other.
2.39 – Luther Burden III, WR, Chicago Bears
Luther Burden III is drafted to a team with WR DJ Moore, WR Rome Odunze, and fellow rookie TE Colston Loveland. Burden is a dynamic athlete and explosive playmaker. Situations are too fluid to fade top talent.
We know Moore is a stud, I think there are question marks surrounding Odunze. Burden has the opportunity to claim the WR2 role and target in the Ben Johnson offense. His skillset will be fun to scheme manufactured touches and allow Burden to create in space. QB Caleb Williams must be sleeping really well over the last two nights.
Dynasty rookie selection: I would select Burden in the late-first round. If he is available in the early second, I would try to trade up or be fortunate he fell in your lap.
2.40 – Tyler Shough, QB, New Orleans Saints
New Orleans utilized significant second-round draft capital to select a quarterback. Tyler Shough spent his first two collegiate years as Justin Herbert’s backup. Shough was a popular riser in the pre-draft process. He has made NFL-level throws displayed on his tape.
This selection may indicate Derek Carr will not be under center in 2025. New Orleans may look to add talent to surround Shough. WR Rashid Shaheed will be returning from injury, and WR Brandin Cooks was brought back for two years. TE Juwan Johnson is reliable and was Shough’s teammate at Oregon.
Dynasty rookie selection: It will be hard to ignore if Shough is the New Orleans starter. He should be considered a late second-round selection.
2.42 – Mason Taylor, TE, New York Jets
The New York Jets had a glaring hole for their TE1 position. Mason Taylor will develop as the Y-tight end; he had over 800 snaps in-line over the last two years. He has reliable hands and will be a pass-catching threat with great control working around linebackers.
WR Garrett Wilson is the notable pass-catching weapon in the Jets offense. They have veterans Allen Lazard and Josh Reynolds, with Malachi Corley looking to find a role at the position. TE Jeremy Ruckert will compete with Taylor for the TE1 role.
Dynasty rookie selection: Taylor should be considered with a mid-second-round selection. I'm tempering my expectations for 2025, but Taylor is an intriguing developmental asset.
2.46 – Terrance Ferguson, TE, Los Angeles Rams
The Los Angeles Rams found what they had been looking for; Sean McVay wanted to land Bock Bowers last year. Terrance Ferguson brings a unique dynamic to the position; over 25% of his catches last year went for 20 yards or more. He is efficient after the catch and will help move the chains for the Rams. In 2024, he had 42% of snaps in the slot and 41% of snaps in-line.
WR Puka Nacua and WR Davante Adams will be the top targets in the offense. Ferguson is in a great position to develop into a starting-level tight end for years to come. TE Tyler Higbee is the current TE1 and has been with the Rams since 2016. He is 31 years old, and Ferguson will be ready when his time comes.
Dynasty rookie selection: Ferguson should be a mid-second-round selection. He has the desired traits to succeed as a pure tight end. I don't see him as an immediate producer you can rely on. This is a great situation to develop in.
2.50 – Elijah Arroyo, TE, Seattle Seahawks
Elijah Arroyo is a vertical threat, utilizing his linear speed with a solid frame. He will need to develop his blocking skills, but it is hard to argue with the upside Arroyo provides. He lined up in the slot on 52% of his snaps and had 16.9 yards per catch in 2024. He is a fluid athlete, providing flexibility in the hips to provide utility as the F-tight end.
WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba and WR Cooper Kupp look to lead Seattle in targets. Arroyo will compete with TE Noah Fant for the F-snaps, while TE AJ Barner works in-line. I believe Arroyo is more fluid and explosive than Fant. It will be interesting to see how this situation develops; will Fant get traded, or will Arroyo take over the role? QB Sam Darnold has intriguing weapons and hopes to build on his 2024 success.
Dynasty rookie selection: Arroyo is in consideration for a late-second-round selection. There are 31 total players drafted through three rounds; Arroyo may drop to the early third. Tight ends have a lower hit rate than other positions.
2.55 – Tre Harris, WR, Los Angeles Chargers
Tre Harris and QB Justin Herbert will be a terrific combination. Harris will play on the outside; he had a 70 %+ success rate against press and man. He was first in yards per route run in 2023 and 2024, having 18.2 and 17.2 yards per reception.
WR Ladd McConkey will have no change in his dynasty outlook. Harris and McConkey will look to complement each other and be a lethal duo for Herbert. WR Quentin Johnston's stock will take a hit, even considering WR Mike Williams returning.
Dynasty rookie selection: Harris is an early second-round selection.
2.58 – Jack Bech, WR, Las Vegas Raiders
Las Vegas finds a wide receiver who works all over the field. Jack Bech notably played slot in 2023 and outside in 2024 at LSU. He is a reliable pass catcher with a drop rate of 1.8%, the craftiness to get open, and the ability to create after the catch.
WR Tre Tucker’s dynasty stock will take a hit, while WR Jakobi Meyers will be consistent as always; he has five straight seasons over 80 targets and four straight seasons over 95. Notably, he is in a contract year while Tucker is on his rookie contract through 2026. Bech’s skillset is closely aligned with Meyers', leaving the question of whether this will be a direct replacement for next season.
Dynasty rookie selection: Bech should be considered for a mid-to-late second-round selection.
2.60 – R.J. Harvey, RB, Denver Broncos
This is a desirable landing spot for R.J. Harvey. He has the speed desired to generate big plays and a reliable pass-catcher. He averaged 6.8 yards per carry and 13.4 yards per catch in 2024. Head coach Sean Payton has a great track record of developing his running backs, and it's worth noting that he singled out Harvey.
RB Audric Estime and RB Jaleel McLaughlin will see their outlook take a hit. It was assumed Denver would add to the depth chart, and they did with a second-round investment.
Among 31 FBS running backs with 200+ carries last year, RJ Harvey ranked...
