We've finally reached the point where we mutter the yearly chant of “This has to be the worst year for injuries” because we forget that football is a violent sport. This finally allows dynasty players to make the most out of a dryer waiver wire compared to redraft.
Quarterbacks
This isn't the most relevant aspect of superflex formats because most quarterbacks will be rostered. But with teams carrying three quarterbacks, it isn't necessary to carry some if other value is available.
Priority Add
- Tyler Huntley, Miami (90% Availability)
There is no sugarcoating this. We've seen the 49ers work their way to Brock Purdy (which worked out) on the depth chart. Tua should miss a large chunk of time even though he's been open about no plans to retire. This would make Skylar Thompson the starter and Huntley the new backup. From his time in Baltimore, we know that Huntley is mobile. Miami can get the most out of even below-average quarterbacks, so this seems like a no-brainer.
Add of the Future
- Jarrett Stidham, Broncos (81% Availability)
We saw how Carolina is willing to act so far.
Sources: The #Panthers are benching former No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young and starting veteran Andy Dalton beginning this week.

Coach Dave Canales has repeatedly said “Bryce is our quarterback.” But with the season quickly slipping away, Canales decided to make a change. pic.twitter.com/jTYawQCi2C
Jarrett Stidham is a solid backup who can keep your offense relevant, and we could see him sooner rather than later if Bo Nix continues to struggle. His 11 for 36 for 212 yards and 4 INTs on passes longer than five yards is incredibly alarming. Furthermore, Sean Payton needs to prove he's worth the draft capital and contract cost to hire him, so he should be making plans for both his and his rookie quarterback's future.
