PIT @ CLE
- Russell Wilson was surprisingly good in the snow and appears to have shrugged off his disappointing Week 11 performance. He's a fine streamer against the Bengals in Week 13.
- Jaylen Warren out-snapped and outplayed Najee Harris as the Steelers trailed in the second half. Warren and Harris are both upside flex plays against the Bengals.
- Calvin Austin III got the second-highest snap count of the Steelers wide receivers and converted all targets into catches, including the longest gain of the night and a touchdown. He's worth an add in deeper leagues with a remaining schedule that should force the Steelers to be more aggressive in the passing game.
- Cedric Tillman left with a concussion. His Week 13 status is unknown, but Jerry Jeudy had another good game with Jameis Winston and should be played against Denver, whether Tillman can go or not.
- David Njoku dropped a sure touchdown and was quiet for the rest of the night. He should bounce back against Denver, but we'll watch to see if this is the beginning of a downward trend, as the Browns also got their #2 and #3 tight ends involved in the passing game.
- Nick Chubb was held in check but scored twice and appears to be safe as at least a flex going forward.
- Jameis Winston was not as effective as he was in Week 12. He had to play in cold, snowy conditions and faced a good defense. He's not a preferred streamer facing a good Denver defense in Week 13.
TEN @ HOU
- Will Levis had a solid statistical game but also threw a pick-six, while a 70-yard Chig Okonkwo catch-and-run touchdown inflated his numbers. He's still only a desperation play against the Commanders. Okonkwo is worth a pickup in deep leagues in the hopes that this gets him more looks going forward.
- Tony Pollard was strong and spry with Tyjae Spears sitting because of a concussion. He'll be a flex play if Spears can play in Week 13 and an RB2 if Spears can't.
- Nick Westbrook-Ikhine somehow got lost by the defense and scored his sixth touchdown in seven games. You can't argue with that when you are choosing a what-the-heck flex.
- C.J. Stroud's play was uneven, and he was unable to finish a drive that would have put the Texans ahead with a touchdown. Ka'imi Fairbairn missed a chip-shot field goal to tie the game, and the Texans lost. Stroud isn't coming through as we'd hope for fantasy. He's not an automatic start against the Jaguars.
- Nico Collins is back to his old self and even got another long score wiped off the board by a penalty. Few wide receivers are more valuable in fantasy leagues.
- Joe Mixon was held in check by a strong Titans run defense. Washington's backfield is thin, and that's who will run at this tough front in Week 13. Mixon should bounce back against a Jacksonville team that might have to start Mac Jones.
MIN @ CHI
- Sam Darnold played a good game, start to finish, against a solid Bears defense. He's back to being a QB1 consideration against an underrated Arizona defense in Week 13.
- Aaron Jones fumbled at the goal line early in the game but rallied to have a great contest and assert himself atop this backfield as the clear lead back. Jones is back to being an RB2 play, and Cam Akers is a mere second-tier injury upside backup.
- Justin Jefferson was held in check, but Jordan Addison dominated all over the field. T.J. Hockenson had a big overtime to compensate and still posted a big day overall for the Vikings passing game. Jefferson will be fine after the secondary passing game pieces punished the Bears, even though they took away the #1 target.
- Caleb Williams continues to look a lot more comfortable in Thomas Brown's offense, and he's a high-ceiling QB1 against the Lions on Thanksgiving.
- Williams' improved his play as a passer helped make DJ Moore and Keenan Allen great plays and Cole Kmet a good play. Rome Odunze didn't post big numbers, but still caught five balls and overall his value is up with this passing game gaining momentum.
- D'Andre Swift did not get going as a runner and only avoided being a bigger Week 12 bust by catching a Williams improvisational throw that has to be seen to be believed. Roschon Johnson vulturing touchdowns is going to be a problem. Swift isn't an automatic play against a stout Lions run defense on Thanksgiving.
DAL @ WAS
- Cooper Rush wasn't terrible. It appears he'll hold off Trey Lance, support WR2 value for CeeDee Lamb, and streamer value for his tight end. He's still a desperation play in 2QB/Superflex but has some appeal against the Giants on Thanksgiving.
- Rico Dowdle was back to being the clear lead back after drops relegated him to the bench in the second half of a blowout loss last week. He's a solid RB2 play on Thursday.
- Luke Schoonmaker scored and looked more than worthy of a streaming tight end play against the Giants on Thanksgiving, with Jake Ferguson still unlikely to play because of a concussion.
- Jayden Daniels and the Washington offense is stale and struggled for much of the game. Micah Parsons' return has boosted the Cowboys pass rush, and they are playing hard for Mike McCarthy. But this was disappointing for Daniels even though he had a strong fantasy game thanks to an 86-yard scoring toss to Terry McLaurin when the Cowboys were in prevent late in the game and prevented fantasy wins for teams facing Daniels instead. Daniels isn't quite back to being an every-week, automatic start despite the big fantasy result.
- Brian Robinson Jr. left with an ankle injury, and Austin Ekeler suffered a concussion late in the game. Jeremy McNichols could start in Week 13, but he's only a what-the-heck flex after the Titans shut down Joe Mixon.
