The Guru’s Notepad IDP Info: Notes for Week 3

As I watch games from Thursday through Monday Night Football, I take notes on the things that catch my eye. From injuries to unexpected box score production both good and bad, to scheme quirks and situations that could affect a player's production in weeks to come. By Wednesday evening I turn these notes and the subsequent news and investigation into the Eyes of the Guru column.

On Monday mornings, I will be sharing those raw notes. There will not be a lot of analysis or in-depth description. Those things take time and will come later in the week. The goal is to give our customers an early heads up on things that could impact your important decisions for the week, so if something in the notes is particularly important to your team, you can look into it on your own and/or wait until the EOTG comes out that week to get my take.

These are the notes from week three.

IDP Notes: IDP Notes: Arizona

• What got into Dennis Gardeck? 6-0-3
• No LB with more than 2 solo stops. Kyzir White 2-5, Mack Wilson 0-4, Owen Pappoe 2-1, Krys Barnes 2-2-1 lopsided game 41-10

IDP Notes: Atlanta

• Monday Night Football

IDP Notes: Baltimore

• Odafe Oweh 4-1-2.5 FF
• Marlon Humphrey 8-2 int
• Not much opportunity for the linebackers. Raiders ran 14 times. Roquan Smith 4-7 PD, Trenton Simpson 3-2

IDP Notes: Buffalo

• Terrell Bernard pectoral, not season ending but an IR candidate. 7th-round rookie Baylon Spector finished the game at MLB 7-3, Dorian Williams 5-5. Nicholas Morrow?  
• Buffalo safeties Rapp and Hamlin may be worth a look. Hamlin 8-2, Rapp 3-2
• Rousseau came back to earth but did he play 70+ % of the snaps again?

IDP Notes: Carolina

• A'Shawn Robinson 6-0 a worthy addition in tackle required leagues
• Shaq Thompson 8-6, Josey Jewell 8-3 FR snaps?
• No pass rush

IDP Notes: Chicago

• Kevin Byard III bounced back nicely
