Week 16 NFL Player Props
We'll be using many different sportsbooks for these NFL player prop lines. Our advice is to always line-shop at as many sportsbooks as possible to find the best possible line!
Rashod Bateman Over/Under 17.5 Longest Reception (BetMGM)
I don't think many people would be surprised to see that Bateman has summited his longest reception player prop in ten of his 14 games this season.
Lamar Jackson has ascended to another level when passing the football for the Ravens this season, and Bateman, despite taking second fiddle most games to Zay Flowers, has become a major cog for the Ravens' success in 2024.
Bateman is battling a hamstring issue coming into this week's battle against the Steelers, but coach John Harbaugh says everything is a full go heading into the weekend.
As long as Bateman plays, he has a gem matchup here. He will spend time seeing both Joey Porter Jr. and James Pierre in this game, but Porter has had a tough year, and Pierre is projected to start in place of the injured Donte Jackson, which could end up being a point of attack for Todd Monken in his notes this weekend.
Pick: Bateman OVER 17.5 Longest Reception (-120)
Brian Thomas Jr. Over/Under 73.5 Receiving Yards (DraftKings)
Thomas has quickly turned into a star.
Not only does he trail only Ladd McConkey for yards by rookie wide receivers this season, but Thomas also has hit the over on this prop in eight games this season. For a rookie to have eight games with more than 75 yards despite playing with an injured Trevor Lawrence for most of the season and Mac Jones for the rest, he has to be a special talent.
The Raiders have been one of the most heavy teams in PROE Against lately, with the fifth-highest rating in the last four weeks. Their secondary, which plays more man coverage than the average, has trended down, allowing multiple high-yardage games to WRs.
Thomas should be able to move freely against this defense, while the Jaguars' own defensive issues should keep them throwing.
Pick: Thomas OVER 73.5 Receiving Yards (-115)
