Draft week is here, and Footballguys will have you covered with a full slate of content, culminating with the Footballguys Rookie Guide Version 3.0. Kicking it off is a three-round mock draft. Team visits, predraft rumors, and team needs were considered to formulate a best guess at how the draft could play out.
1. Tennessee Titans - Cam Ward (QB - Miami)
This pick will be Ward. There is little drama left, and Ward helped end it when he named Tony Pollard and Calvin Ridley as the top players at their position. The team lists no starting receiver other than Ridley on their website depth chart. Expect them to add a weapon with their next pick, potentially getting Emeka Egbuka in this exercise. The team has been linked to Ward's former Washington State teammate Kyle Williams.
2. Cleveland Browns - Travis Hunter (WR / CB - Colorado)
After bouncing between Shedeur Sanders and Abdul Carter, every indication has the Browns locked in on Hunter. The Browns need help at both receiver and corner, and Hunter will get his wish of playing both sides. The Browns follow this pick up with Jaxson Dart, creating a three-way quarterback battle with Dart, Joe Flacco, and Kenny Pickett in camp. Jordan Burch is a versatile defensive lineman who can help support Myles Garrett.
3. San Francisco 49ers - Abdul Carter (Edge - Penn St.)
Trade: Pick #3 for Picks #11, #43, 2026 1st
This past week, Adam Schefter indicated the Giants are torn internally on Shedeur Sanders. Carter has separated himself to the point that if the Giants aren't taking him, they should consider making a move. It has been 434 days since the 49ers faced the Chiefs in the Super Bowl, and Nick Bosa is the only defensive lineman who saw significant playing time still on the roster. Carter locks in a cost-controlled blue chip player as Brock Purdy heads toward a potential contract extension that will force the team to shift roster construction. With 11 picks and expectations of a one-year deep, the team can afford this shot. The offensive line is also a concern. They follow with Ozzy Trapilo, a versatile player who can fill in his best slot, and Anthony Belton, a classic run-mauling right tackle.
4. New England Patriots - Will Campbell (OT - LSU)
Campbell or Armand Membou is the question. The local beat has the Patriots locked on Campbell, a player who excelled against multiple NFL pass rushers in the SEC. This draft has the Patriots investing heavily in building around Drake Maye, adding guard Tyler Booker, receiver Kyle Williams, and running back Dylan Sampson in subsequent picks.
5. Jacksonville Jaguars - Ashton Jeanty (RB - Boise St.)
Every mock draft has Michigan defensive tackle Mason Graham locked into this pick. There is little concern about Graham being a quality starter, but significant questions about his ability to be a home run pick. New general manager James Gladstone is not lacking in confidence, and there is little concern about Jeanty's ability as a home run hitter. Travis Etienne Jr. is on his fifth-year option with free agency looming, and Gladstone has already moved on from Christian Kirk and Evan Engram. Trey Amos is the type of long, athletic corner that Gladstone's previous employer, the Rams, has targeted. Alfred Collins may lack Graham's gap rushing ability, but he is a mountain against the run.
6. Las Vegas Raiders - Mason Graham (DT - Michigan)
If Graham doesn't go fifth, he will likely go sixth. The Michigan roots are deep in Las Vegas, with GM John Spytek and part-owner Tom Brady both alumni. Luther Burden and Kaleb Johnson in Round 2 and Round 3 give new quarterback Geno Smith additional weapons for an offense with Brock Bowers and Jakobi Meyers, and little else.
7. New York Jets - Armand Membou (OT - Missouri)
Campbell, Jeanty, Graham, and Membou stand as a tier given their positional value or, in Jeanty's case, high upside. The Jets attempted to cobble together the tackle position with Tyron Smith and Morgan Moses in 2024. Still, with both players now gone, it remains a significant need, despite drafting Olu Fashanu 11th overall in the same year. Mason Taylor in Round 2 addresses another significant need at tight end with a good value. Ty Robinson is a versatile defensive lineman and a plus athlete with a 9.89 Relative Athletic Score. The Jets should be thrilled with Membou on the board.
8. New York Giants - Shedeur Sanders (QB - Colorado)
Trade: Picks #11 & #105 for Pick #8
On his pre-draft media call, Daniel Jeremiah mentioned the Panthers as a trade-back team. The team likely recognizes the tier break facing them while also holding the ability to block division rival New Orleans from grabbing a quarterback. Here, the Giants can receive the package from the 49ers and move up to pick 11, then jump back as Giants GM Joe Schoen and Panthers GM Dan Morgan are close friends from their days in Buffalo. The Giants can maneuver the board and build a deep class, adding receiver Matthew Golden, corner Shavon Revel Jr., defensive tackle Joshua Farmer, and safety Andrew Mukuba on Day 2 while adding 2026 draft capital. Whatever split exists internally for the Giants could be eased with some movement on the board.