- Zach Ertz had a late touchdown and his strength in the short zone is matching what the Commanders can accomplish with consistency right now. He's a high-floor TE1 against Tennessee.
NE @ MIA
- Rhamondre Stevenson was overshadowed by Antonio Gibson and actually played one fewer snap than Gibson. Stevenson is back to being a shaky flex play against the Colts.
- Drake Maye wasn't especially effective against a resurgent Dolphins defense, and Austin Hooper caught the only offensive touchdown in garbage time. Playing from behind didn't fuel a great fantasy day for Maye, so he's a bench stash for now to see if he heats up against the Colts. None of his targets are more than what-the-heck plays led by Demario Douglas and Hunter Henry.
- The Patriots defense was bad (or maybe the Dolphins' downfield passing game was finally good). Expect Anthony Richardson to have some success in Week 13 against New England. Tua Tagovailoa might come back to cold, cold earth against the Packers on Thanksgiving night, but at least he is showing the high ceiling we saw last year.
- Jaylen Waddle was the biggest beneficiary of the downfield passing renaissance. It will be hard to bench him in Week 13 despite the cold conditions after a massive Week 12.
- Jonnu Smith was targeted frequently and has been a top-five fantasy tight end since the Week 6 bye. He has graduated from streamer to every-week play.
KC @ CAR
- Patrick Mahomes II had a strong game, thanks in part to the best game of Bryce Young's career forcing the Chiefs to keep the foot on the gas pedal. Mahomes is a solid QB1 play going into a Friday matchup with the Raiders.
- Kareem Hunt didn't score or have a huge role in the passing game, so he was underwhelming for fantasy. We'll see if Isiah Pacheco returns for Week 13 to close Hunt's value window.
- Travis Kelce wasn't a dud, but Noah Gray caught both tight end touchdowns for the second week in a row. Gray is a waiver wire pickup, and while he's unlikely to have more value than Kelce down the stretch, it's possible that both could be viable plays if the Chiefs have to open up the pass offense more often.
- DeAndre Hopkins caught a short score to at least post WR3/Flex numbers, but this wide receiver group isn't going to give us consistent play going forward.
- Bryce Young was outstanding, and there's hope his development will get back on track after this performance. With a matchup against Tampa up next, he might even have value in 1QB leagues.
- Chuba Hubbard remained in control of this backfield even with Jonathon Brooks' debut. Brooks played five snaps and got two carries.
- David Moore was Young's #1 receiver and should be added if bench size allows to see if this is the start of the trend. All three of Moore, Adam Thielen, and Xavier Legette had their moments in this game, and all three are what-the-heck flexes. Jalen Coker missed this game but could play in Week 13 to complicate matters.
- Ja'Tavion Sanders was having a decent game with Young coming alive, but he left with a scary neck injury. It doesn't sound serious, but it's not clear how much time he will miss.
TB @ NYG
- Baker Mayfield was outstanding in distributing the ball to 11 different receivers. He had a good fantasy game with potential to be great if the Giants had made this a game or if the running backs didn't score three times on the ground. Mayfield is back to being a QB1 with the return of Mike Evans.
- Evans wasn't back to his full role, but he was good enough if you played him and should be even better against the Panthers in Week 13.
- Cade Otton went back to being a role player in the passing game with Evans return. He's probably a drop if you have a strong option at tight end.
- The backfield is a committee, but Bucky Irving has moved to the top of the group and should be in lineups every week. He was heavily involved in the passing game. He was also tackled at the one, or he would have had an even bigger game.
- Sean Tucker got the first touchdown of the day and had a shot at a second but fumbled at the goal line. His value for this year has probably peaked unless there are injuries in the Tampa backfield.
- Tommy Devito looked like a third-string quarterback, but he'll start if he's healthy enough after getting banged up in this game. If not, we'll see Drew Lock on Thanksgiving.
- Malik Nabers wasn't targeted until the second half. He's frustrated, and his fantasy teams are frustrated, but this probably isn't getting any better this year. We'll see if he gets a squeaky wheel game on Thanksgiving.
- Tyrone Tracy Jr. fumbled in the red zone after his overtime fumble lost the last game the Giants played before their Week 11 bye. Devin Singletary later got a short yardage score, and Tracy's involvement diminished. Tracy is only a what-the-heck flex for Week 13 while we wait to see how the Giants will handle this.
DET @ IND
- The Colts defense held the Lions to only 24 points, and the running backs scored all three touchdowns on the ground, making a quiet day for Jared Goff and the Detroit passing game. Chalk this one up to variance.
- David Montgomery left the game with a shoulder injury but said he thinks he will play on Thanksgiving. Stay tuned. If Montgomery is out, the team will likely just use Jahmyr Gibbs as a workhorse.
- Kalif Raymond left with a foot injury. He'll likely miss at least a week. Tim Patrick was more involved and has risen to what-the-heck flex depth with Raymond sidelined.
- Amon-Ra St. Brown has a knee issue and was estimated as missing practice on Monday. We'll let you know if his status is in danger for Thursday morning.
- Sam LaPorta didn't do much for fantasy but was targeted six times. Don't give up on him after T.J. Hockenson got free multiple times against the Bears (Detroit's Week 13 opponent) last week.
