Our Footballguys Staff spent 200+ hours this week sifting through every story from every team to bring you everything you need to know in a 12-minute read.
It's what we do at Footballguys.
One of the best and most comprehensive features we offer every year is our Footballguys Preseason Updates. Every week this month, Bob Henry, Jason Wood, Clayton Gray, and their team of Footballguys Staffers cover every player that matters from every NFL team. It's 32-plus pages of some of the most comprehensive coverage you'll find. It's probably worth the Footballguys Premium Subscription by itself.
While I encourage you to read the full report on every team, I also understand "Life Happens."
And one of the more valuable services Footballguys can add is saving you time.
For this article, I had the idea of taking the full Preseason Updates and asking our team writers to distill it down into 100-proof shots of the Need-to-Know material. Some teams will have more news than others because that's how it works in real life.
Much of it will be from the Preseason Updates, some of it will be my takes, but all of it will hopefully be useful to you. And make sure to jump on our Premium Subscription to continue seeing this type of stuff all year long. And if this feature is helpful to you, shoot me an email at bryant@footballguys.com and let me know.
Plus, for each team, I've included a link to our Depth Charts and also to the Full Camp Report. If you like these bullets and want more detail, check out the Full Camp Report for each team.
Let's get to it.

Atlanta Falcons | Depth Chart | Full Preseason Update
- QB Kirk Cousins is fully cleared and amazingly appears fully recovered from his Achilles injury.
- RBs Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier have been splitting first-team reps. Robinson doesn't seem certain to have a bellcow role.

- WR Drake London is building a solid connection with Cousins.
- WR Ray-Ray McCloud currently has the edge on Rondale Moore for the WR3 role.
- TE Kyle Pitts is having the best camp of his career.
Baltimore Ravens | Depth Chart | Full Preseason Update
- QB Lamar Jackson is over an illness that caused him to miss most of the first week of camp.
- RB Derrick Henry is in fantastic shape and poised to lead the running back group. He's setting the tone for work ethic and is turning heads.
- RB Justice Hill should have a big role as Henry's top backup, and John Harbaugh even said he views Hill as a starter.
- WRs Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman are locked in as starting wide receivers, and Bateman has developed a much stronger rapport with Jackson.
- TE Mark Andrews is the top pass catcher, and the team is also looking to get backup tight end Isaiah Likely more heavily involved.
Buffalo Bills | Depth Chart | Full Preseason Update
- The feeling is that quarterback Josh Allen can remain an elite fantasy QB despite the loss of his top weapon, Stefon Diggs.
- RB James Cook returns as the feature back, while rookie Ray Davis could emerge as a complementary piece.
- WR Khalil Shakir is quickly becoming this offense's go-to receiver, but rookie Keon Coleman has also made big plays in camp.
- TE Dalton Kincaid is a popular breakout candidate, but Dalton Knox may limit his playing time and overall upside.
- On defense, the safety position remains a question mark, and the team hopes that Von Miller can return to form as an edge rusher.
Carolina Panthers | Depth Chart | Full Preseason Update
- QB Bryce Young is showing growth in his second camp and playing more like he did in college.
- Rookie RB Jonathon Brooks is unlikely to play until the third or fourth game of the regular season as he recovers from a torn ACL.
- RB Chuba Hubbard will lead the backfield while Brooks is out.
- While WR Diontae Johnson might be the go-to receiver, WR Adam Thielen is still a big part of the offense.
Chicago Bears | Depth Chart | Full Preseason Update
- QB Caleb Williams is having ups and downs, typical of a rookie in his first week of NFL camp.
- The WR room is top-heavy with DJ Moore, Keenan Allen, and Rome Odunze, but also deep with the emergences of Tyler Scott and Collin Johnson.
- RB Roschon Johnson appears to be ahead of Khalil Herbert for the RB2 battle.
- TE Gerald Everett's role in the offense could dramatically hurt Cole Kmet's fantasy value.