9. New Orleans Saints - Jalen Milroe (QB - Alabama)
We know Milroe is attending the draft. The comparisons to new coach Kellen Moore's Super Bowl-winning quarterback are obvious, with both players sharing athleticism and Alabama backgrounds. Many will say this pick is too high, but much like Michael Penix Jr. and the quarterback run of 2024, when a team doesn't have its answer at the position, "too high" leaves the conversation. Aireontae Ersery would give the Saints a mauler at tackle, and Tre Harris has the same school and playstyle comparisons to Hurts' top receiver, A.J. Brown. Moore can immediately implement elements of the scheme that helped win a Super Bowl two months ago.
10. Chicago Bears - Omarion Hampton (RB - North Carolina)
Another pick many will say is too early, but this draft drops off quickly on top-end talent, and Ben Johnson's Detroit offenses were built around the running back talent. The Bears are still flush with picks following the Bryce Young trade and add edge Mike Green, offensive lineman Donovan Jackson, and receiver Elic Ayomanor, addressing needs at good values.
11. Carolina Panthers - Jalon Walker (EDGE - Georgia)
The Panthers have been continually linked to Jalon Walker. Here they drop down the board and still land on him. Linebacker Carson Schwesinger can dramatically upgrade the middle of the defense, allowing Walker to unlock his positional versatility fully. Receiver Jayden Higgins is another big body receiver to help overcome some of Young's physical limitations.
12. Dallas Cowboys - Shemar Stewart (EDGE - Texas A&M)
Dallas has been mentioned as another team that could trade down, facing pressure to replace retired guard Zack Martin. The team has also been linked to running backs. Micah Parsons petitioned the Cowboys to draft Abdul Carter, but dealing with a division rival like New York is unlikely. Here, they roll the dice on an athletic freak in Stewart to help spread Parsons' pass rushing responsibilities. Tight end Elijah Arroyo is an athletic upgrade over Jake Ferguson, who will be a free agent following 2025. Receiver Savion Williams has been linked to the team and can participate in the backfield and as a receiver on schemed opportunities.
13. Miami Dolphins - Josh Simmons (OT - Ohio St.)
Terron Armstead's retirement is a significant issue for the Dolphins, given the health concerns around Tua Tagovailoa. Simmons may have cracked the Top 10 if an ACL had not ended his season early, and he holds a wide range of outcomes. The Dolphins have to address this position. Corner Darian Porter is a long player with ball skills who tested as a plus athlete, giving the team a chance to replace Jalen Ramsey. Safety Kevin Winston Jr. fills in for departed Jevon Holland.
14. Indianapolis Colts - Tyler Warren (TE - Penn St.)
Another frequent mock draft free square, Warren likely goes Top 10, but this is a floor outcome. Some have made a fair point about the Colts having receivers Michael Pittman Jr., Josh Downs, Adonai Mitchell, and Alec Pierce and not prioritizing tight end. This is a marriage of a clear weak spot on a roster and the best player available. Adding edge James Pearce Jr. in Round 2 is another value pick. The team rolls the dice on quarterback Tyler Shough in Round 3, tossing him into the mix with Anthony Richardson and Daniel Jones.
15. Los Angeles Chargers - Colston Loveland (TE - Michigan)
Trade: Picks #15, #118 for Picks #22, #55
I believe the ship has sailed on the Chargers landing Loveland at their original pick. They must add receiving talent for Justin Herbert, and the ties between Loveland and coach Jim Harbaugh are obvious. Ironically, Warren may be a better fit for the offensive system. Receiver Tai Felton brings elite speed to help stretch the field for Herbert.
16. Arizona Cardinals - Jihaad Campbell (LB - Alabama)
Campbell is one of the highest upside players in the draft, but positional value holds him back. Coach Jonathan Gannon can move Campbell around as a dramatic upgrade at off-ball linebacker and as a situational pass rusher. Edge Landon Jackson addresses a significant need and has the size to play a 3-4 defensive end. Corner Nohl Williams brings rare toughness and physicality to the position.
17. Cincinnati Bengals - Walter Nolen (DT - Ole Miss)
The Bengals have not had an interior rusher of Nolen's caliber since Geno Atkins retired in 2020. Safety Xavier Watts was a key contributor on new defensive coordinator Al Golden's Notre Dame team. Offensive tackle Charles Grant has the ceiling to replace Orlando Brown Jr. at left tackle long term.
18. Seattle Seahawks - Tetairoa McMillan (WR - Arizona)
McMillan could go inside the Top 10, but 18 is likely his floor. Replacing DK Metcalf with him would be a significant win, and he can pair with Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Cooper Kupp for a strong three-receiver rotation. Guard Tate Ratledge and center Jared Wilson reunite after playing together at Georgia. Edge JT Tuimoloau grew up 30 minutes outside of Seattle before attending Ohio State. Corner Jacob Parrish checks the athletic boxes the Seahawks have traditionally emphasized.