- Anthony Richardson played better than his stats and was let down by an end zone drop and offensive penalties. He did lose Josh Downs for at least Week 13 but faces a beatable Patriots defense this week, so consider him if you don't have an obvious QB1.
- Jonathan Taylor was predictably held in check by the Lions' stifling run defense. D'Andre Swift draws them on Thanksgiving. Taylor should bounce back against the Patriots.
- Michael Pittman Jr. left briefly with a shoulder injury, but he produced like a #1 and will be in that role against New England. He needs to be in Week 13 lineups.
- Alec Pierce will have a high ceiling as a deep ball specialist and should be a flex consideration in Week 13 despite catching only one ball in this game.
DEN @ LV
- The Broncos offense is running through Bo Nix now, and he is shining. He'll be a high-floor QB1 against the Browns in Week 13 and has a somewhat favorable (IND, @LAC, @CIN) schedule after his Week 14 bye.
- Courtland Sutton has emerged as Nix's clear #1 target and is playing the best football of his career. He's a fantasy WR1 from here on out.
- Javonte Williams faded into the background after a sudden resurgence in Week 11. It's best to not even roster any Broncos back going forward.
- Devaughn Vele is emerging as the #2 target for Nix. He's rosterable if bench size allows.
- Gardner Minshew II left with a broken collarbone. Aidan O'Connell will start in Week 13 on Friday at Kansas City. O'Connell leaned on Brock Bowers in his only full game this year, but Jakobi Meyers was out. Both should be in Week 13 lineups.
- Dylan Laube fumbled a kickoff return, eliminating himself from consideration for snaps and touches in the backfield, so it was Ameer Abdullah's show. He was a solid flex play and should be one again if Zamir White and Alexander Mattison are out for Week 13.
ARI @ SEA
- Kyler Murray was frustrated as the Seattle defense rose to the occasion against an NFC West opponent again. Murray and the Cardinals offense lost all of the momentum they had going into the bye and face a tough Vikings defense in Week 13. Murray isn't an automatic start.
- James Conner was shut down, but not a total bust because of passing game involvement. Stick with him in Week 13.
- Trey McBride was most of the pass offense as Marvin Harrison Jr.. was neutralized by the Seahawks secondary. Harrison remains a boom/bust WR3/Flex after being drafted in the top 15-20 this summer.
- Geno Smith was under a lot of pressure and played better than the quiet offensive afternoon indicates. He'll be able to support the value of DK Metcalf and Jaxon Smith-Njigba down the stretch.
SF @ GB
- Brandon Allen had a rough afternoon as the 49ers offense missed Brock Purdy and Trent Williams. We'll be monitoring Purdy and Williams status for Week 13, but if they can't go again at Buffalo, then only George Kittle will be a safe play from the San Francisco passing game.
- Christian McCaffrey lacked burst and was bottled up easily as a runner. It doesn't look like he is going to have anywhere near first round fantasy impact.
- Josh Jacobs was a force and the 49ers had trouble tackling him all day. James Cook will take aim at this weary defense in Week 13 and Jacobs may have his workload reduced against the Dolphins on Thanksgiving - keep him in lineups nonetheless!
- Jordan Love had another low volume passing game and will have a low margin of error for fantasy if this continues.
- Romeo Doubs left with a concussion, so the target tree could be narrower against Miami, but none of the Packers are safe plays even if Doubs sits. Jayden Reed has a high ceiling even on low attempts, so he should be in lineups. Christian Watson has a similar profile if Doubs is out. Dontayvion Wicks will be a what-the-heck flex.
- Tucker Kraft scored and was also tackled at the one, but he has still leveled off as a low ceiling/low floor less than ideal TE1 in the run heavy Packers offense,
PHI @ LAR
- Saquon Barkley is playing at as high a level as we've seen at running back since Adrian Peterson's peak.
- The Eagles don't need to pass much to win comfortably with their defense coming on and Barkley setting the standard, so Jalen Hurts is going to have more floor game exposure down the stretch. That might not apply this week at Baltimore, where the Eagles may have to pass more to keep pace with Lamar Jackson.
- The Eagles pass rush is coming on and they will be a good test for Jackson. Matthew Stafford had a rougher night than the stats indicate, but has a better matchup against the Saints this week and should be in QB1 consideration.
BAL @ LAC
- Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry had their typical ho-hum outstanding games against a good Chargers defense. They continue to be important parts of winning fantasy teams.
- Rashod Bateman and Mark Andrews scored, but there were no ceiling games among Jackson's targets. Flowers and Andrews remain every week plays while Bateman could have a tough matchup against Quinyon Mitchell in Week 13 and is only a what-the-heck flex.
- Justin Herbert is most efficient targeting Ladd McConkey. McConkey is an everyweek WR3/Flex now.
- JK Dobbins went down with a knee injury. It's probably not serious, but could sideline him for Week 13 and beyond. Gus Edwards is the backup. He scored in garbage time, but was otherwise unimpressive. Hassan Haskins and/or Kimani Vidal could make this into a split backfield and give us no clear play while Dobbins is out.
