A great source for evaluating players is comparing a player’s Dynasty valuation with the redraft market. To do this, you compared their Dynasty valuation with their Best Ball ADP. Players with higher Dynasty valuations than Best Ball ADPs are overvalued in the near term, while players with higher Best Ball ADPs than Dynasty values are undervalued. This is particularly true later in Dynasty drafts when longevity is less of a concern. This article focuses on tight ends who are undervalued in Dynasty.

Taysom Hill, New Orleans Saints

Best Ball TE21 – Dynasty TE40

Taysom Hill has a Best Ball ADP of TE21, well ahead of his TE40 Dynasty valuation. Hill had a career-high 22 targets in 2019 but has only 31 targets in the three seasons since then. Hill is a rushing weapon as a gadget-type player but could face significant competition from free agent acquisition Jamaal Williams in the ground game. Hill had 18 carries in the red zone in 2022, while Williams led the league in red zone carries in 2022 with 58. One of the benefits of the Best Ball format is his touchdowns will likely place him in Best Ball lineups, but you are much less likely to benefit in Dynasty formats, where you have to start a lineup.

Tyler Higbee, Los Angeles Rams

Best Ball TE16 – Dynasty TE29

Tyler Higbee is the perfect candidate for this list. Higbee is 30 years old and in the final year of his contract, so the market is skeptical about his long-term value in Dynasty. However, in the immediate term, Higbee is the second option in the passing game in the Rams’ passing game that has little in the form of proven receiving threats outside of Cooper Kupp. Higbee was TE6 in season-long fantasy points in 2022, despite a drop in his route participation when the Rams had offensive line issues. Higbee is in a great spot to crush his Dynasty valuation.