19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Malaki Starks (S - Georgia)
Starks is a versatile playmaker who can pair with Antoine Winfield Jr. and address a pass defense that ranked 30th. Jonah Savaiinaea can slide into the offensive line position that best suits him, while Omarr Norman-Lott provides needed depth on the defensive line.
20. Denver Broncos - TreVeyon Henderson (RB - Ohio St.)
Steam is gathering for this pick. Henderson's explosion is a dramatic upgrade for the Broncos' backfield. Tight end Terrance Ferguson reunites with his college quarterback, Bo Nix, while receiver Jack Bech rounds out a receiving corps that needs to add someone.
21. Pittsburgh Steelers - Derrick Harmon (DT - Oregon)
The running backs and quarterbacks are all off the board, leading to a meat-and-potatoes Steelers pick on the defensive line. Cameron Heyward is 36, and the defensive line is a significant need outside of him. Running back Damien Martinez is a physical runner who can plug in for the departed Najee Harris.
22. Atlanta Falcons - Will Johnson (CB - Michigan)
Johnson is all over the board. Some have him flirting with top-10 status, while others cite the concern about injuries and a lack of testing. The Falcons could take him at 15 and would be thrilled to land him at 22. Tyleik Williams and Oluwafemi Oladejo add needed talent to the defensive line.
23. Green Bay Packers - Mykel Williams (EDGE - Georgia)
Williams is the highest-rated SEC edge, fulfilling the requirements for a Packers first-round pick. Azareye'h Thomas is a potential replacement for Jaire Alexander, who could be moved during the draft. Ty Hamilton can plug in as a 3-4 defensive end in the Packers' scheme.
24. Minnesota Vikings - Grey Zabel (IOL - North Dakota St.)
The interior offensive line is the Vikings' most significant need, and Zabel is a good value here. Bhilal Kone has been a predraft visit and brings the athleticism the Vikings desire.
25. Houston Texans - Kelvin Banks (OL - Texas)
Banks has been projected as high as 11 to the 49ers, and 25 feels like the floor. There are some concerns about his ability to stick at left tackle in the NFL, but with the trade of Laremy Tunsil, the Texans have to take a chance. Receiver Jaylin Noel and tight end Harold Fannin Jr. bring a significant talent injection to a receiver room that struggled outside of Nico Collins in 2024. Offensive lineman Chase Lundt has the versatility to find his best fit.
26. Los Angeles Rams - Nick Emmanwori (S - South Carolina)
Emmanwori is a rare athlete and the type of player the Rams like to bet on. His fantastic Combine could push him much higher, but safety is a need. Royals brings strong after-the-catch ability and can fill in for the departed Demarcus Robinson. Thomas Fidone II is another RAS winner, and the Rams have hunted long-term tight end options.
27. Baltimore Ravens - Jahdae Barron (CB - Texas)
The Ravens would run this card in. Barron can go much higher, though concerns about his ability to play outside may drop him down the board. Defensive lineman Shemar Turner has come in for a visit, along with offensive lineman Carson Vinson, with guard a need.
28. Detroit Lions - Maxwell Hairston (CB - Kentucky)
Terrion Arnold had an up-and-down rookie year, while Carlton Davis III left in free agency after one season. Hairston's elite speed complements Arnold's physical game well. The Lions lack much at edge after Aidan Hutchinson, while Jack Sawyer is not a twitchy edge, he can hold up well in the run game and has shown a flair for dramatic moments. Miles Frazier is a mauler at guard, a need area.
29. Washington Commanders - Kenneth Grant (DT - Michigan)
Grant's size and physical presence can allow the rest of the line to fall into place. Quinshon Judkins is an ideal complement to Jayden Daniels, bringing physicality and more speed than Brian Robinson Jr.
30. Buffalo Bills - Donovan Ezeiruaku (EDGE - Boston College)
The Bills have plugged holes on the defensive line with veteran short-term rentals, but their lack of pressure against the Chiefs in the AFC Championship game stood in sharp contrast to the Eagles living in the backfield in the Super Bowl. Ezeiruaku is a pass-rushing specialist held back by struggles in the run game. Darius Alexander adds high upside depth on the defensive interior. Corner Benjamin Morrison is a scheme fit who slides due to injury recovery.
31. Kansas City Chiefs - Josh Conerly Jr. (OT - Oregon)
The Eagles unleashed the playbook to end the Chiefs' dynasty, and now the Chiefs need to answer, as every team will add pass rushing in a deep draft at that position. Conerly is one of the best last shots at a plug-and-play left tackle in the draft. Josiah Stewart and T.J. Sanders add depth on the defensive line, while Asa Pole is a late-stage riser with the athleticism to be a worthwhile project.
32. Philadelphia Eagles - Nic Scourton (EDGE - Texas A&M)
The Eagles lost Josh Sweat, Brandon Graham, and Milton Williams. Scourton and Elijah Roberts are the type of versatile players the Eagles have favored. Marcus Mbow is a predraft visitor who can play guard in the near term and potentially stick as a long-term replacement for Lane Johnson.
