Conference Championship Round NFL Player Props
We'll be using many different sportsbooks for these NFL player prop lines. Our advice is to always line-shop at as many sportsbooks as possible to find the best possible line!
Khalil Shakir Over/Under 5.5 Receptions (DraftKings)
With the Buffalo Bills' run game on full display so far in the playoffs, it would make complete sense for the Kansas City Chiefs, whose defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo loves to take away the opposing team's best attribute a la Bill Belichick in his Patriots days, to focus on selling out to stop the run defensively.
In turn, that puts the spotlight on Josh Allen throwing the football, and who runs a route over 70% of the time, tops among the Bills' pass-catchers? That's right, Shakir does.
Shakir has hit this line in nine of his 17 games this season and had eight catches against the Chiefs in their regular season matchup.
We could see the Chiefs play more zone coverage against a quarterback like Allen, who has regularly destroyed man coverage like the Chiefs run for 22 of his 28 passing touchdowns in 2024. That would benefit Shakir, who wrecked zone coverage all season and thrives against it.
Pick: Shakir OVER 5.5 receptions (+120)
Austin Ekeler Over/Under 26.5 Receiving Yards (DraftKings)
Ekeler has had a bumpy season, but he has been remarkably consistent, as usual, in the receiving category. He had 10 of his 14 games this season end with at least 20 receiving yards. And in seven of them, he got over 26.
Now he comes up against the Philadelphia Eagles, who have allowed seven different running backs this season over 26 receiving yards, in a matchup at Lincoln Financial Field where the Commanders could be throwing as six-point underdogs.
Ekeler has been a reliable checkdown option for rookie QB Jayden Daniels, even if Daniels loves keeping the ball himself and running with it.
This is a great spot for the veteran running back, and we should look to see him hit this over.
Pick: Ekeler OVER 26.5 receiving yards (-115)
