Week 15 lineup building for FanDuel tournaments will be fun. The lack of overwhelming chalk at wide receiver (only two players currently projected over 16.5% ownership) makes it the key to the slate. Unlike some recent weeks when running back was loaded and the wide receiver plays seemed more obvious this week we have a limited number of running back options with obvious upside. Plus, the running back ownership looks sharp this week. The best plays are almost universally going to be popular (though we will dive deeper into a couple of exceptions below). On the other hand, there are enough strong passing matchups this week featuring teams with a deep cast of pass catchers, the options for building at wide receiver are much deeper.
We do not typically talk about the start time of games. In fact, this may be the first time all season in which it plays such a big factor that it feels worth mentioning.
Here are the game totals for the seven games that kick off at 1:00 PM Eastern this week:
36.5
36.5
37.5
37.0
33.5
39.5
42.5
Only one of the seven (Buccaneers-Packers) has a total above 40.
Here are the game totals of the three late games on the main slate:
50.5
48.0
49.5
Most of the chalky options and big game stacks are going to be from these games starting late. This will make your late swap decisions even more important. If you have some players who underperform in the early games, you are going to want to look for some unique angles to attack the high-scoring late games. Catching up to the pack if you start slow will be difficult since so many of the top late plays will be so heavily owned.
