The goal of dynasty football is to win the championship. If you are trying to win now, trading away an asset like Travis Kelce or George Kittle will not be beneficial. Despite the aging concerns, those tight ends provide immediate production. You could trade away Kelce or Kittle, so long as your backup will help you compete.

If you are trading away an asset while competing, you should trade away an injured or an over-hyped player.
TE to Trade Away - T.J. Hockenson, Minnesota – TE7
Hockenson will miss the start of the season as he tore his ACL in Week 16 of 2023. A typical ACL recovery is nine months. This trajectory will place him around a Week 12 return. Hockenson was likely your TE1 and you will need to replace his production. I would target a rebuilding team in your league and trade them Hockenson.
