An easy way to gain an edge over your competition is to take advantage of the differences in the pre-draft automatic player rankings across the sites. There is a natural tendency for most drafters to be heavily influenced by the pre-draft rankings they see when they enter the CBS draft room. In today's article, we will compare the CBS ADP to the Footballguys Consensus to identify which players we could potentially steal later in CBS drafts than on a different platform.
Stealing these players is how you beat CBS Fantasy Football.
ADP Values on CBS
The ten players are drafted significantly later on CBS than on other sites. This allows you to get extreme draft value if others in your league stick too closely to the CBS automated rankings.
Players to Target on CBS
WR Chris Olave, New Orleans
Olave is a Top 24 pick on every major draft platform except one -- CBS Sports. His CBS ADP of 32 is a full 10 spots lower than anywhere else. Fantasy drafters are understandably excited about Olave as he heads into his third season. Despite battling some nagging injuries, he posted 1,000+ yards in each of his first two seasons. He went from 72 catches as a rookie to 87 last season. A similar increase in production is possible in Year 3.
WR Rashee Rice, Kansas City
With Marquise Brown nursing a sore shoulder, Rice and rookie Xavier Worthy are set to open the season as the starting wide receivers for the Chiefs. Rice was a consensus third-round pick before legal troubles sent his ADP tumbling. Footballguys legal expert Drew Davenport thinks the fantasy community has overreacted and believes Rice is a strong value in your drafts.

WR Terry McLaurin, Washington
McLaurin has posted four straight seasons with at least 77 catches and 1,000 receiving yards. His floor is incredibly high for a player whose CBS ADP is down at 79th overall. In addition to his safety, take into account his upside in 2024. The Commanders will have an entirely new offensive system under new offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury and added exciting rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels.

Players Going Earlier on CBS
If you want any of the ten players listed below, you will likely have to draft them earlier on CBS than on most other sites.
Beware of reaching for injured players
Marquise Brown, Nick Chubb, T.J. Hockenson, and Jonathon Brooks are all injured heading into the 2024 season. It is unclear when any will be cleared to return to action. There will also be a ramp-up period even after returning to the practice. It is hard to justify reaching for any of these guys at or near their current ADPs on CBS.
Late-Round CBS Values
In addition to the potential value options going early in your draft, here are ten players going late in CBS drafts that are more highly valued in the Footballguys Consensus.
- Darnell Mooney is the clear WR2 in Atlanta. We know Kirk Cousins can support a high-end WR1, a top tight end, and a fantasy-relevant WR2. We saw Jordan Addison excel in a similar role to what Mooney should handle in 2024.
- Joshua Palmer is the top outside wide receiver for the Chargers. He is a solid depth option anywhere near his current CBS ADP of 179. While there are concerns about how much the Chargers will throw it, Justin Herbert is too talented for the team to take the air out of the ball completely.
